Strong leadership is something AEW lacks.

Seems are strong leaders within the factions. Which ultimately is the real problem, they are factional. And I seen this in several feds in the past, and it becomes a fucking disaster with factions getting purged. The most notable being Mike Burns guys being purged from CZW leading to Steen, Generic, Hero, Eddie, every CHIKARA guy and others all being pushed out by Zandig when he pushed Burns out and severed his SMV deal. Fed never did recover from this.
RoH had similar issues with guys as bookers changed but not this level.
CHIKARA as well with a ton of guys leaving at several points in groups.

The Takeshita hype died very quickly, didn't it?
It feels like he stopped being flavour of the month almost as quickly as Danhausen!

The Takeshita hype died very quickly, didn't it? It feels like he stopped being flavour of the month almost as quickly as Danhausen! Hasn't wrestled a singles match on Dynamite since the MJF match. They threw him into the ladder match but nobody noticed because KOMMANDER was wrestling and he's the best wrestler in 2023. However dollars to donuts Takeshita gets involved in the Elite/BCC storyline and everyone starts acting like he's the best thing since slice bread.
I'd go with Luigi Primo tbh. Danhausen has had impressive staying power considering nobody can really explain the appeal of his gimmick.

Is Kommander the best in the universe already? Vikingo's time on top didn't last long!
I forgot Luigi Primo even existed! Maybe he should have been VERY NICE AND VERY EVIL.

Maybe he should have got vacc'd, instead of getting cancelled by r/SC.

Still feuding with The Firm which has gone from a Hook + Jungle Boy/Firm feud to a Hardy Boyz/Firm feud (featuring Hook!).
They're obviously taking their time with him but it feels like he's been spinning his wheels for awhile now.

As if the words "new faction" aren't bad enough, they had to be in a sentence with MATT HARDY ðŸ˜

Hook has not joined Matt Hardy. Hook is just appearing every now and then because he hates The Firm for trying to take his title. Jeff Hardy returning to even the odds probably means Hook is done with that angle and will be on the back burner for a little bit, maybe having the odd match on Rampage.

I like Tony, but he needs a PR person to handle his social media accounts. He's often been his own worst enemy.

He’s losing his goddamn mind. He needs to step away before something terrible happens.
Be the bank account and throw your phone in the ocean, Tony. Time to grow up.

Yep, time to step away from social media and get a media manager. If he is raging because of WWE trying to get his talent during his mom's hospitalization last year this is way too personal for him. When you get to the fighting with trolls stage of being a CEO, you got real problems.

Tony is starting to look a pro wrestling version of Donald Trump on Twitter (or X, or Z, whatever it's called now). Just tweeting constantly, and arguing with trolls. It's a dumb situation to get into, because like the internet has always been, even if you "win", you still look retarded.😂
It'd definitely be a good idea to step away from social media for a bit, and if they're going to use it, just mention upcoming shows, to advertise the events.

As a casual observer that doesn’t have cable the bits and pieces posted on here AEW seems cool, sometimes I want to start watching maybe catch a big show but the constant presence of this owner all over everything is a major turnoff. The whole dynamic of this promotion is so interesting though, a smart mark with unlimited money running a wrestling promotion but he’s such a cheese ball dork and the effects on his ego and how he chooses to present himself to the public, all of this will make a great documentary decades from now.
It all puts it into perspective now. There is a deep psychological study to be explored about the effects of somebody controlling a wrestling fed. Look through history how many just couldn’t resist the urge to involve themselves in the show, try to get popular or over. Then the whole scenario with Vince convincing the public that he was just a lowly commentator like he actually worked for the fake commissioner and was treated like a lowly commentator whenever a heel would do commentary with him.

To give TK credit, he isn't involved in any storylines or has a significant on air role.
He does occasionally comes out, stamping nervously and forgetting to blink making announcements like an excited puppy ready to piss himself.
Social media captures everything, outside of his weird online presence, it captures every moment this dweeb does something dweeby. From the awkward hugs, to the awkward bits he does at the end of shows (he's living out his dream) to the awkward media scrums... well, he's awkward. Why he needs to be there rubbing off the talent at the media scrums, it beats me.
AEW can be cool at times. His best option would be to perhaps utilise someone who is universally liked and seen as somewhat cool, like Renee Paquette, not as an authority figure, but as a presence to make the announcements and to be the media darling.
And then completely hand his social media account over to his media team to manage.

Renee would be a good choice for a role like that. Even before joining WWE she was doing TV work on sports channels in Canada, and she has a natural presence for it.
She'd have handled this interview better than Tony did.

I feel like AEW has no clue what to what to do with Danhausen. Don't think they ever did. It was more like he is popular you should sign him. He makes them merch money but he probably isn't going to have 10-25 minute matches like everyone else.

Am I the only one who sees this?
The only strike Kingston does well is the spinning backfist, the rest have always looked like a bad Kobashi imitation.
I can totally understand getting behind Eddie as a persona or a promo. However as an in-ring talent and winner of a pure in-ring tournament? Not buying it.

I can’t stop seeing it. I had to sit through a whole G1 of this bullshit. Out of everyone in AEW, this is the guy that comes for the G1. But he still beat most of the competition because he’s a big, important American. He wrestled at least one match where this chop was his only move.
