The Rangers dumpster fire continues with Quinn. I thought he was supposed to be a better coach with kids than AV. I guess not. Too bad AV was fired for this guy what a shame AV should have never left. The rumors of Tortorella returning to the Rangers will increase. Don't forget about the new kids on the block in Seattle. You know they'll want a big name coach to lead them when they start play.

Seattle's front office seems quite progressive...for a hockey franchise anyway. I would be shocked if they hired Torts. Seems to be exactly what they don't want in a coach.

I don't really think there's anyone upset about Quinn being fired - the issue seems to be that there is no one that you can clearly point to and say that they will clearly be any better than he has. Torts is obviously been linked heavily because he apparently has a good relationship with Dolan, but I am pretty concerned about what happened with him and Patrik Laine this season. Gerard Gallant has been the main name on most Rangers fans lips throughout the season, and he's apparently already being interviewed. The main criticism of him seems to be his old-school tendencies being anti-analytics, but he's a grit guy which should please Zappy and apparently Dolan(?). His track record is decent but I would be slightly concerned about the fact that he's been fired within three seasons in each of his three NHL jobs - and the Rangers should really be looking for the guy that is going to take them to the Stanley Cup in the next five years window.

Not necessarily want a coach who has grit. I was not happy when AV left, and now it is confirmed that he left for no reason. I would like the players to have each other's back out there. To be fair to Quinn there was no one on the team after the Rangers made those trades to have any answer to the Caps. My problem with Quinn was not about grit. First, zero professional experience. He was only brought in like Aaron Boone to be a puppet. He botched Laffy for the majority of the season. A guy who is a first liner his entire career does not have any growth playing 10 minutes a game on a checking line. Quinn finally moved Laf to the top 6 and guess what Laffys game improved big time. His 2 on 1 with Kakko was a beauty. The PP was trash. I was saying forever to get some puck movement and cross ice one timers otherwise it is way too easy for the PK and goaltender. They finally figured that one out too. At times the players just did not seem interested. It is one thing to be out played for a better team it is another to just not care.

If Winnipeg doesn't do well in the playoffs they'll for sure fire Paul Maurice. If that happens, the Rangers should take a serious look at him. He's a good coach, just doesn't work well in Winnipeg anymore. He needs a change of scenery.

Oh god yes RT. Fire Maurice please. His systems are outdated and certainly don't work for the current roster. I also love watching loser 35+ old guys on one year deals playing for the Jets instead of playing our young talent and getting them some experience. Shoot him into space. Anywhere but here. Take home Zappy he's all yours.

I just looked at the DraftKings bets for Stanley Cup winner and I’m pretty shocked to see Colorado as the favorites. Here are the Top 5:
1- Colorado +375 T2- Toronto +600 T2- Vegas +600 4- Carolina +750 5- Tampa Bay +800
I thought Boston (+1300) was the way to go but I think I might drop some cash on Toronto finally wining it all. Especially don’t want to put money on a team down 1-0 already.
