If you witnessed The Streak ending, it has to make your list. That's pretty much all there is to it.
In hindsight, it was pretty obvious that Brock was going to win that match. But it didn't make it any less shocking, especially how the match seemed to end abruptly. Undertaker ate like 3 F5's during the match, but it was paced out enough that the whole world expected him to kick out after that last one. Everyone was expecting a drawn-out kick-out fest like his past several Mania matches, but nope. That 3-count happened and the shock hit everyone. The crowd reactions are legendary, and I remember just sitting in my living room saying "holy shit" to myself over and over.

13. Brock Lesnar ends The Streak- This was the last moment in wrestling that truly got me. I thought the ref made a mistake and the collective gasp in the theater was huge. Still one of the more memorable viewing experiences seeing a theater full of people sit in stunned silence after so many raucous pops through the night. Fabulous booking and execution having one of the most cherished things in the business end in such a surprise way.

Stone Cold Steve Austin returns to help Team WWF during the invasion Raw, 16th July, 2001 I'm a massive Stone Cold mark, it's one of the few things iron maiden and I don't agree on. Stone Cold has returned more times than I care to mention, but this was done to perfection. Nobody was sure which way Austin was going to go, alliance or WWF. This was the last Raw before the Invasion PPV and Austin spent most of it sitting in a bar watching before leaving for the arena. Then he arrived and for a glorious few moments we had the old Attitude Stone Cold back. Stunners all round, it was beautiful. Like I said, I will never not mark when that glass shatters.

Nothing from the list I sent RT again. Been stuck on having 2 left for a while now. Brock ending The Streak made my big list though. Watched it at a sports bar. My story is much the same as RT and Shootist. Only with more belly aching since I stormed out and drove home within minutes of The Streak ending. #ItsStillRealToMe. Austin joining Team WWF was a cool moment as well. =================== The other day I was thinking about what was left and didn't come all that close to guessing all the remaining slots. That's cool. Usually I have a good idea of what's coming when we get down to the nitty gritty. This time I have no clue what about 3 of them are going to be.

I went to take a piss during this match, as I knew Taker was going to get the 3 count. Came back to seeing Lesnar leaning on the rope and everyone at my house in silence..I assumed someone was injured at first or Brock hit the SSP. Nope just missed the biggest moment in wrestling since I started watching. Cut I missed this countdown, was going to submit a list and forgot ðŸ˜.

2. The night Vince got the old Stone Cold to return. And he cleared out the Alliance.
I was never really a WCW guy. I didn't care about most of them so seeing Austin roll up in his truck beat the Alliance from outside to the ring was amazing.

I SHOULD have had Lesnar beating the Undertaker and breaking 'The Streak' on my list, but it just pisses me off so much I didn't. IT'S REAL TO ME DAMMIT!!!! I like Austin fine (probably more now than before), but Rogue is right when she says I never marked for him like others.

Drew McIntyre appears in the audience at NXT TakeOver: Orlando, April 1st, 2017 Oh man, I should have had Austin 3:16 on my list. I thought about it but eventually didn't include it as I went for moments that happened while I was actually able to watch WWF/E. I know how huge this was, it's iconic and the true birth of Stone Cold. I also thought about Jericho's debut (along with man of 1001 holds) but I'm kind of salty on Jericho right now so hence no Jericho moments for me. I only have one from this lot, and forgive me for waxing lyrical. 5. John Cena surprise return Royal Rumble, January 27th, 2008 2007 wasn't a highlight year for me, the only thing that I had to look forward to was a trip to what was to be my very first Wrestlemania, something that had been on my bucket list for the longest time but I was never able to even consider doing up to then. I was going with a friend I'd met online iron maiden, and two other girls who I met through PW and DOMS. I was so looking forward to the trip and I so badly wanted to see John Cena live. Then he got injured, and was to be out through WM24. I was so disappointed but still obviously looking forward to my trip. I remember telling my friends how disappointed I was that I wouldn't see Cena (it was a big deal to me). Fast forward to the Royal Rumble (which I think watched live, if not then I watched the next day). It was a good rumble, not great if I remember right. The Rumble is one of my favourite PPVs of the year, I love the 'unpredictability' of it - the surprise returns, the seeing superstars you'd almost forgotten about. Anyway, we come to No. 30 and that music hits, good god. It was one of the few times that they'd managed to keep a big return like this secret, nobody expected Cena back that quickly and it was amazing. I marked out so damn hard, it made me so happy. So this one was quite personal to me. Sorry for rambling.

I had to think long and hard about if Jericho's debut was going to remain my #1 with a bullet, or if Omega's title win was going to finally overthrow it.
Ultimately it came down to how I would look back on both moments. I still look back on Jericho's debut as an amazing moment in my wrestling viewing lifetime, but also a moment that changed wrestling forever, something Jericho seems to be good at doing.
I was a huge Jericho mark from around late 97 onward. Maybe early 98. I don't remember the exact moment, I just remember seeing him on WCW and immediately knowing that he was going to grow into something special. It's no secret that WCW didn't know what they had in him, and when he made the jump in 99 it felt like something had changed.
Jericho jumping to the WWF and having the debut that he did was the first huge blow to WCW in the Monday Night Wars. WCW was never the same after that happened, and it was clear from then on that the WWF was going to crush them eventually.
So to say that I marked when the Millennium Clock hit zero that night is an understatement. The guy I had been raving about for the past 18-ish months to anyone who would listen had just blown the wrestling world right open. And nothing would ever.......EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVERRRRR be the same again.

1. Mick Foley wins WWF Championship for the first time- Mick Foley was my generation's Daniel Bryan in that he was this likeable cult hero who had to scratch and claw for years just to get signed by WWF before eventually making it all the way to the top despite not fitting the mold of a traditional WWF superstar. This was his "Wrestlemania 30."
Nobody ever deserved it more than Mick because nobody ever worked harder than Mick. He left it all in the ring. For a few years Foley was my ideal WWF superstar, and I basically wanted all future top guys to earn it the way Mick had. Foley had spent over a decade taking the biggest bumps in the business. He came up with not one, not two, but three memorable characters. He was great on the mic. He could do comedic or serious with the best of 'em. He shed blood, sweat, and ears on multiple continents. He wrestled in bingo halls and big arenas. He headlined Halloween Havoc way back in '93 and tape collectors flocked to his Japanese Death Matches the way they would later collect classic Bryan Danielson indie matches. Mick's story was all about The Struggle.
Foley almost always came up short in big matches. He seemed destined to forever be a top of the bottom/bottom of the top sort of guy....The kind of guy you could count on to adequately main event a B PPV when necessary, but deep down you "knew" he was never going to actually win the Championship in any of those matches. Nor was he even likely to headline a Big 5 PPV.
That all changed after the legendary Undertaker Hell In A Cell match. Now the hardcore internet fans desperately wanted to see Mick win the big one. He was our hero....A shining example of a guy who did things "the right way." Getting screwed at Survivor Series '98 only got the millions (and millions) of Foley fans more fired up to finally see him win the big one.
Then it happened! Foley beat Rock with Austin's help. The neewwww WWF champion then celebrated with DX. It was great. Now I actually think WWF might have went about it in a more money making way, but then we would have lost the infamous Schiavone Incident which infuriated millions of righteous Foley/WWF fans. And that wouldn't have been cool.
1. Mick Foley wins WWF Championship for the first time 2. Sandman returns to ECW 3. Andre beats Hogan for the WWF Championship 4. Slaughter beats Warrior for the WWF Championship 5. Owen pins Austin at Canadian Stampede 6. Yokozuna squashes Hulkamania 7. 8. Quebecers win tag titles from the Steiners 9. Ludvig Borga ends Tatanka's undefeated streak 10. Hart Foundation beat Bulldogs for the WWF Tag Team Championship 11. HHH returns from injury- January 2002 12. Ric Flair wins the 1992 Royal Rumble 13. Mr. Backlund beats Bret for the WWF Championship 14. Ric Flair beats Vader for the WCW Championship 15. Honkytonk Man beats Steamboat for the IC Championship 16. Considered the Eddie/Benoit moment for my list but ultimately didn't make the cut.
21. Steve Austin refusing to submit to Bret Hart’s sharpshooter, Wrestlemania 13, March 27th, 1997
This is the one exception I made to my own rule of only picking moments that occurred when I was actually able to watch wrestling product. The Austin 3:16 promo unarguably was the birth of Stone Cold, but this match is one of my favourites of all time. Storytelling at it's absolute best with two masters of the game. This match was the real passing of the torch moment.

Haven't updated my list in a bit. Don't really have anything to add except for the latest post.
I take every opportunity to tell everyone that I was present at Wrestlemania X8 in Toronto and I don't think I will ever experience a crowd like that again. I put that one specific moment in my list because the roar was absolutely deafening, and if I had to pick one specific pop from that match, that was by far the loudest one. I was yelling my head off and I couldn't even hear my own voice.
This match got lots of votes for various moments so I lumped them all together because obviously. You can't really pick one specific moment from this match and there are very few matches like that in history.

Man I wish I made a list.
My #1 wrestling moment ever was Austin/Tyson. Probably the coolest thing ever. #2 would be Undertaker throwing Manking off of a cell and #3 would be Brock snapping The Undertakers streak.

Brock snapping the streak was such a surreal moment. One moment me and my mate are joking about how bad Taker is performing, the next it's just stunned silence. That victory gave Brock an aura and honestly it happened at the right time because The Undertaker really had nothing left beyond his matches with Brock later on.
I resisted voting for Mankind going through the cell because I didn't want to celebrate it, but it is one of the most striking visuals of that era and it really put Foley over the top. It's funny because that NAO dumpster bump was made to look trivial by comparison when it was treated like a major deal when it happened.
Savage-Elizabeth was my #5. It's one of those moments that might not resonate now, but this was two years in the making with Savage undergoing a character change and Elizabeth largely disappearing from television. She makes a special appearance on this one show and in an instant transforms one of the biggest heels in the company into one of the biggest babyfaces. It helps that it was coming off another really strong Warrior match who was bizarrely consistent at Wrestlemania around this time. For a guy who wasn't overly athletic or adept at grappling, he sure hit it out of the park on the big stage. Even his squash against Hercules was good for what it was. As far as Savage-Elizabeth it's a good example of what a moment can do for a match and how it can take it to another level.
There was that thread recently about being on the wrong side of history and Rock-Hogan was mine. Keep in mind, I only saw highlights of the match and the impressions I read wasn't anything special, so I was actually disappointed they turned Hogan babyface. I had seen the Red and Yellow revival in 1999 and it sucked so I thought it was another sign that the WWF was really going down the tubes. However there was something about having Hogan back in the WWF challenging The Rock at an event he basically created infront of his most loyal base. The crowd was fantastic and both guys did a brilliant job of giving them what they wanted, even though The Rock ultimately won the match. It was a befitting moment for a true icon in the business and such a great way to honour history.
It's why I consider X8 the true swansong of the Monday Night Wars since you get all these stars like Hogan, Flair, The Outsiders, DDP along with the Attitude Era style production and writing.

I had Daniel Bryan winning the title belt at Wrestlemania XXX but I wish it was him winning the belt at SummerSlam 2013. That was the moment with Bryan working a fantastic match with Cena only for WWE shenanigans to occur and for them to yank our chains just so we would be happy to see Batista put everyone in their place. It was Bryan's moment and despite every possible knock Bryan managed to get over and really helped carve out that niche for a lot of the talent we see today. Regardless Bryan finally got his moment and he got to be a hero, even if it was really for one day. Austin-Bret was of course in there and this was the match that really set the blueprint for every Austin match that followed. Austin was always a fantastic prospect, Kilgore illustrated that perfectly over four years ago, but he just hadn't found his groove yet. It wasn't until this match where it was a fight that Austin came up with the formula that would make him millions upon millions of money. Here was this bully who had been thoroughly defeated, but he refused to yield and give his opponent the satisfaction.

HBK superkicks Ric Flair to end his career, Wrestlemania 24, March 30th, 2008 23. 24. Eddie Guerrero gets Mr Kennedy disqualified, Smackdown, 11th November, 2005 25. Drew McIntyre appears in the audience at NXT TakeOver: Orlando, April 1st, 2017 1. CM Punk’s pipebomb on Raw, June 27th, 2011 For the final time, Phil Brooks is an ass. But I love CM Punk. Separating the wrestler from the man isn't always something I do easily, but I'm trying. I appreciate what Punk achieved in his WWE run, which was surely one of the best I've ever seen. A lot of it was down to this one promo. From the minute Punk walked out wearing that Stone Cold shirt, sat cross legged on the top of the ramp and delivered that masterpiece of a promo, I was absolutely riveted. This was the moment that catapulted him to the big leagues, he'd been heading that way - for a long long time he was the best thing WWE had. Nobody, but nobody could get heat like CM Punk. I'd been at shows where you could barely hear him over the boos. Was this a shoot? A work? A worked shoot? I think the latter is most likely, to be honest. But it's 7-8 or so minutes of some of the best promo work I've ever heard, from a master of the craft. The fact the pipebomb is still talked about today, 9 years after he did it, attests to how big this was. I bloody loved it.

I hate to be THAT person, but for some reason neither my desktop nor phone is allowing me to open the list thread anymore. Last I was able to open it was Brock breaking the streak. Would someone be so kind to post the results that I've missed in boring text format here for me please and thank you. Going off Rogue 's post above. 5. CM Punk Pipe Bomb June 27 2011. I probably should have had it at #3 but hindsight and all that. I echo Rogue 's sentiments 100%. I loved Punk. if he was on, I was watching. He took anything they gave him and made it gold. Very few have that gift. You can only polish a turd (prove yourself) so many times before frustration boils over into resentment. So he went into business for himself and delivered a promo that shocked everyone. Was it a work? A shoot? A mix of both? Who can say for sure, but it absolutely had the desired effect. It catapulted him to the next level. He vocalized what fans and other wrestlers had been thinking. Was he held back because he was an ass? Maybe, but we all know there have been as big or bigger assholes that got pushed to the moon. Frankly, I'd like to see Vince called out more. 'You can't say wrestler anymore' and Punk answered him by saying 'I'm the best WRESTLER in the world'. He called out the fans, he admitted that the WWE wheel would keep turning and he was just a spoke on it. He called out the bullying campaign which frankly I've always thought was hilarious because the WWE characters are bullies. Hell Vince himself is a bully. He took another turd (of a situation) and polished it into gold and love him or hate him, there is a reason they still chant his name.

Thank you X-zero. 6. King of the Ring Promo by SCSA Austin 3:16 June 1996 While I was never much of a SCSA fan, this was one hell of a promo and sparked a legendary catch phrase and legendary character back when King of the Ring meant something. 8. Macho Man and Elizabeth Reunite WMVII March 24, 1991 As I said previously, I LOVED Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth. This was one of those awesome moments that just gets you in the feels. Macho Man has just lost his match, Sheri is literally kicking him when he's down and....there's Elizabeth who takes care of Sheri and then takes care of Macho Man. Color me happy. 12. Benoit and Eddie win titles WMXX While one is legendary and the other infamous now; at the time this was a moment no one thought they would see. Two men who had worked hard their whole life and who were rewarded. Two friends able to share the moment together.

I hate to be THAT person, but for some reason neither my desktop nor phone is allowing me to open the list thread anymore. I haven't been able to access the list on my phone in ages. Works just fine on my laptop though. Nothing from the list I sent RT has popped up over the past few days. A bunch of those iconic moments did crack my big list of 100+ though. PW voted for a quality Top 2. No complaints here. Only voted for one of the two, but either one would be a deserving winner.

Do you guys use the mobile version or desktop version when browsing on your phone? It's strange you're having problems but maybe switching from one to the other will help? I dunno.
...
The final two moments should be pretty obvious, but which one finished #1? I'll post both tomorrow to wrap this up.

All good. Sorry to be a pain. You've done an amazing job. I was having an awesome time watching all the clips. Some I'd never seen before.

The key to the Pipebomb is that it wasn't a shoot for the sake of a shoot, it did an excellent job of promoting CM Punk and John Cena, which at the time was looking like an easy win for John before Punk went out there and told everyone what he was thinking. It felt like an honest promo too, he conceded that Cena was a good guy, he didn't cut him down, all he said was that he was better and the only reason he wasn't in John's position was because of the opportunity. Consider the legacy of the promo as well. Nobody used the expression 'Paul Heyman Guy' until the promo. The talk of brass rings and everything else really only started trending here.
Looking back when you hear those names they don't register like they did at the time, but hearing Heyman's name for the first time in 5 years was shocking. Hearing Punk refer to Brock, who was persona non grata in the WWE just made the promo feel that more genuine.
If the pay-off had been better this would have been a lock for my Top 10 moment. However, Punk coming back after only a couple of weeks took a lot of steam out of his character and while he still went on and had a good run it never lived up to what it should have been. If anything, it made the WWE lean into booking itself as the heel which became played out by 2014.

The list thread takes a very long time to load on my desktop. Even with all the spoiler tags, apparently all the videos are still loading in the background.

I finally got to view the list. My phone just gives up with all of the Youtube coding on the page. So I'm using my laptop. So glad to see John Cena making the top 10 moments of all time. That Royal Rumble return was amazing. He got the smarky New York crowd to pop like crazy for him. Definitely worthy of a top 10 finish. Also, this should seal the deal with John Cena being better in every possible way than Brock Lesnar. Dumb dumb couldn't even muster up a top 10 moment of all time and finished below him in the all-time greatest wrestlers. Sorry 🤯, it's science. If Trump doesn't believe in science then neither do I!
