Not a good look for the line and ESPECIALLY not a good look for the offensive line coach. I missed this in the offseason but the guy's last two jobs were at the Colts getting Luck knocked down more than basically any other QB in the league, and then one season for the Browns before they moved him on. Not exactly great pedigree. I understand he's not working with blue chip players, but as you say the main problem tonight was on organisation/communication rather than any 1v1 issues. It was a complete disaster.

That game yesterday was so frustrating for the Packers , we had so many opportunities to win and put them away and just didn't. A combination of bad coaching , poor officiating and lack of any execution just spoiled that chance. I don't understand McCarthy throwing it twice in the redzone and stopping the clock - allowing Minnesota to keep both their timeouts for the final drive. At the very least had we made them use one of them , they wouldn't have had the chance to ice Crosby and his initial kick went in.
Encouraging though that Rodgers played really well throughout the game , he was moving the ball quite fluidly against what is supposed to be the best defense in the NFL and the offensive line played good for the most part. The defense played a good game for about 3 and 1/2 quarters as well - but they were spent on that last drive in the 4th and to their credit - they actually did stop the Vikings before the roughing call. They also dropped two other interceptions that would have ended the game.
The touchdown to Thielen that ended up tying the game was just impossible to defend and bad luck.
I'm still encouraged by this team , it'll be interesting in Washington next week against a team that isn't going to make a lot of mistakes and has Thompson (who will kill us) but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

Tonight the Bears get to see if they’re any good and if they can bounce back from heartache. Trubisky is looking like a complete bust to me no matter what the Bears and analyst try and tell me. He needs to be a QB and not a bum. I want to see him utilize Burton and Robinson today. If I’m going to sit here and watch that defense keep it close for 3 1/2 quarters in a low scoring game only to see Russell Wilson pull an Aaron Rodgers in the 4th and will them for a GW TD then I’m putting all the blame on Mitch.
I picked the Bears to win, but I’m finding it hard to believe that Russell Wilson starts the season off 0-2 even though I picked the Seahawks to suck ass this year.

Well the Bills didn't get annihilated, which is a nice sign. Josh Allen looked about as anyone could have expected. He had a few bright spots and showed off his arm a little, but his accuracy is still not good and his awareness needs work. Awareness comes with time and experience, but the accuracy part worries me. He missed some absolute gifts throughout the game that might have changed the pace enough to give the Bills a chance.
Also didn't help that the defense didn't show up until the 2nd half. Asking any rookie QB to come back from over 20 pts down at the half is a big ask, but he tried his damndest. Ah well.
Excited for the Seattle/Chicago game tonight. Should be a good one.

Also love that the jags reverted to their old helmets/unis, would like to see a few other teams follow suit leave all that cute college football shit in the minors.

WELL.... .... Josh Gordon is now officially a member of the New England Patriots. This always seemed like one of those things that was destined to happen. The Pats have kicked the tyres on basically every veteran receiver available and most of them are off the roster, but eventually someone's going to be the new Randy Moss.

Nagy is a opening possession king - second straight week with a long drive touchdown. Will be interesting to see if they can avoid the second half stall once the scripted plays are used up.

Seahawks very reminiscent of the Giants really, new OC and "retooled" o-line but the same old dysfunctional offence.

Mitch needs to play with his head up more. He reminds me of me and my friends playing football back in the day and that one kid who runs everything after his 1st look don't look good instead of looking around the field.

Maybe Trubisky should just play the first drive and then come out, kinda like a reverse closer.
Imagine trading Khalil Mack.

Has there been worse offence on SNF/MNF in a week before? Enduring some true ineptitude here.

Bears got hosed on that sack, not sure how the refs missed that offside.
100 PW bucks that Seattle go 3 and out here.

There's a lot of poor offensive lines in the NFL. It's crazy. I blame the Cowboys for taking all the good ones.

That's game over, no way Seattle are scoring twice. Seahawks defence has done a decent job but they were always going to struggle down the stretch having been on the field so long.

Tessitore really jinxed Wilson with that "Mr. Fourth Quarter" call. Pick-six followed by a lost fumble.
Bears defence is really legit.

Seattle has an even worse offensive line than the Giants do, and THAT is saying something. The Giants line at least isn't getting dominated physically, their problems are all communication and scheme orientated.
Seattle line just plain sucks, no one on that line can hold their own, they are a defensive lineman's wet dream, the by product of John Schneider neglecting the Hawks O-line year in and year out. Honestly he should have been fired by now, he's wasted a good 3 years of Russell Wilson's career already.

That's just as good of a question as "Why did the Browns NOT sign Dan Bailey?" He turned them down. I guess I don't blame him. For him, I'm sure he'd rather play in Canada than play in Cleveland. Although Minnesota's not that far off.

I don’t blame Dan. He wants to be a part of a winning team that can realistically compete for a Super Bowl. He doesn’t want the negative vibe of Cleveland. However, crazy things happen to kickers in Minnesota. Although he’s the 2nd most accurate kicker ever, it don’t mean anything in that purple uniform. Ask Mr. Anderson.

Seahawks gave up a bunch of sacks last night but as far as I could tell from the highlight video none of them came from Duane Brown's side of the line, he dominated Mack when the Texans played the Raiders in that playoff game a few years ago. Really pisses me off that the Texans wouldn't get him signed now the line is a fucking dumpster fire and we need a left tackle desperately.
Also really bothers me that we don't even have a fullback on the roster at all, when we did he was never used. That's just not football man, I miss Vonta Leach(Leech?), hell I miss Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips, this team has pissed everything away over the last 5 years when they were just a few moves away from being a real contender, I'm pretty sure I've figured out the source of my hairline drawing back up my fucking forehead.
