There will be no pardon from Biden. That ship has long sailed. He literally laughed at the reporter that asked him directly about it.

Given Trump went after Biden's kid, cannot really blame him either.

Also democrats do not even support Joe pardoning Hunter, and many think he should be charged for his tax related crimes. Why would they support pardoning Trump if they do not support pardoning Hunter? Either pardon will hurt Joe politically.

Believed one of the first things Trump's lawyers will have to fight about is whether or not Trump will be forced to wear an ankle monitor. Given the serious nature of the charges, he is going to be assigned a probation officer. Normally with these charges people are jailed without parole.

DOJ expected to press for incarceration over Mar-A-Lago house arrest as well. And if he is incarcerated he would have to be isolated due to the threat of him leaking national secrets in prison, like most people with similar charges are. DOJ and the courts will have to sort out what incarcerating a former president would look like, given the secret service detail.

In a finding out story after cutting the budget for the post office, and demanding they turn a profit, GOP congressmen are demanding to know why rural area post office are consolidating leading to people losing their jobs, and why mail in red states is coming later and later.

Guess their voters that lost their jobs and now get their mail a week late are no longer on board for the changes that they were told would be best for them and started to complain. Not sure what they thought would happen. If they want a profitable post office you focus on cities and not rural areas were it is can be a 5 to 10 minute drive between houses.

Also in the document case, it may be brought up that Trump's misconduct led to the disappearance of both articles he specifically mentioned showing people he should not in recordings.  Neither record has been located.  So if Trump is believed to not have them, that means he led to national security information being left in semi-public places.

Confirmed Cannon is the judge that was assigned to the case. DOJ will try hard to move the case or replace her since it was made clear she does not understand the laws involved in this sort of case. And they do have a strong case to make this request given the special master she assigned. They likely will use the justification that a trial of a former US president should be held with a judge who routinely works with national security cases to best protect Trump and give the American people a decision that will not be overturned.

Love Bill Barr is the one attacking Trump the most over this saying he absolutely was in the wrong and will be convicted for it.  GOP are arguing with the AG for two republican presidents.  He was the one that saved Trump in the Mueller report by kneecapping Mueller by cutting out his ability to suggest charges, and then just not following up and charging Trump as Mueller wanted.  But now he is a liberal trying to take Trump down.

GOP circled back around to Hillary's emails claiming she did the same thing Trump did. Despite four years of investigations finding nothing they could convince a grand jury to indict her on.

Also saying that since Biden appointed Garland the DOJ cannot indict Trump. That also is not how any of this works. Trump was indicted by a Miami jury anyway not Garland. Garland is not involved in this outside of appointing Smith and authorizing him to charge as he sees fit.

They are also claiming Trump should be treated like Hillary or Hunter was, but Hillary also had a grand jury, but they failed to have any chargeable offenses to put before them.  FBI did confirm there was a grand jury opened for that investigation though.  Hunter almost certainly has one open as well if they are talking about charging him.

Only real reason not to charge Trump is because people believe he should be treated as above the law.  

In other news, this is likely MTG's last term in Congress as she lost MAGA voting for the debt ceiling increase. They are still considering her a traitor and not letting up at all. She is very open now to a primary challenge with the alt-right attacking her non-stop.

MAGA groups will bus people from around Florida to the courthouse tues for Trump's arraignment so they can fight for or go to war for Trump.

Likely nothing will happen. After the Jan 6th people were put into jail, people believe every call to arms is a FBI false flag operation. Kind of funny how people said we should not prosecute the jan 6th rioters, when that is literally what is stopping riots at all these other events.

I don't think you can use logic and reasoning with these idiots. But very likely nothing is going to happen, both with his supporters and Trump himself. This is simply what our country is nowadays.

Once again, being reported that most lawyers experienced in federal or document cases will not work with Trump due to his lawyers being attacked by him, criminally investigated, and reporting that they were not paid. Two of his legal team already quit. Other remembers were barred by his main lawyers from coming along. His team is down to three people and they are having trouble expanding it.

It is believed he wants to dismiss the case by claiming prosecutorial misconduct and his lawyers will argue this Tues at the first hearing.  Alina Habba who is not actually on this case said she is telling Trump to avoid taking any plea bargains offered and insist on going to full trial.  

Insane, 80 of likely GOP voters believe even if convicted and sent to prison Trump should be allowed to be president. Party of law and order.

GOP and military going at it again, as the Military wants to ramp up service means citizenship campaigns to allow immigrants to service for two years then become US citizens. GOP does not want foreign people to be able to join the military, and freak out that it will allow entire families to come over via chain migration policies.

Still seeing talking the DOJ will use the 11th Circuit's special master ruling to request a new judge, since the 11th circuit found Cannon acted improperly in that case, and suggested it was because she was biased towards the former president. If she fights it, the 11th Circuit who wrote that ruling will likely force her off the case due to prior improprieties.

This would also open the door to dragging the entire case to DC since Florida appointed a judge with bias on record to oversee the case.

Trump will make several argues to stall and dismiss the case.  Very likely the call to dismiss will go to a full hearing and not be bench rejected, which will trigger the appeal to remove her.

I'm all for the law applying equally to all people, if that's what's happened here, them great. If they've gone after Trump with near religious fervour... Like the DA did in New York, then that is dangerous for democracy.

Which DA? Braggs, Vance Jr or Morgenthau? All three were DA during part of the investigations over the last 40 years. His use of bankruptcy law put him on NYC radar for tax fraud when he still was a democrat as he would brag about being smart abusing the laws in ways that we later learned were illegal.  And he lost a handful of fraud lawsuits related to his businesses, which is why they were so focused on his taxes.  And in the end, they found he did lie on his taxes after investigating him for 40 years, and now people scream he should not be prosecuted because it would be political to treat him like a regularly person who is found guilty of a crime that be bragged about repeatedly on national TV.
