Yeah, Wardlow murdering Sky is the best way to end that awesome ATT story that is a heatsink at this point. Lambert needs to go. He is not bringing the heat they want. I was listening to the latest episode of Foley Is Pod and I thought Mick had a really interesting take on heels. I'm paraphrasing but it was something to the effect that a heel shouldn't be judged by how much heat they bring a feud, but rather how much interest they bring. It's easy enough to get a pavlovian response, it's another thing altogether to really get the fans invested.
With Lambert, I feel like that act is ass backwards. Sky and Page are being used to justify Lambert's presence on television and he's over-shadowing both men.
I was quite critical of Mark Sterling early on, but to his credit when Jade became more confident he knew when to step back and do his part to let her shine. With Lambert his shtick really weighs down the rest of the group and it's not really conducive to the product.
To me, it just seems like Tony took on board that AEW lacked genuine heels, so he gave Lambert a spotlight but he hasn't quite pieced it together to be interesting. Can't fault the effort, but sometimes you also have to draw a line in the sand and sometimes it seems like Tony has issues with cutting the chord and will just wait for things to run their course. Either the talent comes to him or the contract runs out and he doesn't have to deal with them anymore.
He really does need to work on the I want to get a person before I know how I want to use them. And I have nothing for this person but I don't want to get rid of them. He needs a few more people in creative not him and person who job it is to release people.
Lambert was/is suppose to be how AEW fans who hate Cornette by word of mouth view Cornette so only the bad traits. Cornette does give free advise or tweaks on his show. And a lot of the things he comments on get changed. Since we are on the subject of Wardlow the powerbomb symphony wasn't his finisher until recently. He was using the art of war. Cornette trash that move and said he should pin after those powerbombs and the next week no more art of war. Tony Khan apparently even tracks how many episodes he likes.

I wouldn't mind an ATT civil war. Sky is more of a good guy. Page is a shit-talking heel.

AUBREY EDWARDS ACCUSED OF FILING MASS DMCA TAKEDOWN NOTICES FOR AEW UNDER FAKE NAME Buck Starsky put out a series of tweets accusing Aubrey Edwards of filing a mass DMCA takedown under a fake alias. Starsky revealed in the first tweet that he made a switch from being an in-ring presence to working in the information security office. While including several pieces of documentation as evidence, he told his brave story, one that many in the pro wrestling business would be too afraid to tell. This is the toughest post I’ve made, but sometimes silent weapons for quiet wars take their toll. I’m including some heavyweight accounts here for a signal boost, because I can’t be heard on my own. As some people know, I went from a career in the ring to working in the office on information security, with a focus on digital media rights. I know Jeff Jones. We’ve talked a lot about copyright claims, and I sent this to him when @aewbotches was hit on his last account. Jeff never replied, so I looked around the web a little. On copyright.gov, you can find active and terminated DMCA agents for any number of companies. At 09:15 on 05 July 22, AEW had no agents listed. After my email, Don Stevens was suddenly registered. Furthermore, after this email was sent, I received a threatening email. For my own fear, the ID is staying redacted. Whenever you want to know what kind of office AEW runs, this is your reference. Talk badly, they might sue you. This is the reality of how AEW is. Starsky sent an email to Jeff Jones, formally announcing the accusation that Aubrey Edwards is behind these DMCA takedowns. Furthermore, she’s also operating under the fake alias of DMCA agent “Donald Stevens.” He also asked in the email if AEW doesn’t operate with an internal DPO team. He questioned why the company isn’t using software such as ContentID The accusation doesn’t end there, as Starsky revealed in another tweet that after his email, Donald Stevens was registered as a DMCA agent on copyright.gov, which wasn’t the case before. He didn’t receive a reply to that email as well. Starsky then received a threatening email after reaching out to AEW. He blocked out the email ID for his own safety, but revealed what it said on Twitter. He was accused of making a false claim, to which he was threatened with legal action from AEW. Now that the accusation is out in the open, Edwards might have to face some pressure from AEW fans. The allegation does resonate with the rising number of DMCA takedowns against Twitter users. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more updates on this developing situation. www.google.com/amp/s/www.ringsidenews.com/2022/07/17/aubrey-edwards-accused-of-filing-mass-dmca-takedown-notices-for-aew-under-fake-name/

To save everyone else the effort of Googling:
In other words, if you are a content creator and you think a website is stealing your shit, you can file for a DMCA takedown.
Although to be honest, reading the article, I'm still pretty confused as to what's going on.

I mean I don't necessarily care one way or the other, but if you have to be the owner of the content, wouldn't anything AEW related be owned by Tony Khan, not Aubrey Edwards so would she even be able to file a DMCA takedown???

" Tony Khan is charismatic in interviews, and he’s also incredibly meme-worthy. It turns out that Tony Khan is also getting a bit of a reputation for being unprofessional.
Tony Khan’s behavior backstage in AEW has become an issue. We were told that he goes overboard with how he talks to the commentary team on their headsets on a regular basis as well.
A source with direct knowledge of the situation told us that, “in the past month, Tony Khan has become impossible for anyone to deal with. It’s not just the communication issues with talent, it’s also how he acts on headsets.” There are also a few comparisons to Vince McMahon as well, but we’re told that Tony Khan is worse.
“People who have worked in WWE say he’s much worse on headsets than Vince ever was, and his level of unprofessionalism rivals what it used to be like when Kevin Dunn would start yelling at people and mocking them on headsets.”
We were also told that Tony Khan was really going off during the ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on July 23rd. At this point, Tony Khan’s behavior is becoming a huge issue with staff in the company. We’ll have to see if he is able to correct some of those issues. "

Ringside News is hella anti-AEW with their reporting and consistently blow things out of proportion. Until someone with a little credibility reports on this I’m not gonna believe it.
Also Miro knows how to play the game. He knows how much Tony pays attention to social media. He’s trying to get attention. Pretty sure the guy who just signed an extension a few months ago is perfectly happy.

Nothing physical but what Gresham did for example.

I have no sympathy for Miro he burned his bridge and resigned with AEW. This is why you don't take potshots at your former employer. Again business 101. Almas did so too but he has an out with Charlotte, Miro's wife has also been anti-WWE since leaving so it's pure toxic to bring either in. Brian Cage, Sonny Kiss I do feel bad for though, both also want out with the way they are being used or lack there of. Problem is WWE does not seem interested in either. Maybe Cody will fight for Kiss though given they are pretty tight.

Or Ringside News is just making shit up, which is usually the case when one person reports something and no one else can confirm the story. Or there is a widespread conspiracy where AEW is paying off every other major wrestling news source to bury stories except Ringside News. Occum's razor says Ringside News is full of shit though. /// And Xero's source for AEW drama is Ringside News...

If anything Salcedo and Alvarez are pro-WWE with a lot of their stuff. Ringside News is trash. It’s been banned from wreddit for almost a year. They just make shit up. And didn’t their main twitter account have a crazy meltdown recently? If this turns out to be true fine, and I can kinda see it to an extent, but until it’s confirmed by a reputable source then it isn’t worth paying attention to.

Eric Bischoff made 1 appearance for AEW and began to just call it fair and has been blackballed from ever appearing for AEW again, he's the example of what these beat writers cannot do for their companies.

The scrums are still part of the show. Not sure why people assume they are objective or keyfabe is lifted for them.
Still also does not address the issue that Ringside News reports on things for AEW that no one else confirms, and sometimes talent outright denies.
AEW does have a serious problem now with HHH at the helm of WWE basically, so these BS stories are really not needed. People who were assumed locked into AEW, now HHH wants back. AEW can make national stars, but WWE can make international ones. There is little Tony may be able to offer now that WWE cannot beat outside of doing bloody matches.

And the divide between the two companies widens, Raw hit a 2 year high last week with 2.3 million, and a 0.6 in the Key Demo. Dynamite, did less than 940,000 and 0.3 in the Key Demo.
I know we're not allowed to talk KPIs and measurable data because it hurts feelings, but maybe.. and just maybe, some of these ' problems with AEW ' aren't baseless, because even " the demo " has been long lost to WWE.

No a dip in ratings is fair game. It’s definitely an issue especially with the Discovery/Warner craziness going on. I don’t think AEW is in any danger of that merger affecting the company but with the insane decisions they’ve made in the past couple weeks who the fuck knows what will happen. My only beef with ratings was you posting them on a weekly basis when nobody gave a shit anymore and you were just like “see? WWE has more viewers.” Like we know, dude.
