Then has been very vocal that transwomen should not be able allow to do MMA fights against women.  Something that many feel is kind of fucked up as weight classes balance a lot of the advantages.  Particularly fighting at like 135.  A lot of it revolved around Fallon Fox who had her career basically ended for being advantaged.  Ronda would likely easily beat her, as would most of the top UFC girls.  Fox's thing was she hit hard.  Which other men and women in a combat sport also do.  And compare Fox to say Brock, and her advantages are not really that big compared to the man with bear paws for hands that is a genetic freak.

I think Rousey walked the Sandy Hook comments back and she is lucky she didn't go farther in because she'd have lost a lot of her earnings ala Alex Jones. The Transwomen thing is a slippery rope and I get where people like her come from where there is still an advantage in these sports(swimming, MMA etc.) and that women for decades fought and climbed to get to where they have(Where it still trails men's sports in many ways) that having someone with physical advantages makes it all the more harder to overcome.

I do think in spurts, Rousey isn't bad in the ring though and she had a big involvement in that Angle & Rousey vs HHH/Stephanie match and given Stephanie isn't a wrestler, Rousey did a great job all things considered. Effy is wrong there. I just think Rousey is pretty limited with her mic work and storytelling but in spurts, she is still an asset.

If that is all Rousey said, I don't think that is being transphobic in the least bit. 

After watching her streams I think Ronda is just absolutely shit with words. When pushed on fighting Fox Ronda said she could have taken the fight cause her Judo would beat her. She will sometimes just say weird ass shit sometimes though. But from what I seen she def is for LGBT shit, and has nothing against trans people. But if you just follow her from viral tweets I can see why people think otherwise.

Not sure if you caught her Revolver or RoH match but she looked amazing. A lot her stuff had a lot more impact.

The trans stuff people been prepping for since at least 2000 when I was still in the sport psychology area. We know that advantages are nullified with testosterone blockers and estrogen over time, generally 2+ years. So it becomes a matter of how long do people need to wait to compete as a woman, and measuring their levels. I would also toss in a rule of stripping titles should detransitioning occur. Few legit trans people detransition, but people do weird shit for glory, and this would block an East German Swim team situation from happening again under the guise of them all being trans superstars.

I do find it crazy now we got people claiming trans woman have advantages in fishing, chess, esports and even scrabble. Even at 135, people like Ronda would clean the floor with someone transitioning for an advantage in MMA. It is just not large enough to overcome skill.

But trans in sports is looking at the wrong problem. While people are in a fuss about that, we found that a lot of the top women have the same genetic mutation, ACTN3, and it is one that can be imprinted in vitro. A couple of other genes can be added for stronger ligaments and lower blood pressure. Unlike chemical doping, there is no way of proving genetic doping has occured either.

Ronda has done a lot for Baszler who has been openly gay for the longest time from their time in The Ultimate Fighter together to wrestling in the WWE together where Rousey made it a mission to work with Baszler as much as possible with the Four Horsewoman thing etc. She would not have picked Shayna as her top pick on that show and still ride with her for as long as she has if she was anti-LGBTQ+. Would not surprise me if Shafir or Duke just tell Effy off, I am surprise it hasn't happened yet TBH. :lol: 

Ronda is also an lowkey Pokemon fan, as in playing the games and everything so I think she isn't like say Brock Lesnar who hunts and wants little to no involvement with traveling and/or people.

Which is insane as both of those girls were so loveable.

It was always so weird the LGBT stuff as she clearly has gay friends and would attack others as homophobes, often savagely. But she just like really needs a filter to make sure she is saying what she wants to actually say cause some of her statements of support did not come out that way at all.

That said, IIRC she had apraxia. Could just be part of a lingering speech disorder that makes her say weird shit at times. I got a related one where what I think I am type is not what actually is typed sometimes and that is why I randomly skip works or write the wrong words.

Matt Riddle appeared via video promo on the NJPW New Year's Dash show to challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi. That's what he's doing now. I'd rather he stay in WWE to be honest.

-He got accused from a woman during the #Metoo movement in wrestling
-Had infidelity with his wife, he married a porn star recently and is having a kid with them

-Had a bad feud with Dana White which given Endeavor just hooked up with WWE, sorta sealed Riddle's fate
-Called Bill Goldberg out with his wrestling skills, including laughing at him during that Taker/Goldberg botchfest at one of the Saudi shows. He openly called out Brock Lesnar to want a match with him and Brock basically small timed him because of how he treated his buddy Goldberg.
-Riddle's ex wife went after Becky Lynch's body and Riddle didn't really do anything to defuse that situation at the time so he and Rollins had massive heat until they did an angle ways later.
-Had the airport incident in JFK here in NYC where he accused security guards/workers of groping/molesting him when it was on camera he was drunk/intoxicated and being a disruption to the crew at the airport.

He's had so many messups man, it just wasn't worth it for WWE's end. Shame because the dude is super talented and has a likable gimmick to the audience but too much risk involved with him. 

Earlier today, I had a man I'm old moment, so anyway a co-worker of mine (hes like 22), cross chopped me DX style. Honestly, I had no idea he was a fan of wrestling or anything until that moment, but I asked him if he was a DX fan, and he's like yeah they were my childhood. Like the DX from my childhood and the DX from his childhood are to completely different versions of the group and I feel old as fuck now.

Some pretty big news that will fly under the radar with everything going on over the past week or so.

Rossy Ogawa was fired from Stardom today. He is one of the three founders of the company and was their head of talent and promotions, as well as their Executive Producer. He’s a major reason why women’s wrestling exploded in Japan over the past decade.

Word is he is headed to WWE and was trying to poach wrestlers on his way out the door. Stardom found out and fired him. There is now big speculation that he is the main reason Giulia is likely choosing to go to WWE and he is headed there with her. The coming weeks will tell how many other talents he convinced to leave with him.

Tony Khan is celebrating on twitter and this lends some fuel to the rumours that Rossy was the reason AEW never worked with Stardom despite having a working relationship with Bushiroad/NJPW. They own Stardom too yet they never got to use any talent. People speculated that with Rossy trying to move to WWE that he was blocking it and now it looks like those rumours were true.

Tony Khan looks awful celebrating someone getting fired on Twitter, I don't care if it's a personal issue or not. It's tacky and unprofessional as fuck. Especially when layoffs hit so many different companies.

You can put this in the Problems of AEW or whatever but Tony Khan looks fucking awful here. 

Rossy & Asuka have some bad blood that came out a while ago, not sure what happens there or if there's a way for them to make up or keep it professional. 

Tony is celebrating as Rossy was working on a deal with WWE that likely would have cut him out of using Stardom talent despite having other deals with Bushiroad.

Rossy is not coming to WWE, but people believe now he will start a few fed, and take the people that are currently unhappy with Bushiroad's Stardom with him.

Also the heat with Asuka was not with Rossy but Nanae Takahashi.  Takahashi was who vowed Kana would never work for Stardom or Seadlinnng.  Passion Red's breakup went hard.

Seeing about a dozen or more girls expected to leave Stardom next month when a large way of contracts are up. Likely the end of dojo based feds dominating joshi is here as well as the Stardom girls will have to mix it up with the TJPW idol girls finally. Been a long time coming really as this is all politics from the AJW era that had a stranglehold on joshi.

This is a mess. Sounded like Stardom president approved of Rossy fed, then when talent said they would rather work there, he freaked out and fired Rossy. From the sounds of things, it would have been a Bushiroad fed. Now the few is still starting, but will be outside of Stardom and Bushiroad, and peel talent away from Stardom while they work there.

Very likely one of the two feds left from this will keep the Gaea era dojo attitude, and the other fed will start using idols, as this is one of the main conflicts right now in Joshi, whether or not idols turned wrestlers have a place in Joshi. Some of the girls claim people like Maki Itoh or Asuka are a disgrace to Joshi.  

Where's Austin Aries?

He ran out of feds. When only CYN (was it EVER a thing?) would book you, there's no more bridges to burn.

Fair enough. I was just surprised with everything happening in wrestling, including a TNA revival, there was no Austin Aries.

I would have thought he'd be a decent hand in AEW.

He was blackballed after a mix of sexual assault accusations and going all MAGA backstage.  He not wrestled in over a year as people would pull themselves from shows if he got booked.  He is more untouchable than Scrull these days.  People still train with Marty they actively avoid Aries.  Zelina really made an upgrade leaving his ass for Black.  

So Dream returned to action in a small indy fed in Albany, NY. Promoter hid he was appearing beforehand. Fucked up seeing him come out and slap hands with the kids. His fans say this is proof he did nothing wrong. WWE, AEW, TNA, GCW and AAA all turned him down when he tried to work with them. Guess these tiny feds are his future. My local fed turned him down as like most other feds if they book Dream most your roster will refuse to appear.

RevPro show yesterday looked really good. AEW made their appearances and it would be cool if we saw more working relationships going forward in the UK. RevPro would be a great place to do excursions. Maybe an ROH vs RevPro show? Crowd would eat that up over there.

-Orange Cassidy made a surprise appearance and defended the International championship somewhere other than the US for once.

-Will Ospreay gave a heartfelt farewell wearing an AEW sweater and promised that if you liked his last 8 years in Japan, then you haven’t seen anything yet.

-crowd chanted “Thank You Tony!” at TK more than once.

-Darby Allin was also in attendance but didn’t wrestle. Judging by photos taken at the Fulham game and Wembley, they were all there promoting the Wembley show.


Haven’t watched it yet but apparently Michael Oku vs Will Ospreay was really good. If this keeps up Ospreay might be involved in my entire Top 10 MOTY this year.

Speaking of AEW talent, Thunder Rosa appeared in the crowd at a weekend CMLL show.
