On top of this, he was also one half of the first tag team champions, and uhh…his intro? This says more about SCU than I ever could.

I didn’t think that was right when I posted it but I saw someone say it on wreddit and nobody corrected them. I honestly both knew SCU were first and forgot/didn’t care enough to fact check at the same time.
Whatever. This is the WORST POST I HAVE EVER BEEN IN.

So part of the “Mox squashing Punk” angle only made sense if you considered it was a way to make Mox the first legitimate 2x champion…but in the world title promo from AEW’s official twitter they’re calling him the 3x AEW World champ…
It’s a small gripe but these inconsistencies is what kills it for the hardcore fans like us. Is the interim title official or a placeholder or what?

I noticed they called Jericho a 7x World Champion in his graphic. Presumably his World Championships from all companies.
Moxley is a 3x AEW World Champion. That's different. But he's only 2x, right?

They are counting on other title reigns to heighten the tournament's importance. Savvy move

Just looking at the Moxley graphic and it's just speaking to me.
"I know brah so much wasted time when I've basically been the guy (again) since Tanahashi. Fucking straight edge nerd."

The graphic is correct it says 3 time world champion (2 aew and 1 wwe). The person who did the tweet is the one that made a mistake and said 3 time aew world champion.

I'm confused.
So these "interim" reigns, are they... dare I say: NONSANCTIONED. Like we gots to have a world champ on tv, but technically Punk's reign was ongoing?
Or are they selectively acknowledging world titles outside the company?
This is that place.

It doesn’t count as an official reign and you’re basically the placeholder champ until you beat the actual champ when they return. Or you lose and it was like you were never champion. I think it’s dumb. Just have the champ relinquish the title and when they come back they get a title shot to try and win their title back.

Things AEW has done wrong:
1- Creative 2- Roster Acquisitions 3- Roster Management 4- Talent Welfare 5- Belt Introductions 6- Talked about WWE every week 7- Pissed off corporate sponsors 8- Let an AEW co-founder leave for WWE 9- Hired CM Punk 10- Purchased ROH instead of just the tape library. 11-Tony being the booker 11.Botched exploding ring 12.Obvious air bag finishes 13. Put Jericho over in matches he had no business winning.

What don't you like about the AEW creative process, Da Gr8t I Is ? Don't get me wrong Ed, in the beginning I really liked it. It was new, something fresh not the same ol same ol. With that being said, TK is doing so much, he's losing focus on talent that should be pushed more than just being on dark and less on pampering ex-WWE superstars as soon as they come in. Now that I'm thinking about it, whatever happened to rankings matter?

Top 10 Things Da Gr8t I Is Has Done Wrong 1. Weird ass username - Aye the song was on when I moved over to this new forum and picked it as my username. 2. Never been on Slice of 🤯 - Your right, I've never been on it. But I really do enjoy ℼ shows. He's doing an outstanding job over there and I recommend that everybody should check it out and support our brutha ℼ.
3. Weird ass username - Read 14. Probably dislikes Step Brothers like a wanker - Step Brothers is one of the greatest comedies ever. Maybe we should rent a boat and watch it with a few hoes.5. No proof of executing a textbook BOBCORE dropkick - By the grace of God, I hope there's no proof of me trying to execute the Bobcore dropkick. I was awful at it in wrestling school.6. Weird ass username - Read 17. ARMBAR - Armbar is coo, but i'm more of a neck crank and kneebar guy.8. Different @ than posted username - When the group switched over to this new forum, I was going to change my @ and username. Long story short, I decided to keep my @ and never switch my username back to Da Gr8t I Is. Tbh, I didn't think anybody cared.9. Not active in the Highlander thread - I didn't know I could be active on there. I thought there could only be one?
10. Spends too much time in Sports - I write the most in sports, but I spend most of my time in History of Wrestling and Pop Culture.

I really don't know why they don't bring their PPVs out on blu-ray.
They've got a very enthusiastic fanbase who'd definitely buy them, but they just stick to DVD. With no streaming service in sight, it seems a bit weird to just have their stuff out there in SD.
They even posted a Twitter poll in 2019 where BD won in a landslide:
What was the point in asking if they were totally going to ignore it?! PWG has been releasing shows on BD for years!

Most of my strangely specific indy knowledge is probably from about 2003-2006 but sometimes newer stuff slips in too! I don't know anything about Chikara though.

I think so many of AEW's event names (or match type) names are just bad. They're either inside jokes, outdated memes or a weird obsession with gambling.
(Obviously none of them are as bad as Great Balls of Fire, so that's something)
Double or Nothing. All Out. Buy-in. Casino battle royal. I know some of these have happened at Vegas, but the ongoing betting theme is just kinda weird to me.
Fyter Fest is a reference to Fyre Fest...from 2017. It's a cheap, dated reference. No one thinks that's still a good pun in 2022.
Blood & Guts is a reference to something Vince McMahon said. How obsessed does AEW have to be with WWE to name a whole match type after something their boss said? It's corny as hell.
Winter Is Coming sucks. Loads of tiny UK indies name their shows after lines from TV shows or movies or songs - it's the most lazy and uncreative thing.
Full Gear is a reference to old BTE stuff, but it's a cool name anyway! Stadium Stampede is a good one too. And New Year's Smash.

I never got the gambling theme with AEW either. It's just something I kinda passively accepted. I don't really dislike the names though. All Out and Double or Nothing are pretty cool names. Could do without all the Jokers and Casino Chips though.
Coming up with show names is really difficult, especially since most of the great ones have already been taken. It's like trying to come up with a metal band name in 2022. You're really scraping the barrel. I don't envy their task, and I think they've done a fair job at being both original and kinda cool.

Summarizing all potential points into just one: It's a real life MDickie game where the booker is Tony Montana meets Diary of A Wimpy Kid.

The new cover for the video game has 10 people on it. Ten! (It was only six before, but Punk is gone now and I guess he's worth five people) 10 people on the cover and they're all white, except Jade stuck in the back corner. I know there'll probably be a lot of people who really really don't care, but really - in this day and age, it's not a great look. Why not have Shida on there? The Acclaimed have been super over for months now - that would get a tag team on the cover too. Riho? Ricky Starks? I understand wanting to have a load of people on the cover, but it's looking like a white power convention!
