I have no issue with people choosing to wear a mask... But during the lockdown here I saw people driving around on their own wearing masks and that weirded me out a little.

Well US looking at a final wave this summer. Americans prepping massive vacation plans this summer with places booking up already. Many of these people will not be vaccinated, and some will be traveling with fake vaccination papers that are all the rage in the some circles. Should be interesting to see how this spreads as it will show holdout clusters to vaccines.

Hopefully the death toll starts rivaling the national debt clock.

Mrs. RT got her first poke yesterday and she's not feeling great today. Exhausted and nauseous. At least it's Sunday and she can lay around and watch movies.

I'm going in tomorrow afternoon after work. Got a big project this week so hopefully I don't have any side effects. I can deal with a sore arm or a headache but anything beyond that and I'll be a big sucky baby.

I guess that's one minor good thing coming out of this.  I too, will wear a mask during the winter months, even when the pandemic is over.  If anything, it's to also keep my face warm.

Same point to Gyro LC, but I think the main barrier to transmission has been the distancing.
I have no evidence but I would suspect most transmission is via touch, which masks make worse.
I think the best long term strategy is don't touch your face and use hand sanitiser often.

My state is the first state to hit 50% for full vaccination. Pays to be in a rich state I guess.


Both COVID and the Flu are mostly transmitted through the air. It is not very good as spreading via touch. A lot of other nasty things do travel via touch though, but these two are airborne viral conditions, which is why masks stop them so effectively.  We had plenty of studies that laid out models that real world data has confirmed about this and it is not really up for debate in mainstream science.

Holy poop I was sick as a dog last night. Got my shot Monday, was tired Monday night but otherwise fine, felt fine Tuesday, then at about 2pm WHAM. Fever, body aches, headache, sore throat, chills...all at once almost in an instant.

Got home, showered, ate some soup, slept...today I'm totally fine.

US not going to fight the WTO if they void COVID vaccine patents globally.

Yay! We're #1 in Canada. Alberta's numbers per capita are the highest in all of Canada and the highest they've ever been! They've made 'stricter measures' so now you can only have 10 people in a church and 5 people visiting outside, but you can still go to restaurants and stores. The logic in all this is...none.

I am currently trying to get 4 guys home from site who tested positive. I have 2 guys on site of a 9 person crew on one of my projects right now because the rest of them are quarantined due to one of them testing positive last week.

My 15% raise got reduced to 10%, because otherwise I was JUST over the tolerance for the reduced hours work workweek due to COVID and would have lost 10% of my wage leaving me with only 5% (which is better than nothing), so I remain under paid, but nonetheless I am happy I have a job and am getting a raise during all this uncertainty.

I get my shot tomorrow am. So yeah fuck COVID and fuck the hillbillies who run this Province.

With restrictions going down and believe that the US beat COVID seeing a nasty new wave in starting in some places. Maine is seeing a lot of younger people coming in ERs a lot seeker than either of the prior waves with average age at 45 and dropping weekly. Many had one shot of the vaccine as well, but skipped the second. Similar things being seen in the South and Midwest were restrictions were lifted. Not surprising anyone the states without mask mandates or following of the mandates are the hardest hit.

Hiding in my hole for 20 days since CT is one of the states now spiking with those who are refusing the vax getting hit extremely hard and I am still 20 days out on my second dose.

Got my first vaccine today on my birthday. Was expecting to feel like shit today but for the most part it feels like a just a bruise on my shoulder. So, so far so good. Haven't had a shot in awhile as my body fights the flu very well, so I was kinda not looking forward to the needle in my arm but as I was talking to the other nurse I looked down and it was already done! Can't wait to get this over with.

Most annoying this when I get a negative result yet I’m still sick and work expects me to come in, I still have a cold that will spread and result in other workers needing to get tested and have time off.

Also just learned a hard-r Trump supporter like my Mom who has called it a FAKE HOAX VIRUS still ended up getting her vaccine. If that don't convince your boy, I dunno what will.

It's pretty cheap to live here, lots of trains and we've got plenty of Amish, too. You'd probably feel right at home.

Ohio posters... there was a decent amount of them. UK posters did meet ups and sheeeeeeet. I always thought when raven and mistress were more active (and there might have been a few others) the Ohio PWers shoulda did a meet up with so many in close proximity. I was supposed to go see an roh show with our former pal djm, but flaked on him so maybe the meeting was doomed to fail.

So yeah 🤯 should move to Ohio. Meth capitol of the US, somewhere in us. Two theme parks and umm... gummies in case your stash runs out. I have had my nasal passages violated three times as well but better than being in ICU I figure.

Found out today I am allergic to the COVID moderna vaccine. Have a huge red ring around where I got the shot two weeks ago that is really warm to touch and itches. Was advised to get the next shot in the other arm to avoid problems. Not a harmful reaction but a freaking weird one as it shows up a week after you get the shot and in my case has been here for a week now spreading further and further out.

Can find info on this googling the "Moderna arm" or "covid arm."

CDC says two weeks post vax you no longer need to mask up at all. Mask mandates everywhere likely to fall for vaccinated people as now there is no reason to do it outside of antovaxers being assholes.

Yeah heard the recommend stated as "for those who are fully vaccinated" but how ya gonna police that? Star of David marking?
