At the moment I don't really know much.
I went and had to do a urine test, got some bloodwork done and had an x-ray to rule out kidney stones. The urine test and blood work were sent to a lab, so I have to wait to hear back. I was, however, given a prescription for antibiotics, to help with whatever infection I have, but right now it's again for the most part, just waiting to hear back from the lab.

Damn, we really are getting hosed. I won't go to the doctor unless I'm in a car accident and only if I'm unable to consent.

Praise be the canadian healthcare System. Only cost me $25, and that was for the doctor's note. This is such a stupid ask of employers. Your boss or company policy sucks. You wasted $25. At least you were going to doctor anyways. But let's drag sick people out of their homes, clog up the system and waste doctor's time for a sick note because your boss/company is an idiot and doesn't allow you to actually use sick time, ya know, to be sick.

I appreciate that All34LOL and I both advise retaliation, posted at the same time. Don’t start none, won’t be none. I totally thought of the Super soaker idea and then some, but afraid if I retaliate that's what they want and it'll just keep the war going. I just want to not have to worry about my blood pressure hitting Defcon 1 every time I go to the door and there's no one there and I see their punks asses running away. Lony if you are peeing blood make sure after you are done your course of antibiotics that you get an other urine test done to ensure it worked because when a bladder/kidney infection is to that point, sometimes one course is not always enough.

In my limited experience, I believe doctors never give long enough courses, a number of times I have finished the course, feel better then 2-3 days later it flares up again... Especially pneumonia.

I had my follow up appointment with my doctor after having very cavities explored in HD. They aren't worried about my bowels, but my reflux (which I have no pain with at this weight) is extreme. They grade it in A - D in severity and much like my man boob cup size, it is a D Doctor has read me the riot act... No food within 3hrs of bedtime, elevate the top of my bed when sleeping, and the worst one....
I have to get my weight below 100kg and keep it there... For whatever reason, my weight will happily sit at 122kg or any weight above that... But I cannot seem to get my weight to maintain at a low level without dieting constantly. This is going to be pretty grueling My wife is talking about lifestyle changes and healthy eating! HA!!! She knows me better than that, I am going to EXTREME diet this bitch of a body. I have done this before, maintained an 800 calorie per day diet. Last time I did it I got my weight from 132kg to 102kg, so hopefully I see results quickly... I am also going to do intermittent fasting.

The amount of weight that dude lost was scary. A lot in the magic circles thought he was hiding cancer.
Heads up on Penn though he is a radical atheist.

For the reflux you will likely needs meds that will control it pretty well. Also will have triggers that cause it to flare. For me the main trigger is green peppers. Any amount in a recipe, even in sauce, and I flare. I am on the extreme side for that one with my whole throat now being scar tissue since it was diagnosed late, and managed poorly. I now manage it myself with Indian prilosec.
Also instead of elevating the top of your bed, which will wreck it, get a wedge pillow. Does the same thing. I been using one for years.
IBD sucks. Crohn's is a form of it. Fiber helped me. Fiber One in the morning is good. Taste's like cardboard, but 10 grams of fiber is 10 grams of fiber. If it is Crohn's will know fast, as fiber generally sets it off. Help for the other ones though.
Also likely will need b12 in ya. These things drain it out.
And if not told, you should take reflux medication before other medications or the stomach acid can actually melt the other ones before they absorb reducing their effectiveness.

iNCY I'm sure you'll be able to do the weight less. Aren't you too busy and don't have time to eat? Or is that part of the problem? When you do eat, you need to eat quickly and it's poor choices in food? I've been doing intermittent fasting for years. It originally helped me lose weight along with a lower calorie diet and then turned into maintenance in order to keep my weight what I'm looking for. It's easy for me to do during the weekdays, being back in the office and just avoiding temptations. I do miss honey in my mornings tea though. I eat at noon, and then dinner at 530. That's it. There are the occasional cheat nights for special occasions or when I have a random beer.

Another fast way to burn weight is to replace lunch with a meal supplement. Most are also loaded with vits and shit so pretty healthy. I really distrust most methods of intermittent fasting as the body tends not to like variation, and feast / famine and do some weird shit, and shit we may not yet really know about. Calorie restriction however is tried and true. Guy I game with lost 350 pounds over two years with this. Then got 40 pounds of skin cut off end of last year. Went from 600+ to under 200. It is crazy. He did no exercise or anything, just tracked what he ate, learned how many calories were in things, and aimed to keep it under 1200.

Atheists don't scare me, I'll take a logical atheist over an ignorant Christian... Absolutely never afraid of having my ideas tested. I have tested negative to Crohn's and chronic ulcerative collitis, so the doc says I probably had a Diverticulitis attack even though there aren't that many pockets. With the reflux I'd already looked into the wedge pillow and he'd started me on a proton pump inhibitor two weeks ago. Similar with me and the scarring he said. iNCY I'm sure you'll be able to do the weight less. Aren't you too busy and don't have time to eat? Or is that part of the problem? There are the occasional cheat nights for special occasions or when I have a random beer. I don't know what it is... I think I have a pretty slow metabolism, as I don't eat a lot of food. My Dad works with me and he continually eats more and worse food than me but is 30kg lighter. Part of my problem is that I have the taste buds of a child. I will eat all my vegetables etc. but I find no enjoyment in them. My personality is pretty extreme, I find it easier to do insane things for shorter times than low dopamine lifestyle changes. When I lost the 20kg I lived on chicken, broccoli and yellow mustard and between 600-750 calories per day, with one pizza night per week. My schedule is a big part of the problem, when I was losing the weight I had about 9 months straight being in the office every day. If I break a habit... It is over. It's harder for me to make good choices with food when I am travelling or onsite... Which translates as I simply won't do it regardless of the reasons or consequences. Tell me, when you say intermittent fasting, what is your definition? I notice people fall into two definitions: 1. They only eat in a certain window each day. 2. Eating less or not at all for certain days of the week. Thanks for all your input

Good news about the scarring, is once it is scarred it no longer hurts to get reflex on it <.< If the proton pump inhibitor does not do its job may need to take two pills instead of one. Some docs realize this, some do not. Select food may give you acid regardless of whether you taken it or not too. Kind of a long game of figuring out exactly what triggers things.
For the wedge if it is annoying to sleep on get one with a lessor incline or a softer one. There are two types of wedge pillows sold too. One is mean to be soft to sleep on and one supportive for other activities. I would not advise sleeping on the sex wedge.
For the intestinal stuff, I found with a lot of people if they have insane levels of acid, they have issues down the line so to speak too. Which does make sense if you think about it. The whole system is not meant to deal with excessive acid. Watch for blood though, you start to see blood then you immediately get more tests as that is ulcer somewhere.

iNCY I was thinking about the challenges you would have with intermittent fasting travelling as much as you do, changing time zones, not knowing if you're coming or going, that would be a challenge. My intermittent fasting is an eat window of six hours between noon-6pm. Between 6pm -1159am only water or tea. Basically do my best to consume zero calories so my body will burn the sugar and fat reserves during the fasting period. I never skip days, I eat at a minimum lunch and dinner every day. And probably a sweet snack in the afternoon. I'd say two nights per month I don't intermittent fast. Have pizza and beer at night with friends. Make a pancake breakfast some Sunday morning. Count down the minutes until the brisket is off the smoker and I'm eating it at midnight. It helps to know that it's not all or everything for me. I've been slow to get back on the intermittent fasting train post surgery. Been mostly doing it for about a month. If you start a new thread, I'll participate and maybe we can share what works, what doesn't etc.

Post too culturally relevant for PW? Possibly, but there's probably one person out there interested in each topic.

It's nothing super bad, at least compared to what it could have been, apparently just borderline diabetic, which still sucks, but again not surprising considering it runs in the family. Just been looking into healthier/smarter eating habits, I've stopped drinking pop altogether, and honestly thought I'd miss that more over the last week and a half than I have, but it needed to be done.

He was pretty much fine the whole time then went down hill for a few hours. I'm very sorry to hear this. Our pets leave their pawprints on our heart for sure. Sending you a big hug. I did the same. No pop and making better eating choices. This getting older crap is for the birds. Glad you are ok. Really watch your circulation in your lower extremities. Any issues go right away to Dr.
