I finally got around to watching the Arrowverse shows that have premiered this season. Batwoman was decent enough, but man that twist ending with Alice was so predictable. Both The Flash (the best series premiere out of the three) and Supergirl were better. Having said that, I'll give Batwoman the benefit of the doubt being the first episode and all.
Also, Legacies aired its first season two episode, it was alright. I dug the hell out of the season one, so definitely interested in seeing what they do with this second season.
I also just found out that the Scream TV series finally aired its third season (two years after it was first announced), and I completely missed out on it. Given it's October, maybe that was a blessing, as now is the perfect time to watch it, leading up to Halloween.

World on Fire
BBC's World War 2 mini-series, far less a Band of Brothers epic, instead showing the lives of those directly and indirectly impacted by the war. Episode 1, begins with the invasion of Poland as seen through the eyes of an English Translater, and American Journalist ( Helen Hunt ) and after only one episode, it appears they build the tension very well. Could be a real slow burner.
I'm always a little wary of BBC period pieces / adaptions, they have a tendency to be an actual BBC period pieces, instead of the epics they are usually promoted as. Who would have thought?

Mr. Inbetween is such an underrated gem, the main character/actor is continually captivating.
Also, tapped out on Cake, thought it was supposed to be a series of random vignettes (ala Robot Chicken), but aside from an odd couple here and there, it's mostly installments of the same bits, and those bits aren't all that interesting all around, and less so each time.

Really hope Lodge 49 gets a 3rd season, the most "feel good" show on TV, it's utter non-sense, and endless fun.
Side note: Just found out the main actor (also starred in episode of Black Mirror where dude is testing a prototype VR, "Playtest") is Kurt Russel's son, never realized it, but now I can totally see the Kurt Russeliness of his face.

Watchmen
This looks really good, and the first episode has really set the tone. Racial tension is high. Vigilantism is outlawed. There's a lot going on. I've tried my best to watch the movie, it's awful. And could care less about the graphic novel. But this is a supposed 'remix' of the Watchmen universe, so fingers crossed.

But I get how saying that is dangerous, because multiplying any value by zero is still zero.

I’m not really a graphic novel reader but I will follow anything Damon Lindelof writes for television so I was pretty excited for the first episode, which was enjoyable.

Living with Yourself.
Bare with me here. Paul Rudd plays a depressed, burnt out middle-aged guy. Who's marriage is fading and his work performance completely diminished. He gets the hot tip one day about a clinic, a spa that can make you a better person. After attending the spa, Rudd wakes up in a shallow grave, and upon returning home, discovers a clone has taken his place. This clone is better at every thing than the original Paul Rudd, and quickly has a noticeable impact on his wife, family and career.
While the premise sounds as SCI-FI'y as it gets. It explores different themes, love, marriage/relationship, isolation, failure.

So season two of Legacies has Alexis Denisof in it, which is pretty awesome. Actually, I'm really enjoying the second season so far, I didn't care for the first episode, but the last two has been good stuff. So it looks like Josie, will be going down a dark path this season, channeling her inner Dark Willow which is fitting I guess, as they're both witches and I tend to view this show as a mix of Buffy and the X-Men anyway.
Rafael is back in human form as well, thanks to Hope Mikaelson though unfortunately for her, he doesn't remember her either. I was kind of hoping, they would have used Rafael being in wolf form as a loophole, so someone could at least remember Hope but nope.

I’m finishing Goliath Season 3 right now, which is sadly as much of a train wreck as season 2 was, which was sadly as bad as the end of season 1 was. It looked better and the acting is good, but the characters (specifically Billy and Patty) are so wasted in these stories that are too dense for the writers. Vince Gillian used to talk about how on Breaking Bad they would paint themselves in a corner to see how they can get out... these writers can’t get themselves out so they just keep walking back through the paint.
The show is kind of fun with some high spots, but if you haven’t started don’t suffer through the pain.

The Deuce season 3 was pretty good, binged it this week. It felt like end times through the whole season and obviously wound up that way between AIDS, the slowing of the parlors, and the advent of home video pretty well all our characters took the hit.

Started watching Carnival Row, only two episodes in, but it seems decent enough so far. Same, but up to episode 4, solid production all around, not a revelation or must watch as of yet, but does everything well enough. Also, finished "Good Omens," Tennant and Sheen have terrific chemistry, really elevates the whole thing. Very enjoyable adaptation, curious as to season 2, if it happens, as season 1 was the entire book, so it'll be an original sequel.

It’s an easy watch despite the crazy plot, and the whole cloning thing is basically a back story to his marriage and depression and so on. It’s a good show. ... One episode away from being caught up on the latest season of MR ROBOT. I’m really going to miss this show. It’s on the same level as Breaking Bad and The Sopranos for me, but it doesn’t get the same love. Amazing story, amazing actors, very consistent...I’ll be sad when it’s over, but damn am I enjoying the ride.

I just watched Daybreak on Netflix, hadn't seen any hype for this at all. Between this and Sabrina it is like watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time. I felt the series tries to be woke for the sake of it, but it didn't affect my enjoyment, though I did FFW through some of the things like the Sitcom episode.

Daybreak looks pretty interesting, at least going by the preview they show, when you're on a show title. I added it to the list of shows to watch, gotta finish off Carnival Row, play catch up with Watchmen, and start The Boys first though.

BBC's War of the Worlds.
Gezz, the much hyped and greatly anticipated 2019 adaption of the H.G. Wells' 1898 science fiction novel. Not to be confused with the other 2019 American/French adaption.
This version is set in Edwardian Britain, which I am a sucker for.. and wow, what a giant let down. The reviews are right, it could be 2019's biggest dud. Avoid.

I'm watching season 2 of Jack Ryan, I really enjoy it.
I'm a big Tom Clancy fan I read Patriot Games when I was 13. The series isn't a retelling of the books but a modern interpretation of the Characters and environments. I think it captures one of the threads of Clancy's story telling really well but the seasons should be twice as long and also incorporate the wheeling and dealing of the white house. Clancy was always 24 meets West Wing.

My wife watched Daybreak because I wasn’t interested and she said I wouldn’t have liked it. She thought it was ok but more geared towards teenagers and she said she probably wouldn’t watch any new seasons if they make more. It was good background noise for folding laundry, she said.
...
I’m all caught up on Mr Robot and holy shit are they going out with a bang. This might be the best season of the show. Give Sam Esmail whatever he wants if he approaches you with a show idea. Frig.
...
I’m also catching up on Bojack Horseman. I’m like halfway through season 5. I forgot it existed for a while then when the final season was released I figured I should see it through. I’m glad I decided to because the show is still pretty good. I didn’t like season 4 which is why I forgot about it but season 5 is better so far and I’m interested to see how it all ends.

Made my way through "Love, Death, & Robots," which is just a series of shorts, longest being 17 minutes; I'd say none were flat out bad, but only a couple standouts. "Sonnie's Edge" would be my top pick.

I finished season 5 of Bojack Horseman and it's probably my favourite season of the bunch. The overall stories of the season (Bojack's new show, Diane & Mr Peanut Butter, CEO Todd and his Sex Robot) were all good, and didn't feel forced or drawn out like other story arcs have in the past. And there were plenty of funny moments to keep the show from getting too heavy. The episode where Bojack is giving the eulogy made me laugh so fucking hard at the end. What a pay off.
Anyway, guess I got the final season to watch now but we just got Disney+ today so it's anyone's guess when I'll get around to watching it.

Been smashing through as much of Amazon Prime as I can in a month. Absolutely loved The Boys, probably my favourite new show since Stranger Things. I just thought everything about this was spot on, the story was enjoyable with just the right amount of twists and turns, the acting was surprisingly good for something in this genre (as RagnarokMike said, Homelander is absolutely on point) and it was funny and graphic and tongue in cheek all the right amounts. Given the amount of comic book fans we've got on here I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about more?
