Rock did a Rock concert before Backlash (when he was gonna face Goldberg) and Gillberg was part of the segment. Honestly I'm surprised it even happened as Goldberg doesn't seem like a guy who can laugh about anything.

I was just joking. Spoil away - it’s a 30 year old show and I know most of the beats.

So just got into Warriors first reaction to the Shango curse. Classic stuff.

Sidenote - Warrior and Brian Knobbs had a match before that and it shockingly wasn’t terrible. Good heel work and early beatdown of Warrior and he sold well enough and the crowd was electric. Was a fun time , though it’s weird seeing UW looking that small.

I never thought much of him. I liked SOME parts of the IRS match with Razor at RR 1994 but, I was mostly bored watching him on offense.

Nailz might be the worst big man baddie of all time. He doesn't even look scary - he looks like the guy at Goodyear who changes my tires. Not to say they can't be strong but there is another level you have to get to if you're going to be a 1992 big badass and Nailz whole aesthetic , especially his hairline was just a no go for me. He should have probably just shaved it from the start. Also he sounds like he ate three gallons of peanut butter before cutting a promo.

High Energy might be the worst tag team of all time. They cut some of the lamest promo's of all time. They should have been heels.

These jobbers still blow my mind. How did they even get into wrestling? Some of them should be embarrassed to wear singlets on TV and wrestle in matches.

Papa Shango is a ton of fun , silly but fun.

Big Bossman as much as I adored him growing up and admit he was over and important had to have been in some brutal shape. He was clearly blown up after his last to minute squash. Lordy.

Yeah I know he allegedly assaulted McMahon over money, also that he accused Vince of sexually assaulting him.

You couldn’t be more off on Crush. He was underwhelming in every thing but his size. But how could you call him the worst?

Papa Shango was, just as you described him. What a huge letdown. He could have been the #2 heel in a way that he didn’t need the title. Which is where I thought the Ultimate Warrior story was going. The possibilities were endless. Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Undertaker.. all could have had amazing. I’d put his run in top 10 most disappointing for WWF.

High Energy weren’t the worst tag team in history. I will agree that their promos were terrible though. Where they shined was always going to be in the ring. I saw a 15 second promo from them in the middle of a match once and that was and should have been their bread and butter. It got the gimmick too. Fast. Energetic. No real direction. I think you’re on to something with the heel turn though. Imagine them having that energy and being delusional that the fans loved them. They do heel tactics, but pretend to be good. It could have even been a slow turn. After months of always losing they accidentally “cheat” to win but then they decide to just stick with it since it worked. Plus.. HEEL OWEN!!! Imagine if (off camera) they killed Frankie and made a Blue Blazer like cape out of his feathers. They don’t ever mention it. They just wear it. Maybe an off hand comment from Gorilla “those feathers look familiar” and the Brain a week later “hey where’s that stupid bird anyways?”

Crush being the worst obviously needs context - in theory I could be the worst wrestler ever because I've never actually tried it. For someone who they tried to give a push multiple times - tried a slew of gimmicks and at least at this time was treated as a pretty big deal despite never really doing anything - he might be the worst ever. Demolition Crush sucked. Crush sucked in a junkyard or with baseball then came the worst of the bunch with Kona Crush where he attempted that brutal and borderline offensive accent. All awful. And obviously he was nothing in the ring as well. 

High Energy is weird , they could obviously work in the ring but everything else about that was cringe. Their promo's where KBW would sing at the end in an annoying as voice and generally just the content of the promo's. It's like when New Day debuted and they were so over the top good they became heels - or whatever direction that worked. High Energy should have been that because they were awful as faces , even for that era.

WCW Saturday Night. But you won’t find the camp stuff you’re seeing on Superstars. It was like 90% wrestling during this time I'm pretty sure.

I think the Crush/Randy Savage feud was a lot of fun UT, I'm not saying Crush is an amazing superstar by any means, but if you think Crush is garbage, watching this feud might soften your stance to a degree.

I’ve seen the blowoff match at WMX and it was pretty bad.

WWECock don’t have Power Hour or Worldwide so guess I’ll check out some WCW Saturday Night.
