Shocked at how poor Qatar looks thus far, think the pomp & circumstance may have taken them out of their loose pace. Ecuador just looks like a different class out there.

Qatar are good in the AFC, but they do not play anything like the quality of opposition they’re getting today in Ecuador. It’s a big step up and it looks too much for them.

They looked fair in the CONCACAF tourney they were in last year but yeah this could be bad. If they were to ever make it out of this group, this needed to be a win. Senegal is pretty good and Dutch are too.

Feels like Valencia has been playing for ages, but he's my age. He's been outstanding.

Qatar keeper looks like a headless chicken out there, putting himself out of position on some of this and a bad defence ahead of him is where Ecuador is teeing off. Was nearly 3-0.

Think Qatar has to make a change for games 2 & 3 pending on how the score winds up.

I never thought they’d beat Ecuador but I expected them to be able to string a few passes together. They are not good.

Needed to be a win, needed a better effort the 2nd half. Think it comes down to who gets gashed less by the English between Wales and US as to who advances 2nd.

I’m no expert I’ve just gotten into this sport the last couple years but this US v Wales match has had some schizo reffing. Both ways. Second half has certainly been a hell of a game though.

Anyway enjoying my first World Cup. Been some tremendous play in all four games thus far.

Really good game. US has to curb some of the pressing though if they don’t have the fitness levels to see it through. Wales might have won if they played Moore from the start but who knows. Both teams should beat Iran.

The issue is they called it tight for a lot of the time but then backed off it late game, no idea how you play when you have no clue what's going on.

Really think it comes down to goal diff but I think Iran is a better side than what they showed today, they will treat the 3rd game vs US like it's everything given the meaning.
