Had this idea come to me a couple of days ago, discussed it with some fellow mods, mates and there's been no objection so i'm going to see how this goes. 

Standard PW draft rules apply, snake ladder, 24 hours to make picks etc. 

For this first run since it's a new idea and a bit out there, i'm going to limit signups to 8. I'm also thinking 8 match selections per roster but i'm wide open to discussion on that one.

Anyway, here's how it goes. 

Instead of wrestlers, you draft matches but once the wrestlers in that match are used, they're off the board just like any other draft. 

If I draft Austin vs HHH from No Way Out 2001 or Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar, those wrestlers are off the board for everyone so matches like Lesnar vs Taker become ineligible since Lesnar was already drafted. 

Any questions feel free to ask and we'll get them sorted. I'm not going to take a spot unless necessary. If it goes well we can do tag match variations, specialty match variations etc.

Thankyou Kilgore. I think i'm going to give it about 24-48 hours longer for signups and if no-one else joins i'll give CK a spot and take the other myself so we can give this a go.

I'll be watching and voting but won't be able to participate in this one, the last fan fic draft took a lot out of me and I still haven't recovered yet. This does seem like a cool idea though.

Just to note, I love this idea. Think about it: after the first round, 16 wrestlers will be gone, along with all the singles matches they've ever been in. By the final round you'll really have to dig to find some hidden gems to round out your roster.

This is the kind of draft the History forum is all about. I'm also kind of nervous because by about round 5 I'm going to be so out of my league. :lol:

There will be so much heartbreak losing picks in different matches, and the later rounds will be extremely difficult, but it should be fun.

This is one I really wanted to go first on, but second ain't bad at all. Haven't been this excited for a draft before.

Sorry for being so late gents. Was a busy last two days. 

Definitely one of the first selections I expected. Position is going to be so key in this draft.

I'm not too happy with being number 1. That's a lot of matches about to go away by the time it gets back to me.



However, Rock vs Austin was always gonna be my pick if I could get it. Nothing I would choose over it.

That wasn't my #1 choice, but you did take away one of the wrestlers that participated in my #1 choice. Not too surprised at that.

That was torture. Juggling four matches in my mind for like 15 minutes. I came to the conclusion that I would never be satisfied with my choice, so I just settled for one arbitrarily.

This is gonna be really painful. Rock, Austin, Taker, Foley. All gone in two picks.



Do the different faces of Foley count as different people? 

That's a good question, I thought about it while coming up with this idea and I landed on no. Just like in standard drafts, Foley is now off the board.

The key to this thing as we get deeper in is going to be picking good matches that were perhaps unexpected, that way only one big name goes away with certain picks. I've thought of a couple that will hopefully go undetected.
