I mean I don’t really think there is a wrong answer , both are great quarterbacks and presumably the #1 seeds in each of their conference.
I want to see one for Rodgers because it’s a nice fuck you to the stupid Love pick and a nice reaction year to the washed up talk. And he’s dealt with injuries too with his #1 receiver missing games , #2 in Lazard , his all pro left tackle and Aaron Jones and/or Jamal Williams. It’s not as if the Packers have been at full strength all year for what was already considered a “poor” supporting cast.
Really they just need to face each other in the Super Bowl. That’s the only fair way for this season to end. The Packers need to keep up the pace their setting on defense though.

And right on cue they just dropped the new MVP odds.
Rodgers: -160 Mahomes: +140
So Rodgers is the new favorite. I figured it would be even money but Rodgers *apparently* has the edge now.

Holy shit! Washington just waived Haskins.
I mean I don’t blame them , he seems like a real piece of work and needs a wake up call but wasn’t expecting it to happen now.
Good for them.

I'd would rather have the draft pick. This team is not going to make any in the playoffs whatsoever, so there is no point to them winning the division.

I get both sides of it , just thought it was an interesting dilemma. The #3 pick is a rich prize though it needs a lot of stuff to fall perfectly. At which pick is the playoffs more important? 8 , 9 , 10?

Ron Rivera doesn't mess around, he may get a 2nd look but he really messed up. Gettleman did his homework it seems on the QBs, I remember the flack the Giants got on skipping him.

I remember that too and I was saying that Haskins was going to be the next EJ Manuel. I’m proud of myself for predicting that. I remember all the talking head clowns shitting on Gettlemen for passing up on Haskins and even trying to make it about race.

Yeah sucks, Ohio St has some questions on QB production as a whole, same with USC. Not fair to Justin Fields but the Qbs from Pryor to Cardale Jones to Troy Smith just haven't got it done.
Haskins best hope is if Urban Meyer gets an NFL coaching gig because he'd give him a 2nd chance. Other than that, he will find training camp gigs here or there but with (soon to be) 3 preseason games, he won't get as golden of an opportunity than the one he got with Washington. He was gift wrapped their job, even with their playoffs on the line and he completely messed up on and off the field. When a QUARANTINE QB has to come in for you, you know you messed up.

My whole thing was why did people think Haskins was so great? He didn’t even play a lot in college and wasn’t this super athlete either. It just never made sense to me and him bombing on and off the field does not surprise me.

Haskins wasn’t a terrible prospect and showed the ability but his character and passion is non existent.

I think he took all the hype his teammate Scary Terry should have got, seems like the latter made the former shine. I think it's telling McLaurin who was his teammate for like 4 seasons didn't stick his neck out there here. He kinda knew he has had so many chances.

Hitman Hart Ex Deacons signal caller John Wolford starting for the Rams in a do or die game vs the Cardinals. Ex Jet preseason QB and AAF standout. Can't wait to see how McVay rolls with him. Crazy if the Rams drop that game and the Bears beat the Packers, LA is out. Jets may have cost them. :laughy:

I really wanted Cam to work out with the Patriots but he has been a terribly hard watch since his shoulder injury. Every time he throws it looks like he's trying to heave a shotput.
Bills on the other hand continue to operate like a well oiled machine on offence. They've really felt like a Super Bowl team the last few weeks, it's really just a question of whether they can keep it rolling for the next month.

If Bills D can cause a turnover, maybe I can crack over 220 points scored.

I'm almost glad the 2 seed doesn't get a bye this year because I don't want them to lose this momentum. They look unbeatable right now. Keep going baybeeeeeee Watching them murder the Patriots on a Monday night is just....late Christmas presents are the best.

Think that is the last you see of Josh Allen until the playoffs. Either way, what a season.
Matt Barkley will have the honor of trying to eliminate Miami from the playoffs. Lets make it happen.

They might leave it up to the football gods since crowds aren't really a factor this year.

Still plenty of practical reasons to want to play at home and not travel to KC for round 2.

You don’t think the Bills/Steelers want round two at home? I think they rested guys vs Jets in Week 17 in preparation for Houston wildcard weekend last year, so I assume McDermott opts to do a similar philosophy. I think with no BYE and a lack of true homefield advantage due to COVID, I think resting the likes of Milano, their OLine, Diggs etc. matter. Might give Beasley and Allen one drive to get Cole his 1000 yard season but after that, that's about it. They still get a home game round 1 and can in round 2 as well.

They would be the 3 seed with TEN losing who can't use their tiebreaker win to jump them. They get the 2 seed round 2 OR if PIT loses round 1 the nearest team, they would not see KC until AFC Title game. Matter if they want to travel to PIT round 2 or stay home but again the homefield advantage is nonexistant.

Yeah I guess you’re right they’ll avoid KC either way, I’d still want to stay home but that does alleviate some of my concerns.

Like I said, I doubt Allen sits. Especially because he's figured out his accuracy problems and can throw instead of run and put himself in danger.
But with home field not really being a factor this year, McDermott might think about it. Probably not though. Try to go up early and give Barkley the 2nd half.
