This current space program to the moon was put into place by Trump, who signed off on the 19 billion dollar deal. Not sure why you are blaming socialists for this. Liberals been against manned space exploration since the 1970's. It is conservatives that want that picture of the American flag waving on the lunar surface.
The SpaceX problems are a result of Musk's attitude. All safety zones had to be removed because he demanded it. The reason he gave is the color yellow and stripes are ugly. Musk keeps insisting that timelines be accelerated and people just work longer hours to make it happen. He also pushes to cut safety margins. And best of all, there is an investigation as to whether or not Musk should even be allowed to make any decisions related to NASA projects since he is a drug addict. There is no doctor assigned for his Ketamine use. Nor his LSD and Mushroom use. He admits to self-prescribing these three.
Should the investigation prove Musk is using these substances unsupervised, which he admits to freely, SpaceX will have to divest from him, or lose the NASA contract. Twice now they looked the other way, but the new comment he used more than weed, and that employees were concerned with how out touch he was, may be what the feds finally need to cut his security clearance entirely.
Personally, I think people are seriously confusing what the people he buy do, with what Elon does. SpaceX existed without him. Tesla existed without him. He is not involved in any of the engineering or science at either company. His contribution to human accomplishing is paying people to do what they already are doing, and claiming he is the ones creating things. He is not scientifically literate, nor is he computator literate. He is a snake oil salesman and a personal hype machine. But everything he takes a personal hand in, he leaves worse for it.

I hope Elon crucifies MediaMatters in court. Cali has the strongest anti-SLAPP laws in the country, so all Media Matters needs to do is repost the press releases from the companies that pulled their ads citing antisemitism, and can ask for a special motion to settle, get a bench rejection, and damages equal to their legal costs. Should Media Matters want to go to a full trial, Cali awards triple punitive damages with no cap for Anti-SLAPP countersuits. So Musk really wants to fuck around this will likely cost him millions he does not have. Mr. freedom of speech should really look at the laws regarding it.

Musk aside for a minute… catastrophic failures at this rate do seem weird to me. Like rockets don’t really blow up on the pad anymore. At least no at a rate of 100%.
Both the government, its contractors and private companies all have a better success rate. ( all of which are pretty close to each other). SpaceX itself hasn’t had this sort of trouble… they have pretty much a 100% success with the falcon.
Sure sure research, testing I know… I’m just saying say what you want about the government but the Saturn 5 had a 100% success rate in the 1960s… this isn’t inventing the wheel…
I’m not calling shenanigans either, it just seems odd to me.

We put a man on the moon 50 years ago. It should not be this hard to get a rocket into the air. Give Blue Origin 19 billion they would have succeeded. And frankly they should have had the contract in the first place anyway.
Falcon started with the same repeated failures. The people involved had experience with rockets, but Musk keep changing things and wanting them to rush.
Remember, Musk goal with SpaceX was to do space travel for a fraction of the cost that NASA used to pay. And instead, he is charging more. And almost the entire value of the company is the NASA contract. If that were to fall through, there is no company left. There are almost no commercial launches and no space tourism, which were the goals 10 years ago.
Ultimately if you look at Musk, he does almost nothing himself of note in these companies, and causes major problems from his actions. Remove Musk, they would all do better. Meanwhile now, all three of his major companies are under federal investigation for his actions.
Which leads to Musk himself. All he really did of note but be born rich, get pay to leave PayPal, then have his large holding of Tesla stock get driven up by WSB. He created nothing, innovated nothing and really done nothing of note expect buying companies, and claiming credit for whatever they make. He is a junkie that people like worship because he is rich.
///
For the rocket the cause of the explosion remains unknown now. They believe it self-destructed when the booster detached and exploded, but may have just exploded when it hit space.
Believed if Musk loses one more rocket NASA will move to cut the contract since SpaceX is way behind schedule and over cost for the moon mission. While Musk wants to launch rockets with high failure rates to design based on failure, NASA wants a reliable craft, not the one that just did not happen to blow up.
Also NASA may rethink having Musk be in charge of sending up the Lunar Gateway. Part of the current investigations into his drug use are related to this.

Linda Yaccarino being advised by ad execs that if she does not leave Twitter in the near future, her rep will be as ruined as Musk's. Believed she has mere days left to leave before her planned pivot into politics is dead on arrival.
The groups that left say they came back because Twitter claimed they added safety measures, but it is clear that the problems cannot be solved. Unsaid is because the owner is part of it now.
In their statements this weekend, neither Musk or Yaccarino addressed Musk tweet that set off this firestorm, about jews promoting hatreds of whites by bringing hoards of non-white minorities to western nations, which Musk replied was the actual truth.

So we are clear, all of this angst stems from the fact that political and private organisations cannot have media removed at their request. This is a public forum and if someone posts something incorrect you dispute it or sue the person involved. The media hasn't wanted to report on the Twitter files but it should make everyone uncomfortable that political parties get to decide which stories they deem to be misinformation. The Trump derangement syndrome has stopped people realising that a mechanism hou set up like this will eventually be used against you... Now we have leftist students praising the "principled" actions of Bin Laden. You give your dog a taste of human flesh and sooner or later it turns on you.

It is monday, what was not filed was the Media Matters lawsuit.
Reason why is they have quotes from Musk supporting their claims. Also they appear ready to go for an Anti-SLAPP countersuit.
Got to love the entire media reporting on a tik tok user who had 371 followers. The average WWE forum poster on PW had their stuff read by more people than than _monix2. And now people are making it out like there is huge liberal movement to support Bin Laden. All they agree with is this is Palestine's homeland and they should have a right to exist in it without opression.
Here is the passage they were speaking of was:
Sounds a lot like what people have said here. Then people started to pick apart the second part of the letter.
Pull this out and he is more right than wrong. US does have a predatory debt system the bible forbids. We are the number one buyer of narcotics. Billy did get his dick sucked and the GOP made it a national story for months. We freely allow legal gambling. We use women to serve men in business settings. We sex sell in many forms and STDs spread out of control which created treatment resistant gonorrhea, a true superbug. We are heavy polluters who right moving to green energy. And we allow the wealthy to control politics. We are the only nation to use nuclear weapons and we clearly have values for others and different ones for ourselves, as our international laws, do not apply to us as we claim loopholes all time like using Gitmo for torture.
This is why this all got spreading more. Remove the clear antisemitism, and anti LGBT stuff, and the rest still holds. The US demands everyone obey standards that we do not obey ourselves, even when it comes to the bible whose laws we claim we use as the basis for morality, and the US has many faults that even conservative islamic terrorists thought were repressive, that are nonstarters for our left like money in politics, lending with interest, exploitative gambling, women's rights, etc.

Shareholder revolt starting for Tesla. Calling for his removal as CEO due to antisemitic statements. For some reason Jewish shareholders have issues with him. And these are not one or two share people, people complaining have deep investments in the company.
So far the board has been silent on his comments. It seems for many of the people being outspoken it is either they take action, or they will cash out. Even a couple cash out, there will be a rush to sell stocks before the value drops further.
Talk also of suing the board if they do not remove him claiming they have a fiduciary duty to remove Musk now with this being just the latest of a host of concerns, but a very, very serious one, even moreso than being absent or a drug addict, which both triggered suits prior.

Well Media Matter lawsuit was filed but is absolutely hilarious. Filed in Texas, by X Corp, a company based in Nevada, that operates out of California, against a group from DC and writer from Maryland. So there is no jurisdiction for Texas to hear the case. They filed it here as there is Anti-SLAPP protection in federal court, and they could send it to a Trump appointee.
Then he accuses Media Matters of hacking the Twitter algorithm to make racist posts appear near ad posts. Which he then he claims is why all the companies that dropped him last week, and not his antisemitic post.
I would absolutely love to see Media Matters pull the no reasonable person defense here. But more realistically it will be thrown out as moot. It is a defamation case where they admit that Media Matters was not lying, but being biased. Which is allowed legally. The legal argument reads like one Trump would submit, and does not present a real case in it. It was written for the public to read, not to win a lawsuit.
The most damning part is Musk provided no evidence the actions of Media Matters caused the advertisers to leave. Or how their reports differ from the dozen or other sites saying the exact same thing, before they did.

Noise coming that Media Matters may go to court so they can go to discovery and get Musk to reveal how content moderation works, and the internal numbers on hate speech. Believed Musk meanwhile will attempt to delay the trial indefinitely before discovery then drop it. It is unlikely a judge will allow discovery to occur under seal.

In the Florida wrongful death suit, judge ruled that Tesla and Musk knew the AI in the cars was not what they were promoting and is going to allow the case to proceed to trial. If they lose in trial, expected will set a precedent to sue both the company and Musk directly for injuries caused by the AI of the cars, and for fraud if you bought the car because it was self-driving.
Musks statements about the AI was what was used to get this decision and move the case through.

I'm a big proponent of electric cars. I have a Tesla Model Y that I like a lot. I'm very curious what the real range of a cybertruck towing 11,000 lbs will be. When reading about the truck stats keep in mind the practical range for a Tesla battery is 80-85% of stated range. The stated range is very optimistic and assumes a lot of regenerative braking. Electric cars are much less efficient than IC engines at high speeds and suffer greatly from air drag, which is exponential.

The advertisers are full of shit, there is many times more anti Semitic data on tiktok than there is on x. The real outrage against x is that those with power cannot control the narrative.
The Twitter files were shocking when you see the level of political interference in what should be a free marketplace of ideas. Of course it would be easier to make that case if Musk was not telling them to F themselves at every opportunity, he has FU money and already had a tendency to lack humility.

No one seems to bat an eyelid at Facebook either. Sure, every now and then someone climbs upon their high-horse and goes on a little tirade.. but it sure hasn't worked. Facebook is just as much of a cesspool as Twitter/X is, particularly the comments on news sites - on top of being a scammer's wet dream as a platform. Yet, no-one is calling for Zucker's demise.

Walmart left twitter after Musk told advertisers to go fuck themselves.
///
Cybertruck debuted to a flurry of pre-order cancellations. Costs 30 percent more than originally advertised for, and has 30% less range than originally advertised. Car designers reviewing the final copy are saying it is one of the worst designed cars they ever seen. The features they are panning are all must direct designs too, like the insistence it be bulletproof, that makes it less safe to drivers and inflates cost to repair several fold. People also upset that the cheapest version will not start production until 2025 at the soonest.
Fans pointing out that they only threw a softball at the windows this time, and many claims Musk made, like boat mode in the cars, was not mentioned at release. Tesla discussions wondering how much Musk lied about.
Final thoughts of reviewers is the similarly priced Rivian is the better truck as it has no strange gimmicks to it and will be cheaper to repair. For a cheap truck, the F-150 will get you nearly to the specs of the top 2, for 20k less, making it essentially what the Cybertruck was supposed to be.
While Musk is bragging about the exoskeleton, this design is not new, and it was almost entirely done away with as minor collisions leave the people within the car with severe injuries. The modern design with breakaway shells are done to keep people safe as they act as shock absorbers in collisions. Steel designs, push the shock through the people inside, breaking bones in many cases. Very likely that the FTC will be watching these closely to see injuries as there was a lot of controversy about the safety testing.
///
Appears too that at the reveal someone was planning to assassinate Musk and then do a mass shooting. Talked about it on Instagram and tagged by the terrorist flag. FBI got him in advance of the event. Since it was in Texas, he will likely get to keep his guns and try again in the future.

Members of both parties of the House Intel Committee saying we need to divest from Musk when possible. In particular, SpaceX for space travel, and Tesla for EV promotion. Similar calls have come from the armed forces committee in the Senate and divesting from Starlink.
The US government is one of Musk's largest clients, and full divestment would collapse SpaceX and likely Tesla if we pulled our contracts and ended our welfare.
Musk may be big, but when you fuck with AIPAC, you are fucked when it comes to congress.
