Just pointing out the massive contrast in the career of Cody Rhodes.

Losing to Roman, you'd expect any contender to slip down into a mid card role like everyone else, except Cody's moved onto Brock Lesnar. That's not a small thing.

I haven't made my way through yesterday's episode of Monday Night Raw yet, and I'm not gonna read through six pages, but were there any post-WrestleMania call up's?

No.  The only return that night was Matt Riddle.

I gave WWE a shot again this wrestlemania weekend. And I do not understand why people continually watch this.

Please, how was RAW an enjoyable program in any way?

I really enjoyed the Cody-Brock-Roman stuff.

A hint at a possible title unification between Rhea and Bianca down the road was wonderful.

KO/Sami v SP was a very enjoyable match.

I was at a conference this weekend and was trying to do some work so I missed some of the other stuff.

In all fairness, Liv/Raquel-Damage CTRL and Riddle-Miz was nothing to write home about.

I don’t remember anything that I hated though.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I assume folks watch live, and it just felt like an unenjoyable experience

The show was ok, but it just needed more important announcements

Plus, they wasted several minutes, and a commercial break on Seth doing literally nothing but maestroing the crowd.

I typically watch start to finish. As stated, I’m out of town at a conference and was doing small tasks during the show. So I only probably saw a combined half of this show and it was in spurts. I missed everything with Rollins so I can’t speak on that.

Would Rollins really have anything important to say?

There was some speculation that Pretty Deadly were going to debut in that segment. I'm skeptical of it and presume it was just a fan putting two and two together. Pretty Deadly have been ready for awhile and the ridiculous outfits gives them some synergy.

It does raise the question of where Seth goes from here. He does have some unfinished business with Roman Reigns and that's always an opponent you can go back to. I presume they didn't have any major plans, which is why they left it as an appearance and just had Seth bask in the adulation of the fans. I expect them to do the same set up next week only for whoever was set to ruin it to make their way to the ring.

I'm happy to see Liv, earn herself a shot at the tag titles, even though we all know she and Raquel aren't winning them.

“Cody needs a redemption arc first” was the talking point for a lot of people, now they are going in that direction a lot of people are furious.

I agree RAW wasn’t great & night 2 was a bit disappointing, but it’s like 2 shows worth of content from a company that pumps out 3+ weekly shows a week. The #FireVince stuff is hysterical

I could maybe understand if we get months worth of BS, but calling for complete overhaul because you didn’t like two episodes of WWE is ridiculous.

In fairness it wasn’t like we just finished a mediocre December PLE to Raw. It was the last night of Wrestlemania and the Monday after (which doesn’t have to be a big thing, but they certainly hype it as huge). Those are built and promoted by the company to be the best six hours of content from a Sunday to Monday that the company is going to deliver all year and around which a good chunk of their storytelling for the year is built around. Being disappointed by the direction from that makes a little bit more sense, especially in the context where they suddenly have a disruptive force elevated back to power to put out a really crummy Monday product.

I liked Wrestlemania night two and what I didn’t like had nothing to do with Roman winning (I don’t get Cody or why anyone thinks he should be the champion. He’s fine, but I’d have better understood a myriad of contenders who have more WWE accomplishments). I thought Raw was the drizzling shits (well I liked the culmination of Lesnar/Rhodes, but thought the setup was stupid).

But I think the real questions shouldn’t start until we find out if Vince is staying on the road with Smackdown tomorrow.

Fightful is now reporting that the Cody/Brock thing was planned well before Mania by HHH. Who knows if it’s true or not, but it does speak to the ridiculousness of some of the discourse around WWE post-Mania.

HHH is not all that great at producing TV. I’ve tried it a few times and struggled with it. NXT I found unwatchable once it went to 2 hours. I like his long-term booking and his elevation of titles, and I prefer him to Vince generally. But the idea that he’s a creative genius while Vince is a dementia patient just makes me roll my eyes like Downey Jr in that gif.

So you’re saying they’re both dementia patients? Because I’ve seen Vince’s mustache, somethings going on there.

Funny how the story keeps changing, probably based on who is leaking and the response to Raw. It started with Vince rewriting the end of Raw and refusing to change it no matter what anyone says, morale is done, Drew and Bayley are leaving, HHH basically was saying bye at the start.

Then a sympathetic to Vince wrestler comes out with “I mean he was there but it wasn’t as bad as people say, Bayley was being protected from another Damage CTRL loss, no need to worry.

Now I keep seeing “the Brock turn was planned a month ago” after its become the only positively reviewed thing in the show.

Some impressive old school dirt sheet politicking this week.

Long story short, no one knows shit and everyone is purely speculating. Including the people on here who think they've got the inside scoop.

That Raw was so mid. Hopefully, tonight is better.

It was pitched to book Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock) for HVW but they couldn’t justify his asking price at the time.

It wouldn't be a good idea for them to face each other considering where both of them are in their careers. Apparently tonight was Lita's last night.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Trish fares during this feud. A heel turn is exciting because she did some of her best-ever work as a heel, but somewhat bizarrely her mic skills seem to have dropped off worse than her wrestling post-retirement.

That Canadian accent now is almost as thick as an extra on Letterkenny.
