What a fucking miss Anderson wide open
Beachum hasn't been great but hes miles better than Brandon Shell. Shell is showing every bit why hes a 5th round tackle. He didn't inherit his uncle's talent one bit

Did someone tell the M.O. to Anderson that NE was blitzing and he needed to turn around? What the fuck was that?
That one isnt on Darnold probably the only INT.

Again Darnold throwing off his back foot and just lobbing it up in the air for an easy pick. Terrible.

No awareness Pats have been running cover-0 all night, the pressure shouldn't be coming as a surprise to him at this point. He needs to organise his protection to stop these free rushers. And I'm not sure what you want Anderson to do, Darnold threw that about 10 yards to the right of where he was running.

I agree but I would say also that the coaching staff isnt making plays to counter the blitz. Use Bell as a RB screen. That was uncatchable snap, this oline blows Anderson needs to run a better route, he does one good route and that's it Darnold lofted it up expecting him to be there. Anderson didn't even turn his head around knowing how few seconds there are each snap.

Why is he throwing off his back foot? He cant any kind of power or touch on the throw.
Hes playing scared that was awful. Protection was good he just is playing scared and feeling the pressure.

What an embarrassing performance by the Jets. Holy shit. One or two people should lose their jobs because of it. I posted before about Darnold not adjusting the protection to handle the blitz but given how completely shot he clearly was, the coaching staff has to step in and make some changes. Admittedly I don't watch much of the bad teams because I mainly watch the featured games but I think that's easily the worst performance by an NFL team that I've ever seen. I said after the Browns MNF game a few weeks ago that Lev Bell was really the only player to come out of the game with any credit whatsoever, and the same thing happened again tonight, plus they actually had their starter available. I know the Patriots have played a lot of bad teams but their defence is posting some truly astonishing numbers. QBs against them have thrown 1 touchdown against 15 interceptions all season, and Stephon Gilmore has as many interceptions as he's allowed completions against him in the past two games. Ridiculous.

Damn and I thought Daniel Jones had a bad game....at least he threw the ball halfway decent, he just has a fumbling issue. Darnold was a complete and utter shitshow tonight. Nothing redeeming about that performance whatsoever.
Really the entire Jets offense was putrid, but Darnold was the most noticeable offender by far.

I think Jones' performance was disappointing because this was the week I expected him to have a decent game in a nice spot with the weapons back against a meh defence. With that said I think tonight was a big tipping point for the argument that the Giants would live to regret taking Saquon over Darnold. Sam's now played 16 games - he's under 60% completion, 20 TDs and 20 interceptions. If Jones is still turning the ball over at this rate a year from now then I'll be as sceptical of him as I am about Darnold being the answer.

Here’s my takeaways from this weekend. 1- We’ll start here because it just finished. Yup. Sam Darnold was awful. His accuracy was horrid. Those two red zone interceptions were such low IQ throws. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Blindy can blame the O-Line all he wants and protect the franchise boy but he was awful. 2- The Patriots are winning the Super Bowl again. Let’s face it. This defense is amazing. @hr already dropped all the facts I needed to see to know it’s already over. I’m just curious which QB will square off against him. 3- Because lets be honest. The NFC is so fucking dope right now. I’m over the Lions being screwed by the way. Aaron Rodgers is 3-0 without Davante Adams. The Saints are undefeated without Drew Brees. The San Francisco 49ers are undefeated like the Patriots. I’ll take any of those 3 teams in the SB. Brady vs Rodgers? Let’s do it. Brady vs Brees? Let’s rock and roll. Brady vs Jimmy G? Oh the drama! Anything is possible in the NFC and that’s without discussion Seattle, Minnesota and the Rams. 4- Okay, so I didn’t talk about the Panthers there. They have a chance. We need to see how this BYE goes because as of today, Cam is not rushing back. Hell, I think Cam wants to get healthy and go elsewhere soon. This franchise belongs to CMC now and he knows it. If Cam was here, he would be trying to outshine CMC and they wouldn’t be 4-2 right now. Time to move on from Cam. Cam to the Raiders is a possibility. They have the trade pieces for it and they got more today. 5- The Texans have no future. Bill O’Brien must know his job is on a short leash. On such a short leash that he’s trading 3rd round picks for busts. The Texans are playing for now, but after what Indy did to them, the AFC South might not be there’s after all. 6- The Bears are done. What a shame. Their offense is just awful. They put up 3 points against the Saints offensively. It’s despicable watching them play football right now. Trubisky over Watson and Mahomes will be talked about in Chicago for ages as the worst move ever made by that franchise. 7- Ryan Fitzpatrick might cost the Dolphins the Tua Bowl. Tua is injured right now anyways, but if they’re “tanking for Tua”, they need to put Rosen back in. Speaking of Rosen; this dudes finished. The Dolphins finally showed life on offense and it’s because of the old man gunslinger. Josh Rosen was such a cocky prick during the draft too so it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. 8- The Atlanta Falcons. Boy what a surprise. This team is awful. It’s like their defense got worse then last year. Now they’ll try and rush Matt Ryan back from an ankle injury so they don’t have to start Matt Schaub. I can’t believe he’s still in the NFL. It’s time to part ways with the coach. This franchise will never come back from that choke job as long as he’s there. 9- The Kansas City Chiefs are in trouble. We can say they’ll be alright all we want but with that poor defense and Matt Moore QBing; it seems gloom. This is going to be a huge test for Andy Reid. Their next 3 opponents are the Packers, Vikings and Titans. All without Mahomes and that’s assuming he only misses the 3 games. They could realistically be 5-5 before their MNF game against the Chargers. Which they shouldn’t rush Mahomes back for considering the following week is a BYE. I don’t think it’s wise to have him play in any of these next 4 games. The AFC West is wide open folks. 10- Melvin Gordon lost the game, lost me a fantasy league and lost someone over $50K on a parlay. He also lost millions of dollars. The Chargers and Raiders are still in it after tough losses but the Chiefs could win this division by default if these teams don’t step it up. 11- Kerryon Johnson has a knee injury and will be out weeks. David Johnson is dealing with a lingering back issue. I don’t see him finishing out the year. I have Chase Edmonds in all my leagues and I suggest you do too. Adam Thielen will be OUT this weekend but that’s against the miserable Redskins who could be without Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson this week. What a shit show organization. AJ Green is nearing a return, but is it worth it for the franchise if they want to keep him to have him come back in this lost season? Will Barkley finish this season after another injury scare? Will Davante Adams come back this week? Will the Saints rest Kamara this week because they’re 1 week before a BYE and the return of Brees? These are the injury storylines that we should know. My playoff predictions after Week 7! AFC: 1- New England Patriots 2- Baltimore Ravens (holy shit right?) 3- Kansas City Chiefs (10-6 wont be enough for a BYE) 4- Indianapolis Colts 5- Buffalo Bills 6- Houston Texans KC def HOU INDY def BUF NE def BUF KC def BAL NE def KC (sorry Andy) NFC: 1- San Francisco 49ers 2- New Orleans Saints 3- Green Bay Packers 4- Dallas Cowboys 5- Los Angeles Rams 6- Seattle Seahawks GB def SEA LAR def DAL LAR def SF NO def GB NO def LAR SUPER BOWL: New England def New Orleans 27-23

If Jones is still turning the ball over at this rate a year from now then I'll be as sceptical of him as I am about Darnold being the answer. Unlike Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield, Darnold didn't have the luxury of keeping his OC for a 2nd year in a row and it shows. Brand new spanking offense, new parts and add a makeshift line that was bad even at full health now worse and that's what you see happen. Going against a premier defense too no less. I thought he'd be MUCH better than yesterday but nevertheless, he bombed from the get go and it was only going to get worse. He got rattled by that strip fumble and his throws were high and out of reach. I refuse to hold Darnold's fallacies year 1 against him. Jeremy Bates was atrocious and didn't want to be OC(It sure showed too, great pick Bowles), we had NOTHING besides maybe Robbie Anderson to throw to last year until Herndon finally got the chains removed(Wish he comes back) and he was put in from the get go unlike the other QBs who got to sit and watch and it showed in some elements. This year there's less excuses granted but he's still learning a new offense and honestly speaking, Adam Gase probably should go after year 1. I've said it for the Eagles game but now I will say it again, he is overmatched as a head coach. You wanna say he should be a QB coach, whatever but he is inept at making adjustments, if anything the Cowboys played better in the 2nd half and made what should have been a blowout into a near OT game. Using his rookie stats against him is lunacy. He's not as bad as he was yesterday. He lost his mechanics like how Mayfield did and he didn't trust his OLine to block for him and his WRs didn't run much routes if at all. Darnold by the end just threw the ball away for the sake of doing it.

So he has a TE or Bell stay back to catch the open guy, then what? The Wrs were being blanketed for the most part, what would he do? Run and tuck the ball in and take what he can? There should have been quick options low coverage, checkdown, screens to hit the blitz like most professional signal callers do. Gase has been doing this for a long time, the fact he could not adjust to this is pitiful. Mike McCagnan's inept drafts and inability to draft playmakers have ruined this team and it's why we're as bad as we are and had to spend like crazy for talents in the FA market. How he was allowed to run this last draft is ludicrous, he tossed a HIGH 3rd rounder in Polite out before the final cuts were even made.

Don’t feel sorry for me. We lost our franchise quarterback a week before the season started. Making it to the second round of the playoffs is a dream scenario. Hell, I still have money “invested” in Indy winning it all thanks to placing bets on Indy to win it pre-Luck retirement. Sure, I could make more if I bet on them after his retirement but what’s done is done. I’ll be rooting for them to win it all. Them, the Browns and the Jets.... -_-

Also; the Atlanta Falcons have traded Mohammed Sanu to the New England Patriots for a 2nd round pick.
I’ve always been a fan of Sanu considering he’s a Rutgers boy. This trade makes you wonder about the severity of Josh Gordon’s injury and is a smart move for the Patriots considering Edelman could break at any time. Plus they needed to change something up on their offense and Sanu out the slot will be great for TB12. The Patriots keep on winning.

The Denver Broncos have traded Emanuel Sanders to the 49ers for a 3rd and 4th rounder. Not sure I get it for SF. Sanders isn’t much of an upgrade from the random names they have at WR right now.

Saints are rumored to be in the market for a WR and Sanders would have a nice addition to our offense. I wouldn’t have wanted them to give up a 3rd and 4th for him since they already traded their 2nd so SF can have him.
