Does it really matter? Draft the second best player. There's no guarantee Lawrence will be good even if it is highly likely. In the last 20+ years the only #1 pick to win the Superbowl for the team that drafted them is Eli. Drafting well in a general sense is far more important that landing the number one pick, even if Lawrence ends up being the messiah.

I agree with you, i want to trade down with this pick if Zach Wilson or Justin Fields balls the heck out. Lawrence is huge in the regard that a HC will be tempted more to coach Jags over Jets. If your told it's Trevor Lawrence vs Sam Darnold or a 2nd rate QB, a lot of coaches will go with the former.

Does suck to not get to pick top of the draft each round though, at least if Jets and Jags tied they rotate every other round.

He's not wrong. There is a viable argument to be made that the Texans have the worst defense in the league. To go 4-11 with Deshaun Watson at quarterback really requires a level of incompetence that is difficult to fathom. Whoever plays quarterback against the Texans basically gets to look like Dan Marino for a couple hours. It's literally like that. Today, Brandon Allen. The run defense is even worse.

We have a mediocre offensive line still despite paying Tunsil. Money tied up in shit linebackers (who does this?!), no interior defensive line, no pass rush from the blindside. The secondary is a who's who of guys that were good prospects years ago but never delivered - Gareon Conley, Vernon Hargreaves, Philip Gaines. The Texans have this fetish for rehabilitating failed prospects. It's never worked.

Normally the off season is painfully slow and I can't wait for the season to start. This year I'm really looking forward to forgetting about the Texans for a few months.

Giants are 5-10, is it worth it to compete vs Dallas next week? Isn't that like a top 7 pick? Do you value picking in the top 10 or getting the playoff game vs the Bucs?

Last week his OLine let him down, didn't see today's game(Heard Jamal Adams played like a mad man). Goff is so immobile, he can't bail out poor O-Line play. I didn't think he had much of a chance often at times when I saw him last week. He needs everything good in front of him to work. I think that Whitworth injury took the sails off, seemed like the rock of that O-Line. Crazy how they smashed the Pats too couple of Thursdays ago and have put forth two duds after. I assume the loss of Cam Akers hurt too.
