That polls means they are tied then, since Trump failed to clear the margin of error.

The most left-wing news in Australia, which is the government funded ABC had the lead story on their 9am bulletin that Biden introduced Zelensky as President Putin at the NATO summit. Yes, he corrected it immediately but talk about the worst possible moment to have a slip up.
Also not great to open your press conference by referring to Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump... Ouch. I must admit that I wouldn't survive 5 minutes as President of the USA, I get word salad sometimes, thinking about too many things at the same time.

Also same poll stats 24% of people think Biden is mentally sharp while 58% think Trump is. Sure debunks the “Trump has dementia too” bullshit C is spewing.

I don't think Blinken plays much Poker:
His biggest reaction was after spending a year trying to thaw out relationships with China after Biden went off script and called hima dictator. They fixed it all... Then Biden did it again:
At the time people tried to justify it, but it was clearly not what they were trying to achieve. It would be an incredibly hard job running around with a mop and bucket after a President who is mostly on script, I cannot imagine the mess he has to clean up after phone calls that aren't televised.

For the record I have always liked Jon Stewart I like John Stewart. Despite often having more socialist views overall, he seems to vote for whoever best represents his values at the time. I tend to do the same. He is also mostly fair in his criticism of either side if it's something he feels should be criticized. Honestly, the Biden thing would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

I know technically the USA is not a strict two-party system, but it seems if there's more people involved we can't handle it. Look at your choices now...ugh. I really wish we had candidates under 70 as well. That's all the energy I have to talk about politics this decade. Good luck to us.

For the record I have always liked Jon Stewart Watch the debate segment if you have not. Resting 25th amendment face is one of the best jokes I heard in a long time. People tend to forget that Stewart would trash both parties when they deserved it. And dems seem intent on throwing this election away so they are gonna get hammered hard over the next four months.

What is most interesting about Stewart is he was a Reagan Republican. Voted Reagan than Bush senior before swapping to Dems since. Not even sure he is a socialist, think he is more a rockefeller republican that no longer has a party. They were fiscally conservative, but socially liberal. These days they are moderate or mainline democrats I imagine.

Also for those interested, longer talk about Biden from John on his podcast with some of the political left podcast crew. He basically doubled down on his views that Biden needs to leave after people complained about it.

But considering Reagan won with the (or one of the) biggest mandates in history, let’s not treat voting for him like it’s a dirty word. He was the last true unifier.

No one voted for Mondale. He only got 13 electoral votes. Dukakis against Bush barely did any better.
Thing with Reagan was even if you did not like the policy, his speeches and debates were so damn good he won people on character. Bush was kind of the same. I did like his Kinder, Gentler America catchphrase. Just genius. Imagine if Perot did not run in 92, he would have gotten a second term. And likely should have, we was a great statesman.
Still remember growing up and how much my uncle hated him, not because he was a conservative, but because he was a capitalist and my uncle Pete believed in Soviet socialism. Pete would shut down all political talk when he started to rally for communism. Thankfully Pete passed before the Ukraine got destroyed, would have broke his heart.
Thing to remember with the Reagan / Bush era republicans is they were really economic republicans. At the time was democrats calling for movies and music to get censored and shit and enforcing family values by law. Clinton effectively killed that side of democrats thankfully, but many democrats hated this shit. Why I voted Bush the first time. Know others that did the same. We did want to potentially see the music we liked banned from stores.

If Biden drops out who would be a good replacement? A senator probably wouldn’t be a good strategic choice since that means giving up a seat in a thin majority. Probably a current governor? Maybe Buttigeg?

It's all a huge work, going back to Obama winning back to back elections, Trump winning and riling everybody up the way he did for 4 years becoming redneck jesus savior to all these marks around here. I can picture a cabinet of shadow government plotting this shit all out like on the Musings Of A Cigarette Smoking Man episode of X-Files. The whole narrative of Biden's tenure the last few years is how bumbling and stupid he is, then this debate performance and all this call for him to step down from running. Trump is going to dominate the polls then guess what, Biden wins the election, every redneck around here will be ready to riot, it's going to be fucking madness. They will come up with another scary name for the next super-flu that pops up and redo the whole Covid scare. Push the buttons, control the people marks, they live we sleep

I'm guessing the shooter missed because it was Biden and he got distracted by a bird or something.

Hope they catch the guy alive and he doesn't do the cowardly thing and off him or herself. The glorification for scum like this is most likely imminent but it's cowardice to bring a gun to a rally with thousands of people. So much could go wrong.
