Almost no team carries a fullback anymore, the run game has been too devalued today. Your running backs have to be pass catchers now and there isn't much sense in committing to a lead blocker in the backfield.
All of the pussy rules protecting QB's now don't help matters either. It's simply much easier now to make your QB the focal point.

That's nuts, Mike Alstott, Lorenzo Neal, Moose Johnston, Tom Rathman, that's football, big 260 pound motherfuckers pounding the rock on 4th and 1 that's football, wide receiver screens take that shit back to Penn State. Seriously, I was watching some Arian Foster highlights recently and Vonta Leach was a fucking beast, practically carried Foster on his back to all those yards, highly underrated fullback right there. A big fullback like him is exactly what is missing from our running game.

Seahawks gave up a bunch of sacks last night but as far as I could tell from the highlight video none of them came from Duane Brown's side of the line, he dominated Mack when the Texans played the Raiders in that playoff game a few years ago. Really pisses me off that the Texans wouldn't get him signed now the line is a fucking dumpster fire and we need a left tackle desperately. Also really bothers me that we don't even have a fullback on the roster at all, when we did he was never used. That's just not football man, I miss Vonta Leach(Leech?), hell I miss Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips, this team has pissed everything away over the last 5 years when they were just a few moves away from being a real contender, I'm pretty sure I've figured out the source of my hairline drawing back up my fucking forehead. Lmao. The Texans need an O-Line like many teams do. A new RB wouldn’t hurt either, but it might be unfair to blame Lamar when the O-Line is weak.

I thought it was interesting that Mack lined up at RDE quite a bit last night to go against Brown when (I believe) he usually plays predominantly on the left side. He did get his strip sack coming from the other side against Ifedi so it may just have been a scheme idea to go strength vs strength and allow Akeem Hicks etc. to go against the weaker Seahawks linemen. I do disagree with the idea that Seattle have neglected their o-line problem. They invested a first round pick in 2016, a second round pick in 2017, and made the trade for Brown in the middle of last season. Perhaps they could have gone with another lineman in the draft this year rather than picking Penny, but it's not like they haven't been trying to improve things.

Barkley, CMC and Thompson had extraordinary games with yards, but t all came to the passing. Lamar is trash.

I've got nothing bad to say about Miller, he's played well, just think he would be even better with a bruiser out front like what Foster had with Leach.
