Yeah I might have been a little off calling it up and down. I do not and will not care about the Mero/Goldberg/Sable/Luna stuff though. I admit Sable is probably the second most over act on the roster but she doesn’t do anything for me - I find most of her segments to be cringe.

Also happy I get my DX with HHH/Pac/NAO and Chyna.

- Road Dogg is one of the more underrated guys ever. He was just missing physique. You give him Billy’s look and he’s a top guy.

- Dan Severn may be a badass but he’s also so damn boring. Go away.

- Chyna is so great as a bodyguard - it’s a shame he progressed to be more and just wasn’t good. Over for sure but beyond that she was just bad.

He’s just so good and natural on the mic and is a good worker, he just never had the body for it. He might have been the main factor in DX getting so over as faces.

UT Had charisma. Had the gift of gab. But was also cursed with a lousy look and no offense. I'm not a fan of his wrestling outside of that little hardcore run he had in early '99. Again, NO OFFENSE! Best part of New Age Outlaws matches (which were usually terrible) was Billy Gunn's hot tag.

I’ll agree on the offense but I also think he could have developed something more had his spot required it or if it made sense.

Billy’s hot tag is fun but I’ll agree to disagree. Road Doggs intros were the best.

Yeah I’d say they are up there , LOD (not this era) and maybe the peak Hardy’s are the two I imagine who’s up there as well.

Speaking of over tag teams or lack there of … Rock N Roll Express getting complete crickets even in the Carolinas is kind of crazy. Tim White was easily most over in that match.

Think he also worked face for a real little while (possibly just a one off vs. the Gangstas?) in SMW. Oh, and he worked babyface during his sporadic ROH appearances for a few years before their fans turned on him. Wasn't he a face commissioner in TNA as well or was that more of a 'neutral' Jack Tunney sort of deal?

ROH wouldn’t count - he’s definitely a face to them.

Interested to check out the 88-89 stuff though just out of curiosity. I just can’t picture it.

Yes those stood out to me when I watched, so interesting how if the heels would stand strong at the end of tv when the cameras cut they did something to send the live crowd home happy with the faces standing tall. I remember seeing a good one with The Rock and Mankind on a 99 episode. I wonder if this was a big element for WWF beating WCW live show wise since I doubt WCW was doing shit like that, probably sending a lot of crowds home pissed off more than anything lol
