Regarding acquiring Jade Cargill, do you think WWE will force Cora Jade to change her name?
I'm sure Vince hates the idea of having two Jades on the roster.

Very likely. Cargill has a higher ceiling. Could just release her altogether too.
Then again, since she was in AEW, they may want to brand her with a different name.

Drop the A,D and E and call her Cora J. Simple solution.
But remember, once upon a time we had Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Brian Christopher, Christian...
Austin, Richards, Blackman...
Nikki Cross, Nikki Bella...
Lashley, Roode.. Gulak, McIntyre...
Or don't, I doubt anyone is going to confuse the two.

A lot of Punk news this week. Seems he really wants back in WWE now he is out in both AEW and Heelz.
Reports are though a lot of heat are still on him, with Seth and Roman being open about it. Also believed if Punk pulled what he did in AEW, he would simply get his ass beat backstage.
One major hangup will be money. Punk's AEW salary was way higher than many maineventers in WWE right now. And based on his AEW run mostly being Punk hurt, it will be a problem for Punk to get the same offer from WWE.
Of course the big question will remain, who is in charge of hiring? As the MMA side does still like Punk since he did not cause problems there, and was a draw despite sucking and being on the absolute bottom of the card. Obviously they will never bring him back to fight, but may want him for appearances, and back in WWE.

I have no doubt Punk will be back in WWE some day. I think it’s too soon, for now. And would think he'd need to do some solid PR work to improve his image first.
If he spends every opportunity bad-mouthing AEW, on top of years of bitching about WWE, I doubt anyone will touch him. If he actively tries, I think he'll be back.
A smart play would be first sitting him down with Chris Van Vliet, who everyone loves these days and gauging the response, and then Punk acknowledging some of his actions being toxic and troublesome, without dwelling on who was right and who was wrong.
He's a HOF'er as is AJ Lee and both will eventually warrant being inducted.

Punk would do anything for love, but he will not do that.
All I keep reading implies that Punk wants to return to WWE, and his backstage visit after Brawl Out was an attempt to mend fences, but WWE still is just not very interested.
I do also think it is now or never. Punk is 44 and struggling with injuries. How much longer can he be reasonably expected to wrestle? His foot like exploded on the barricade and he had a tendon rip clear off in a match. Neither are good signs of a long run still to come.

Reports are Punk reached out to WWE and WWE said not interested.
Booker trashed him asking what value does someone who been fired from WWE then their competitor bring. Also points out that the ratings did not move a whole lot when he came to AEW.

No HHH needs to retire. WWE is full of fucking unprofessional children who do not see Punk is bigger than HHH, Stone Cold, The Rock, Taker and Cena combined.

They should have pushed Justin Credible instead on that faithful night on ECW.
At least he had a drug problem to explain he aggressive behaviour, general paranoia and deteriorating body.

Clearly what WWW needs to do is fire Cody and turn Smackdown over to Punk so he can have a safe space to wrestle on and be champion. Just ban HHH, Seth, Miz and Roman, along with anyone else who spoke badly of Punk, and things will be fine.

Word on the street is, Nick Aldis is WWE bound and potentially debuts on Smackdown tonight.
Theory is, he's debuting as an authority figure.
But at 36, is he potentially the supposed superstar to Smackdown?

Hilarious rumors floating around that WWE will make a play for Ospreay in Jan to be a face of a revived NXT UK.

WWE made this sort of offer twice so far to Will, first with Evolve, then NXT UK, and he turned them down. Now he is a far more in demand wrestler I do not see him deciding now is the time to go back to a small fed no one cares about.

Didn’t Will just say like four days ago that he was finally open to working with WWE and and even moving to the United States. Something about how he is getting older and how a slower style of wrestling might prolong his career? I can’t remember for sure.

He'd likely sign with AEW, considering the freedom to work outside of the brand and the familiarity with the boys. But considering how WWE has presented Cody, Jade and even AJ upon his debut, it would have to be tempting. Very tempting. If I were Hunter, I'd be picking up Cody and flying to meet Ospreay with a big bag of cash.

Didn’t Will just say like four days ago that he was finally open to working with WWE and and even moving to the United States. Something about how he is getting older and how a slower style of wrestling might prolong his career? I can’t remember for sure. He said that after he locked down the new agent. And it is almost certainly a bargaining strategy. If Will kept up his not interested in WWE attitude why would Tony make him a large offer, as he is only competing with the NJPW and TNA offers? But he starts to talk about WWE, now Tony needs to make sure to be competitive with WWE, who definitely will be making large offers. Will may not be interested in WWE, but WWE is very interested in him and have been for years. HHH tried been scouting him since 2016. Given Will is also a huge public fan of HHH's booking, they likely have had private talks for years about Will in WWE. But now is not likely the time. If Will still wants to be on top and put on top quality matches, AEW is where to go. A lot of his trademarks he will not be able to use in WWE. Stormdriver 93 will never be in WWE. Hitodenashi Driver, Burning Star Press, Essex Destroyer, old school Brainbuster all not likely cool in WWE. And even the Hidden Blade is questionable. He would really need to like restart his style from scratch.

Kairi return is imminent, I’m so happy. She’s been one of the best baby faces of the last few years. I hope she and Iyo get to be the ones to retire Asuka.

I assume she fights Iyo, then the three team together to just dominate the women's division. 3 on 3 matches gets a lot of girls on PPV or TV together.
Asuka not going anywhere anytime soon, so no need to set anything up now. And down the line they can turn on Asuka anyway.

Not a new signing but Dragon Lee as part of getting called up redid his contract, and signed long term. WWE does not want him in AEW now LFI is here.
Sole reason he is in WWE appears that he got tired of waiting on Tony to push LFI and did not have faith they would get pushed in the future given how little his family was being used.

Easily an addition to LWO.
Rey is carrying all three of the LDF guys. I'd almost guarantee, if they lost Rey to injury, LWO falls down the card tomorrow.
If they can find some personality in Dragon Lee, he could be a big star.

In the rumor that will not die, Punk reportedly meeting with WWE people for Survivor Series. Swirling around this is WWE is shooting down all rumors so it will be a complete surprise, but off the record people say they expect him to re-sign.
Feels like people are huffing the copium or this is Punk's people spreading rumors trying to pressure WWE into meeting with him. That said, decision could always come down from above WWE if Endeavor wants him.
That all said, not sure what Punk assumes would happen if is he signed. He hated HHH when HHH was just an influential wrestler. This time HHH will be the boss. And unlike Tony, he will not be bullied by Punk's lawyer, as WWE has a nasty legal team that few cross and win.

His ego is broke. Within several weeks he was fired from wrestling and his TV show canceled. All he has now is MMA commentary on a show few watch. He wants the fans worshipping him again and people idolizing backstage. And right now all means of getting that were basically severed. His options right now are basically signing stuff at the cons full of other former stars well past their prime.
