Being happy about two draws is so the new woke America. You play to win the game. Hopefully Iran ties them again and we can all say “good effort”. I’m rooting for Argentina from this point on. Go gettem Messi! Lol compared to losing to Trinidad & Tobago in a qualifying round, I'll take it. I'm rooting for Argentina also though. Messi deserves a cup. Would be cool to see him beat Ronaldo in the final.

US far better side that first half,could have been easily 3-0. Just cannot have another second half like they had vs Wales which would mean terrible condition and would allow Iran to level. Iran are merely countering curious with the stakes if they go more aggressive with the subs now.
Wales needs to show more,they showed character in the second half vs US and for much of the Iran game until the red card.

Embarassing how quick Iran are just falling at the last end of the game.
What an effort, such a shaky performance but so glad US move on. Dutch probably will eat this team alive but this is huge, didn't make it 4 years ago to now get out of this group.

Man the United States have no chance to win another game. They’re awful to watch. They put all the effort in the 1st half but they have no striker to finish, that's what will do them in. Much like with the Wales game, they just lost nutrition and composure the later half. Shaq Moore is the epitome of what is wrong with this side, MLS player who is getting in this game and making with one hand massive mental blunders.

They lost Pulisic, McKinnie(Via sub, he isn't fully good to go to get a full game in), that's their two creators and arguable top talents. Team isn't WC worthy without those guys. They have a very young team too so they are learning on the run as well. Like I said, for this team to be in the knockout round with all of this going against them, for them to draw England, this is well ahead schedule. Dutch can pop em 3-0 or whatever but it changes nothing. US team was the butt of all jokes 4 years to not even qualify, now they're 1 of the last 16 standing. CONCACAF needed this too with Canada going out after how good they were in the WC Qualifiers, Mexico being an absolute joke and Costa Rica getting 7-0'd and need to climb and defeat Germany to progress.

But if the US had a decent finisher we’d go further. As it stand I don’t think we could beat Netherlands even with Pulisic who looks doubtful. Inexperienced, lack of patience at times. Didn’t catch the game but not entirely surprised. Australia have looked industrious since minute one, and much more at ease with conditions and the hard pitches than some of the more fancied teams. A huge blown opportunity for Denmark.

Just realised I didn’t post after the game last night. I’m still proud of the boys. It’s disappointing to have played like a pub team through most of the tournament, and we ought to investigate why that happened. I think the reset button needs to be pushed to a certain extent. England are good but I don’t consider them amongst the favourites.
I hope I don’t curse the US, but I think the Americans have the attributes to trouble the Netherlands.
