Maiden's woes sure makes those "rental receipts" a lot more appealing. And I don't care about what the wall colors are. Seriously that seems to be the big argument for homeownership: painting the walls and you have nothing to show for anything but rental receipts. Honestly I really like my complex. I like that I can just up and go with little fanfare if say I change jobs or what have you. I probably would only consider owning a home in the event of my parent's death and it gets passed down to me. Just seems like a lot of work and headaches. Plus I do those never-ending tasks 40 hours a week, last thing I want to do on my off-time is mow more lawns.

There's absolute pros and cons to each. At one point it was nice to be able to just call up when something went wrong and it didn't cost us any more than our rent. Our rent only went up twice in 11 years but that could change at any given time. The downside is that the last few times we asked for paint (we lived there 11 years and asked once) and new carpet on the stairs and they did nothing. There were some issues with some of the other renters in our complex (not personally just overall) and we started to put our own money into it for minor thigs that they should have dealt with by the property management company, so after hours of HGTV we were left wondering why aren't we paying into something to own so we can do what we like and eventually own. We do love our new home, the renovations are stunning, but are very disillusioned and frustrated because of the big $$$ things that were not caught on inspection or that were hidden by the seller. We can litigate but then we are looking at more time and lawyers fees for an inconclusive result, so best to just liquidate my retirement fund, sell my beloved statues and call it a lesson well learned. After all this they'll have to take me out of here in a pine box.

This isn't a pity party post: I think I should just leave for awhile. I just embarassed the shit out of myself on the USA Pol thread.
I'm on edge today with something that happened personally (also involving politics) and part of it is why I got so heated. It wasn't how I go about these things at all and it reflects poorly on my character.
I need to put the phone down and start going outside and focus on living. I am not going to solve anything by typing words on a screen.
Love ya, PW. Corbin Memes Away.

Such mad rizpekt for all the folks who've braved the parenthood path and lived to tell the tale.
Clichés aside, sleep deprivation is real and SUCKS. Gives me mad rizpekt for old school soldiers on combat patrols who had to operate in life and death situations with zero sleep.
Friends and family who've been there before says it does get better, just gotta grind through this first bit. But boy, what a grind so far. Still no idea how people return to work while there's still a newborn at home.

My hair is outta control. Normally I'd have it buzzed way before now. So much so that I would've been on a return cut. I'm long overdue. And yet if I slick my hair back I can see my hairline starting to creep in the corners so the bald gene is probably slowly hitting me. My brother started going bald pretty early. He blames the fact he has two kids (lol @ 🤯) but I think it was going way before then. Debating just buying a kit and shaving it myself. Conspiracy theory! Brother is tall and went bald early. Dad is shortish (he's Adam Cole height!) and kept his hair for most of his adult life, much like yours truly. His brother, my uncle, is quite tall and went bald early. I think we all know what I'm suggesting LMAO. Yeah I'm kind of afraid to cut it as I don't think it'll come back!

Shaved it all off because fuck my hair quitting on me. If it wants to start slacking, it can GTFO. I caution you though, @ness, as I can confirm once you cut it, it doesn't come back. It commits you to The Beginning of The End.

The Young Bucks are the worst thing to happen to mainstream wrestling since the last 20 years of Vince McMahon. The fact these little children consider themselves to be as great as the RnR, the Hardy's, the Midnight. Are they for fucking real. They have nothing that hundreds of indy wrestlers don't have. They jump around and sell nothing. It depresses me that wrestling fans like it. I am sick to death of sarcastic, pseudo-intellectual cunts on Reddit being incapable of having a logical discussion regarding coronavirus shielding vs. the economy. These people think they're smarter than the average person. They are thick as shit. They act as though the economy doesn't depend on people and that people don't depend on the economy. I hope they all get set on fire. I pretty much ignored everything in 2 pages of this thread after I read this post, but I had to follow up on it immediately.
Fuck The Bucks.
I am so glad that I am not the only one who feels this way, but I've been telling everyone this same thing.
I think they have above-average skills in the ring, but it doesn't matter because they just prance around like they don't give a shit and do spotty bullshit nonstop with absolutely zero regard for their moves even looking like they connected at all. It's all a show, but they don't care about the show. They just care about looking good. I know the arrogance is kind of part of their gimmick, but I legitimately feel they actually do just have an air of arrogant superiority and only care about stealing the spotlight with fancy shit that they think makes them better, when they actually suck at 80% of what it takes to put on a good match. "Best tag team in the world" my ass. Could they be? Probably, but they sure don't care enough to improve in any other areas since they think they are already the best.
Worse yet, they are so shitty that they have literally corrupted those around them. Cody has 100% transformed into a Buck-style wrestler, only even worse. He dropped from one of my favorites to my absolute most hated wrestler on the show. I literally think the show would be twice as good if he was not on it. He does the same five spotty moves every match...it's worse than John Cena because the moves don't even have any flair. It's just shitty Dustin scoop slam/uppercut, oz-cutter, beautiful disaster, and superkick over and over. Dustin's moves always sucked but they look way better still when Dustin does them. Did Cody even see how terrible his execution is? No, just using more moves is all that matters. Hell, even the beautiful disaster kick that used to look...beautiful...looks like total ass because he just phones it in to run to his next spotty move. And his Oz-Cutter looks like absolute garbage...because all that matters is hitting more fancy moves to seem dominating, who cares if they look good right? Ospreay grew up and realized he needed to try harder to win over the fans and he perfected his moves so they actually look fucking cool. Cody is apparently not humble enough now that he is already suddenly the king. He just goes for quantity over quality, like he's some kind of world wrestler just because he added 12 poorly executed moves to his repertoire. Then he hits his finisher twelve times in a row to win the match.
He pins the dominating Lance Archer by hitting his finisher twice and I'm still shocked that Archer didn't kick out because even Shawn fucking Spears kicked out of two in a row weeks prior. All Cody's moves are meaningless now, just like every move of the Bucks.
Superkicks aren't super when you hit 12 of them every five minutes. And they call themselves the lords of the superkick when they are the ones that have killed it! Superkick party is more like a superkick funeral.
Their stupid meltzer is not only a tough sell to begin with, but the opponent goes down before the jumping flipper-doodle brother even fucking touches him...very noticably...every time. Immediately kills the realism of every match. And it's their grand finisher! Even fucking Private Party don't have moves that look like that much ass.
They jump and fly around and, sure, it's impressive...but they put absolutely zero effort into pacing or working a good or enjoyable match. It's not exactly selling they get wrong, but they sure aren't great at that either. It really seems like they are not trying. I genuinely don't think they realize there's more to a match than hitting as many high-flying moves as possible. Are they blind? Do they not even know what working a match is? Fuck.

I was going to take this into getting older, but negativity is just as fine. HOLY HELL something just popped like a motherfucker in my foot. Not sure what it is, I can put weight on it and walk just fine with nothing, I'm grabbing and squeezing and poking and prodding, nothing...but a little bit of rotation the wrong way and something pops a pop that sends me into an all new spectrum of agony, I'm fine with it for now, but not sure how it's going to hit me when I'm sleeping and not in total control of my movements. Like, my life has been a steady stream of pain, I thought the arthritis in my left knee was like nothing else, but this made that feel like a minor ache. It's not emergency room bad yet, especially not with the state of things, hopefully it doesn't get any worse before I can get into a doctor, already trying for the next week or so about my hand thing, get an appointment Monday. Jesus fucking Christ though, this year just won't let up.

The amount of recyclable materials that don’t get recycled is immense. Less than 15% of plastic enters the recycling stream and only a fraction of that actually gets recycled. Plastic is an incredible material but its near-eternal durability is going to screw us eventually. I wonder how much it costs to start a small recycling facility.

The first few big dates I was without my daughter was the worst. It’s why I ended up hating Christmas. Are you on bad terms that you can’t do something together for him? My ex and I did separate birthdays and separate Christmases. I didn’t care about being in the same room with him but he hates me. I assume it’s a guilt thing cause I’m awesome.

It's too fresh for us to be together. For me to be there with her. With Shelter in Place and the Cali. wildfires, we can't go to a central location. It'd have to be in her home (which was mine until about 8 weeks ago), and I just can't.

Thanks Incy. The marriage shouldn’t (and won’t) be rehabilitated. We’re just not right at this point in our lives. But I do hope we hit a point we can co-parent together. One day. I know marriages break downs are totally shit, I have been close to sooo many of them with friends and sometimes there are things such as infidelity, violence and substance abuse that make it almost impossible. All I really will say is that nobody is really right for each other, the idea of "the one" is hokey Hollywood and Hallmark crap. Filling the heads of everybody with drivel. Like the way they tell people they can have amazing relationships, a great career and a family... Not possible for most people, everything takes sacrifice. The idea of what we call "love" is actually very post-modern. In the Greek language the word would be "Eros" which refers to the feeling of love. In reality (and history) love is about actions and decisions, we all decide to love someone regardless to how we feel. I have seen my friends get divorced or have partners divorce them based on not having that special feeling. So new relationships with special feelings... But fast forward a couple of months and the trash still needs to be put out and bills need to be paid. Not lecturing you in any way, my heart always breaks for people going through what you are now.
