17 scored and 28 conceded in their last 19 games. United are abysmal. Chelsea are at least young and have a go, as do Arsenal. United aren't worth the price of admission.

Problems all the way through the club, they seem rotten to the core. Starting with the squad, there is a serious lack of top quality players all over the pitch. Defence is still shaky, the midfield has no creativity, their strikers aren't going to get you goals on a regular enough basis, they have a lack of pace in the side (James and Rashford aside) they are slow and ponderous in possession and have little work ethic.
I grew up watching Ferguson build 3 great sides. The 1994 side, the 1999 side and the 2008 side. All three had a solid backline, a creative player with a license to create, they had pace and power and they worked so hard for each other. None of those characteristics are in this side.
They have a manager who they appointed on the back of one great (yet lucky) result in Paris, and a decent run of wins against sides they should have beaten anyway. Their form since is horrific. As nice a guy as OGS is, he has zero credentials for the job he has. Taking Cardiff down and winning the Norwegian league is no experience to try and revive the fortunes of one of the world's biggest clubs.

Don't want to sound like too much of a broken record but boy United vs Arsenal was a depressing watch. The footballing equivalent of Undertaker vs Goldberg. Arsenal playing three defensive midfielders against a team that's scored six goals in their previous seven games, Man United playing with a striker who can't make a run in the box and a #10 who hasn't been involved in a goal since 2018 - pathetic.

Something really isn't right at Spurs (stop laughing Todd ) In the past week they've been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Colchester, and tonight they've had 7 stuck past them by Bayern. Now as devastating as Bayern were, Tottenham were abysmal at times at the back. Aurier is an absolute clown. This side made the Champions League final five months ago, and now they're getting 7 stuck past them at home. Poch looks deeply unhappy, and like he wants out. And now twitter rumours flying around about the cause of Vertonghen's black eye being because of an affair he's been having with Eriksen's wife, causing a huge dressing room split. Poch will be gone by the summer at the latest, wouldn't be surprised if he has left by Christmas.

Everyone would have been much happier if United hadn't appointed Ole permanent manager for no reason at all before the end of last season and hired Pochettino instead. United would have a manager with the track record of being able to implement a multi-year improvement plan, Spurs could have rebooted instead of trying to hold on to a project which has apparently reached the end of it's lifecycle, and players like Eriksen who clearly wanted out could have moved on.

Just got home after an amazing day out at the Etihad. We have had some amazing moments over the last 2 years, but this tops the lot for me. What's more is we totally deserved it. We could/should have been 2-0 up early, missed a couple of clear chances. The atmosphere was amazing, and the stand was rocking after both goals. I love this team!

Hope everything's ok thechoke! Where were you two this week Todd and daveymolz?! VAR reached a new low today with the Arsenal disallowed goal and the first Man United penalty. On a more positive note there was some absolutely sensational goalkeeping with Krul saving two penalties and Gazzaniga doing his best to keep Liverpool at bay. Ah, my old man passed away. Been going back and forth for a few weeks as he wasn’t well but never were we told how serious it was until near the end, though I don’t think the hospital quite knew either.

Sorry to hear that thechoke, thoughts are with you. They seem to have flipped VAR completely on it's head in regards to giving penalties except they are now giving penalties that aren't, as opposed to not giving stonewall penalties. The penalty at Brighton was a joke, United's two penalties were soft, we didn't get one at the end of our game when the Newcastle player almost ripped Doherty's shirt off his back. The system could work well, but the people using it aren't doing it well/properly and there is no consistency

Starting to see the top four really separate themselves from the pack now with Arsenal winless in their last three, and it's hard to see that changing next week considering how good Leicester have been. They've become my go to team to watch recently because Rodgers has them absolutely firing. Hard to believe that Man United didn't think Tielemans was worth signing when you see how limited they are in comparison.
Sheffield United and Brighton are really surprising - and I think a real endorsement of a "new" generation of managers rather than the same old firefighter types going from club to club. What Chris Wilder has done is absolutely incredible really.

Entertainment galore in Europe this midweek - and I chose the right matches to watch for a change. Chelsea vs Ajax was absolutely incredible, a little bit reminiscent of City vs Spurs from last season with the early goals and the sheer openness of the game from start to finish. A real pleasure to watch. City vs Atalanta was dramatic in quite a different way. I'm not sure whether City's recent stumbles are solely due to their injury problems or whether there is a slightly more significant mentality issue. Man United cruised to an easy victory over Partizan in what was probably their best performance since the opening day of the season, had their finishing been better it could have easily been an even bigger win, but their opponents were rather poor and constantly turned the ball over in dangerous positions. United are clearly much more dangerous with Martial back available again, they desperately need him to stay fit for the rest of the season to have any chance of improving their midtable position.
Premier League Week 12 Friday Norwich vs Watford
Saturday Chelsea vs Palace Burnley vs West Ham Newcastle vs Bournemouth Southampton vs Everton Spurs vs Sheffield Utd Leicester vs Arsenal
Sunday Man Utd vs Brighton Wolves vs Villa Liverpool vs Man City

Big news today with Pochettino leaving Spurs. It had felt in the cards for a while but it's still pretty remarkable how quickly things unravelled there. Mourinho is the favourite to take over which would be a complete disaster in my opinion, bringing Mr Toxic himself into a dressing room which apparently already has a lot of problems.
