Someone tell me who the Butcher is?

When AEW was launched five years ago, and particularly the creation of Dynamite, it was one of the most exciting, dynamic times I’ve lived through in the business. What a shame it’s been reduced to this.

Guitarist Andy Williams from Every Time I Die. He has always been a big wrestling fan and he started training sometime in the 2010's. Him and The Blade are both from Buffalo/Rochester area and have been friends for a long time. Blade was a big name in the New York indie scene for like 20 years. He became his full time trainer and they started a tag team together in the indies. Got pretty big pretty quick, and they had the right friends (Eddie Kingston, Brody King, etc) so AEW signed them. The Blade has been married to Allie (The Bunny) since 2013.

Butcher seems to be getting a minor singles push and I assume it is because Blade is hurt or taking time off. He's very outspoken about his mental health struggles and regularly takes breaks from wrestling from what I have read.

It’s absolutely hilarious that the bucks are finally willing to use this as an angle…once punk is gone and there’s no money to be made. Absolute cowards.

I don't blame them for not wanting to get bit.

There would be no cash to made from the Elite fighting Punk in AEW because Punk made everyone he worked look like absolute shit.  He would have buried the angle.

It's funny, Helwauni asked Punk questions, and instead of just saying "I can't discuss that", Punk answers them, and AEW is so shook they had send Edge out to cut a promo about how great AEW is, and now they're going to "release backstage footage from All In".

Best part is he didn't even go scorched Earth on the company, but one would think he did with the damage control they're doing. I guess the truth hurts that bad.😂

The shots HHH and Punk took at Ospreay are what set Tony off in the end, not the Punk comments.  If the Punk comments was all Tony would have moved on.  Seems WWE is not happy they lost Will to AEW after all though.

AEW is now out of the WBD exclusive period as well, so Tony can begin to shop out his shows as he sees fit.

It uses search engine metrics to determine the ‘interest’ in a particular subject at a given point in time.

Btw by no means am I trying to pick on AEW. I was merely illustrating that this insider shit does absolutely nothing to move the needle. Never has, never will. And to suggest that it has caused AEW to be more talked about than WWE on the night of WrestleMania Sunday, well, we all know it’s laughable.

Just a reminder: Ratings, attendance and now social media engagement doesn't matter. Any measure that indicates how poorly this brand is performing is off the table guys.

Who needs to actually watch wrestling when you can just read what others people say and repeat it.

That was said elsewhere.  You guys realize that there are other discussion places for wrestling right?  You make it seem like I make all this shit up when most of the shit I just report from elsewhere.

I'm starting this thread early because once the dust settles from Wrestlemania weekend, this is all anyone here is going to be talking about until Wednesday night.

Shit forgot we had this already up. Looking more and more like the footage will be of FTR at All In, and have nothing to do with Punk or Perry. Tony very cagey about what the footage will be.

None of the official stuff said Punk, wrestling media all said Punk.

I sure hope this HR department has checked the legality of this under GDPR since the data originates in the UK.

Would not apply. Punk worked after the match, so AEW had his consent to use his image throughout the time in which the incident occured.  His contract likely ends any debate on GDPR.
