Wrestling T-Shirt Watch: Saw a very normal looking guy around my age wearing an orange Macho Man shirt yesterday at the grocery store. 

Had some thoughts on Jeff and how with guys like Taker and HHH hanging it up, he's one of the oldest active guys spanning across numerous generations of worker. Sting and Flair the last two greats still standing. Made me think of 09 where he was just firing on all cylinders, he's clearly being pushed up the card. And then he leaves and that's that. I was really feeling it with Jeff. Okay do this b team thing with Punk, but I wanted Jeff to be that dude. Even when they returned to the E I was all for a main event Jeff run boyee. It's weird with his it factor, never made sense to me but SWANTOOOOOOOOOOOON.

Always making headlines good or bad. Fans still love them despite cruicifyuing uso 2 for their same DUIs. Drugged in a match. This.

Jeff just feels like that last true pro wrestler man. Just a weirdness to him that makes him larger than life. Feel like if they were ever able to channel what makes Jeff, Jeff into something he woulda been a mega star. I dunno I just feel like Jeff gets overlooked for a lot of things. On "the list" a lot lower than he should. He's not the goat but in a down period sorta way he was.

A PW watch-along would be kind of cool, especially with older wrestling PPV's (could post the threads in HOW).

Actually, I think we did something similar on the old PW.

The big problem, as we all know, is that it completely exposes why the Rumble is an abysmal way, in kayfabe, of determining your World Champion challenger for the biggest show of the year.

If they had done this a few years into the Rumble winner goes to Mania concept, would they have killed the gimmick? I don't think so, but it is a possibility.

Basically how they booked the majority of mitb holders. Just a scrub who was lucky to even be employed.

Ya know the "set up" for the finisher? Orton does that ... [redacted]est little roll on the mat... Rock does that weird crouching for the RB... etc. Another one is setting up for the superkick signaling for them to turn around. Usually they block it or duck. Why don't you just kick them in the back of the head? At worst it doesn't knock them down completely and them bam fameasser rocker dropper. I'm not even a wrestler and this is sound logic.

It’s as hard as they make it out to be, even rolling out of the ring on it can be uncomfortable to stuff taking power bombs and suplexes on to it.

Kneepads. Their function seems obvious. You fall on your knees, you don't get crippled by the pain of landing almost directly on bone.

So what do wrestlers without kneepads do? Do they just never bump on their knees somehow? Is that easy to avoid? Or is landing on your knees not as bad as I think it is?

Most wrestling schools when you start don’t allow you to train without kneepads and for good reason

this was my knee from when I forgot to bring kneepads once..and it was hardly a gruelling session either:



That being said it’s not like the kneepads are like skating kneepads or anything so they only absorbs so much impact. As you’ve no doubt seen the amount of wrestlers with knee issues over the years is seemingly endless so worth wearing for some level of protection.

As for wrestlers without kneepads I guess they try not to take front bumps as much but anything from a drop toe hold to a pedigree you’re going to have your knees hitting the mat in one way or the other.

Even though he wrestled from THE STREETS Cena still wore kneepads. He knew the deal.

His tiger driver always felt awkward. Seemed like he sat down too quick vs. his opponent and they landed on his feet/ankles.

Whenever I see wrestlers in bare feet it especially makes me cringe when they attempt to kick someone. I just picture guys bending and ripping toenails off right and left.

Bill has a weird relationship with black people. Most times, Watts comes across as a guy that can't be racist because he has black friends & has pushed black wrestlers.
