Fun baseball day. I think it was a mistake to pitch Diaz yesterday in a 5-0 game. Forget him not pitching in a while he will be needed today and hopefully this week.

Pretty shitty circumstance for Arizona TBH since the winner of game 1 will feel no real need to play hard Game 2 and may opt to rest people for the upcoming series. Then again, Zona lost games vs SD so they reap what they sowed I guess but awful spot to be in needing a sweep of a doubleheader.

Would it surprise you if either team were to choke it away and get swept today? 

The Mets are historic choke artists and the injuries could all catch up to the Braves in one day.

Meh they brought it on themselves by prioritising their attendance as well as trying to keep their options open to be able to start their best pitchers, when there were options available that could have avoided playing today.

Baseball moves so quick that by the time I got off work they were in the 8th inning, but enjoyed the drama of the last two innings. Would’ve liked more offense, but a win is a win. Hoping to sweep the Orioles just like 2014.

I don't know if I should be mad or shocked that Michael King went from a mid reliever for NYY to being the Game 1 starter and having a sub 3 ERA for SD post Juan Soto trade. He had moments of being really nice but I never thought he carried the same stuff after 2 innings, shocked really.

One of my favourite things about baseball is when a little bit of hustle makes all the difference. Jose Iglesias suicide dove to get a single that he had no right getting sparked a 5 run inning tonight that won the Mets the game. LGM
