They should really make it so you have to be 18+ to get involved in wrestling, really hasn’t evolved much from the carny days ethics wise

In some places it is 18+. In the US states limit that shit. Was a big deal with Mark Briscoe since he debuted at 15, but had to wait three years to wrestle in some places.

I'm surprised they ever had limits. To the GP wrestling outside of WWE is basically a lemonade stand.

State athletic commissions control the wrestling laws. Was a pretty big thing back in the day with CZW as laws kept getting passed that limited what they could do at shows.

He’s overreacting

The rapper Killah Priest. Went to a show that was Chino XL,MF DOOM and Ghostface Killah there. Met Ghostface and he was cool

So I went with a friend and didn’t know this had occurred:

Friend buys a wu-tang shirt for $50 off of Killah Priest (you could get them at an op shop/thrift store for $2 at the time). 5 mins later he goes up to Killah priest and asks him to sign the shirt

He then accuses my friend of STEALING the shirt, he tries to explain several time he bought the shirt off of him and what notes he paid with etc. Priest has a woman with him backing him up saying he stole the shirt. Me not knowing this happened…went up to Killah Priest with my ticket stub and asked him to sign it. He starts signing it then asks “did you buy a shirt” I tell him no then he stops signing and shoves it back to me. My friend had bought heaps of his CDs and stuff so really sucked for him.



Side note, I’ve seen Courtney love live as someone in my family won tickets off a radio content and no one in family wanted to go with him :lol:.

My Courtney Love story:

I was at LAX waiting for my flight home. Due to stupid work reasons (I was there for training), I got dropped off at the airport 10 hours before my flight. I got drunk at Chili's before wandering around the airport and ended up at the Oakley store.

While drunkenly staring at sunglasses I could never afford, a short blond woman walked in, grabbed a pair of red shades, threw them on, then slapped me on the shoulder and said "do these look okay?"

I said "Yeah they look good."

She walked to the cashier and while she was paying I realized it was Courtney Love.

I then went back to Chili's and had several more pints while waiting for my flight.

Anyway fuck SRS.

The joke was Wendy Choo is finally coming into her own in NXT so naturally the WWE will release her. aka Dakota Kai aka a million other talents etc etc

SRS is the Adam Schefter of pro wrestling, as long as he sticks to not including his opinion and biases, he's good for getting some sources. The problem is he doesn't just do this as he wants to become a personality and he has a weird sense of humor that only he and his friend's are allowed to say. He was recently put on blast at the last AEW Media Scrum by Tony Khan for leaking out the report of Orange Cassidy's new music. Heard SRS, JDFromNy206 and some others got their videos demonetized. :rofl: 

Very few personalities I actually like on the "IWC". I say the same on Meltzer but anyone who seriously charges money for dirt sheet stuff and anyone who actually buys it I don't really get behind. That's why I love the quote tweets, Ross Sapp can't disable those like he does with the replies to prevent spoilers.

I’ve found that with wrestling TikTokers as well, have almost all of them blocked as they act like they are signed to WWE & have the weirdest takes ever that they seemingly say just to drum up controversy.

Anyone that wants to slightly disagree with them their video starts with
“First of all I have so much respect for __ in this community and love their videos and support them so much but…” just be aggressive aggressive and say what you want to say 🤦🏻‍♀️.

System is spot on about people reacting like weirdos on social media. My cousin's girlfriend blocked me on Facebook because I told her Family Guy sucks. People behave & react in a way they wouldn't have the balls to act like in real life.

System you ever been part of a "boring" or any combination of this match sucks chants? I'd be interested to know what if anything people in the biz think of stuff like that. Or is that more of a "tv" size thing? Cuz like being in a crowd of 15 and having some dude start a chant like that is just WTF. Like you ever have any Eddy/RVD incidents? Just imagine Fergus waits patiently until a dumb mark jumps the barricades and then curb stomps him 3 times before the ref is like chill brah.

Or is security on smaller shows enough where it's rare?

When I did security only person I had to stop was a REALLY drunk girl. And really security is more to cool off the wrestlers than protect them. They can very well protect themselves. Security is there to basically remind them it is a bad idea for them to deal with fans themselves as fans can break easily.

I knew a guy who tried his hardest to get boring chants. He worked as a technical heel and would work as slow as possible to get heat working headlocks.

Never had a boring chat but it's hard to decipher crowd chants at times, especially when you're concentrating on your match/Aussie accents aren't the clearest. You're told to take it home if you can't win the crowd back but most people take that to mean go an extra 5 minutes.

As for second question

I was announcing and much to my dismay they put my desk outside the barricade not inside near the ring. During women's match guy jumps in the ring & spat in wrestler's face, Lucky referee and co-worker got to him quick as I couldn't get there fast due to the whole crowd thing. Glad it didn't happen to me when shows were at my workplace as I'd probably get fired for defending myself.

One show I was just at as a fan with down syndrome jumped the barricade after the show took his shirt off and motioned to fight the heel, the heel played along then ran away scared then said fan ran around doing victory laps while people cheered him and ref raised his hand, allowing for his carer to help him out.
Handle it well rather some places would have just tackled him to the ground etc.
