I also totally dig the concept of having the two Super Bowl teams open and close opening week every season by the way.

Champ gets Thursday Night to open the season and runner up closes the week on MNF. Both get to host.

As much as I love NFL history and old uniforms I got to draw the line with some of the 20’s-30’s throwbacks just look ugly, the only time they should wear those is if it’s coordinated between 2 teams, or be selective about what opponents you wear them against. Such a waste last year to see the Titans wear Oilers unis against the Falcons when they had some old AFC Central foes on their schedule

No kidding.  Who could forget those ugly, UGLY yellow and sky blue Eagle unis from a decade and a half ago.

The clip I posted I think was fine, Biden has been a disaster and deserved to be called out. And I think Butker being very good for his community and religion is admirable as well as trying to be a good role model for men. Men should not be put down for being men and good fathers/husbands deserve as much admiration as good mothers/wives when it doesn't really feel that way in the mainstream. Men can be raped and/or sexual harassed as much as women but the former it gets frowned upon for calling that out. 

But the pro life/anti-abortion stuff and him basically saying women belong as wives & to be at home while men go and work has and will not do him any favors with female fans/female media people. He's gotten roasted by plenty with stuff like this:

I had to take it down, you're right. 

A lot of good and honest beat writers/media people who work for the Chiefs are women, probably awkward as heck when they gotta ask him questions and the like. 

As Jets fans, we needed a distraction away from Aaron Rodgers conspiracy theories which he is doing again before the start of training camp. I appreciate Butker for 1-upping him. Fact that QAnon Rodgers did a 2+ hour interview with Tucker Carlson and was outdone by a kicker is amazing. 

I mean he’s the kicker, I doubt many of the Chiefs reporters ever cared to talk to him before he told us that gay people, working women and abortionists are evil (slight exaggeration, but very slight)

Also as I said to my coworker today who is angry… his view on a woman’s place is probably better than at least three or four of his teammate’s views on what women are good for.

That's actually a great point, I completely forgot you guys signed Matt Araiza at punter. It's like Butker wanted to deflect all of the incoming fastball questions & controversies of his fellow special teamer. 

Chiefs are having a really noisy offseason and not the good ones. I don’t like this happening heading for a 3Peat.

It’ll make a helluva documentary though if they become the first team to ever do it.

Agree 100%.  He's a devout catholic invited to speak at a catholic school, and his speech reflected those values.  Furthermore, being a homemaker IS A LEGIT CHOICE, regardless of what the feminist community tells you.   Especially for the catholic women he was addressing.     

If he would have given this speech at your average public university he would have been booed off stage, and rightly so.   But his tone and content were dead on with his audience at Benedictine.

Seems like potential friction in the locker room if Kelce is being out of the open of disagreeing and somewhat throwing Butker under the bus here.

While you aren't wrong about it being right for the audience, the issue (for me) is he didn't address men to give up their careers and stay home with the kids, only the women. 

He's entitled to his beliefs, but he's a public figure and now he's finding out what happens when public figures share their personal beliefs to the public. 

It is extremely disingenuous to suggest that all he said was that being a homemaker is a "legit choice". And the idea that making a misogynistic speech is ok because it was in front of other misogynists is ludicrous.

It's also disappointing (if not surprising) to see Mahomes and Kelce take the easy way out I don't agree with him but he's a good guy statement. No, he's a bigot, that's the very definition of not a good guy.
