If you want kids in a safe place, push for gender neutral facilities with locking doors. Solves all problems at once. But people do not want the problem solved, they want a vector to attack trans people.

Yeah most tran people are normal boring people who keep to themselves. The goal of most trans people is to transition completely and merely become the other sex. Until they can pass for the other sex completely, they prefer to be invisible.
The Chris Chans in the world, the trans community supports locking the fuck up as well.  There is no love in the trans community for people who make their lives harder by being perverts.

Statistically, people are more likely to molested in a female only space by a cis-male than a pre-op trans woman. This is just base rate fallacy.  There are far more cis people who would molest girls than trans people.  For people who did not realize it, for many trans girls, their penis becomes decorative as well, as the hormones absolutely kill any sexual desire they have. And yeah, banning people has done nothing to stop molestations in cis-only locker rooms as well. The most common place girls are molested are cis-only high school locker rooms by male coaches or teachers.

Almost no one offers locking spaces though as they claim if they had them, people would just do drugs in them. But if you want to solve the problem, you solve the problem at the core, otherwise you are just attacking trans people.

Same happens with sports. People misunderstand the shit all the time, but most trans in sports stuff is limited now by levels and last treatment date. High school does not have these requirements so some trans people excel. Once you move to the college level and more restrictions hit only one or two are excelling. Move to the Olympic level and almost none excel. At the olympic level though, genetics matter far more than any skill though, and women with naturally high levels of certain hormones dominant. Want to reform sports, you do not just ban trans people, you look at the exact levels that they have an advance in, and ban for everyone. But women do not want this, as the women excelling due to high levels want to keep their unfair advantages. Also parents refuse to have their girls tested at the high school level regularly which in essence kills the ability to regulate at the high school level at all.

The trans bans are super weird when you consider intersex athletes compete against the girls, and hold six went on to hold medals. We regulate them, and allow them to compete. XY females are also allowed to compete against the girls despite being biologically male. People act like this is all new, but the first intersex athlete competed in the 1932 games and won gold. Later found they had mosaicism after she was killed in an armed robbery and was found to have a non-functional penis.

Instead of attacking any of these issues at root levels, people just want to use these as an excuse to attack trans people and try to ban them more and more from public life until they return to quietly existing in the closet. And if that does happen, female only spaces will still have men in them, as nath said, that invisible line does nothing, and sports for women will never be entirely fair since genetics will always give some girls very unfair advantages. This will also only get worse with CRISPER and gene editing.

People too gonna have a bad time when they learn of the whole spectrum of non-trans people who float around that as a gross generalization are women with penises.  Many are cis or intersex and trans bans not really going to apply to them.  Twinks for instance guys generally do not want in the men's locker room and prefer be sent to the women's locker room since they have no sexual attraction whatsoever for women.  Ladyboys as well, since the size of their designer penises makes many men uncomfortable.

The safety and the well-being of the greater community outweighs that of an individual. And we are talking individuals, we aren't talking en masse, as there isn't a line-up of people trying to cross that invisible line at the local pool. My Grandmother wouldn't want a biological male in the change room with her, my mother, my sisters, my nieces - not because they are anti-trans or because they are filled with hate and spite and vile and venom towards trans or gay people, but because they actually have a right to a safe space, where they can be comfortable changing, showering and using the facilities.

The only solution as mentioned is the individual cubicle. Which is fine by me. The local gym/pool offers them, and it's much easier with my 4 year old getting changed in there, than having to endure a bunch of teenagers swinging their dicks around and suffocating everyone with Lynx Africa.

Individual cubicles is how you solve this entirely and should be the focus. Ditto for bathrooms. These spaces are unsafe by design, and will be even if trans people are removed from them entirely. Which is why people say this is just a vector to attack people. There is no systemic threat of trans people assaulting people in these spaces at all. There is for cis people though.

After a wave of appeals and legal moves, Trump will be going to trial monday for the hush money trial. Jury selection starts Monday with a pool of over 500 to open. Prior to this will be a motion to deny Trump the right to know the names of the jury because of his daily attacks on others involved in this case, and their families. Past two NYC trials used secret juries for this same reason.

Many believe Trump will find it irresistible to attack the jury in this case given he will have names and details about the jury until the judge issues a last minute block. Also believed he will do it to trigger a mistrial, likely before a final jury is even decided. This is a criminal act in itself, but I am sure people will claim it should not apply to Trump.

Humorous as the Republican National Convention was held on August 20th last year, clearly in violation of these same laws.

Caught up with what is up and not much highlights from the morning session.

Blanche is the lead lawyer for Trump Habba seems sidelined for this case.

If Trump testifies they must present an overview of what he will testify in the opening statement. If he does not testify the defense cannot imply anything about a second side he has to the story. They cannot hedge back and forth on him testifying or imply he will testify to things later that he does not as was the case in his prior cases. Goes without saying in a criminal case the rants Trump made in the last two trials will not be allowed.

Trump asked to be present for all sidebars during jury selection, a request that is likely to be denied due to space issues in the side room due to the secret service detail that must go with him.

Parker warnings issued that should Trump disrupt this trial like he did in the civil ones, he will be excluded from the rest of the trial and jailed until the end of it.

Bunch of rulings. Trump and secret service cannot be in the backroom for sidebar questioning of the jurors, only his lawyer. Instead the rest of the jury will step out for these sidebars.

Trump has thus far submitted no exhibits for defense, and has 24 hours to registered anything he plans to present. Anything presented after will be inadmissible. Should they not present anything, they will limited to cross examination and responding to testimony only.  Cout making it clear there will be no surprises in this trial.  Obviously applies to both sides.

Jury selection starts if 96 people, with another 400 or so waiting if needed.   God wish this was televised.  Voir dire is so interesting.

It's an interesting idea, but honestly the USD should be in the toilet already for the massive deficit the government is running.
The fact that the USD is the world's reserve currency is the only thing stopping it getting hammerered, there's just too much demand.

It's also more than a bit risky to run with a devalued dollar strategy when your trade deficit is 773 billion U.S. dollars

Summary of today seems to be 7 jury members seated, and Trump got his first warning for making comments near a jury members under his breath. He does it again it will be treated as jury intimidation.

They checked facebook histories of people today, so I imagine that names of the people with anti-Trump shit leak later on tonight.

Each side has four strikes left.

And once again Trump was reported to be asleep at times in the courtroom.  And after demanding to be at all sidebars today, he did not get up to join any.

Despite repeated warnings Trump will not stop attacking Cohen who is a witness at his trial. There is an increasing chance he will be taken to Rikers for the duration of the trial.  It was made very clear that this was not allowed, the judge already gagged him for it, and pleading with the lawyers to control him.  Only one step left to try to make him stop.

Anyone else doing this they would be in jail already.  Ruling should be Monday on how to proceed.

Interesting how Trump being on trial is simply increasing Biden's approval rating and dropping Trump's polling numbers. I was told for years it would be the opposite and that this would make Trump a hero.

Also noted the protesters now are now outnumbered by the media wanting to interview them. While thousands in the city still protest in the streets for Palestine.  Even Fox and Newsmax moving on from the trial tonight because their viewers also no longer really care.

Mayorkas impeachment dismissed for charges not rising to the level of high crimes or misdemeanors.

The trial was held, but charges were summarily dismissed in the opening so GOP did not get to present their case at all.

GOP is screaming, but the process used to dismiss the charges was a commonly used one in common law, and it is unlikely the courts will rule this did not fulfill the duty of having a trial or was improperly handled.

This will likely become the norm so long as impeachment remain political theater instead of actual trials that will sway any senator votes.

Looking like Ohio is going all in on keep Biden off the presidential ballots on election day. If they did this with Trump it would be an absolute outrage.

Reports are now that all three days Trump was required to be at the courthouse he appeared to fall asleep some point.

Every accusations they say.

Also team Trump mad that Trump cannot observe Passover like the devout Jew he is.  He REALLY does not want to come in next Tues for reasons unknown.  They originally were fighting for all of Passover but Tues seems to be the sticking point.  Not see any juror mention the observation of Passover as a problem to serving, but Trump's team is claiming the jury is turning all away orthodox Jews.

Finally the judge told his lawyer outright that he does not believe his lawyers can control Trump in regard to tweeting.  Ruling on whether or not and how many times Trump committed contempt of court and/or witness intimidation will come early next week.  Some believe the judge will order if he does not stop tweeting about the trial he will he will be treated like a normal criminal and barred from leaving the court during breaks unsupervised by the court, and spend nights at Rikers.   The judge threatened to make Trump sit out the trial in jail if he repeated his behavior from the Carroll trials or did not appear in court each day.

Sounding like the gravity of the situation is slowly getting through to Trump though that he does not control what happens here.
