Ifall the european leagues are playing in front of empty stadiums; why are they even bothering to travel to the different stadiums. Wouldn't it be easier to isolate the players if they just chose one or two cities and played out of a couple stadiums?

Wouldn't it be easier to isolate the players if they just chose one or two cities and played out of a couple stadiums? It was considered but a lot of the teams, particularly those fighting against relegation, didn’t want to lose what was left of home field advantage.

Considering how PW was always the most anti-Liverpool of forums back when The Beautiful Game was active, it’s sad there’s not really anyone around to gloat to. Suck it Froggy!

I'm sure most Liverpool fans don't really care but it really couldn't have been a more anti-climactic ending. Somewhat ironic that this epic storyline that has existed and built over the years of this huge anticipation finished in front of no crowds and on a day they didn't even play. That will be forgotten in history though, and this team will be remembered as a really dominating force, likely to achieve the biggest points margin ever.

I really wasn't sure how I would feel. I was booked to go over for the open-top bus parade before Corona hit and was genuinely getting more and more emotional the more it became clear we were going to do it. Then when Lockdown came in, everyone was placed into perspective and football just didn't matter. I actually really thought City would have won last night, so the whole thing kind of caught me off guard. It still felt incredible and seeing how emotional Jurgen and Jordan got in their interviews - and watching with my Dad - it all still felt very special. And of course it will be wonderful to see Sterling have to give us a guard of honour. The Liverpool/City rivalry very much feels like a super-competitive rivalry with very little real animosity, apart from Sterling who exposes himself every time he opens his mouth.

I was 7 when we last won the league so had no concept of anything. I just remember that following Christmas I got the 89-90 season on Video and watched it religiously, wanting to be John Barnes (both of us lefties). Since then there have definitely been some good days but also a fair bit of crap.
Today I am just smiling.

The best part is that there's basically no offseason with the end of the European competitions coming up next.

It was good fun, thanks for doing all the maths and keeping it going, even as we lost a few through the season.
I’ll be back ready to go from 12th September
The Champions League format should be fun, I wonder whether Bayern will be a little undercooked given when their season finished...

Bayern's gonna win the whole thing, phonzie gonna win the champions league. That likely semi final with Man City is going to be a big one, but I’d have to say Munich look more defensively reliable than them so I’d bet would come out on top. They absolutely tore us to shreds over 2 legs, no excuses, they’re a team who despite rebuilding after Robben and Ribery have left still dominate as the spine of the team, Neuer, Boetang, Kimmich, Muller, Lewandowski are all still firing. Atletico should get past a Wernerless Leipzig and you’d expect PSG to get past Atalanta, City have a walk over with Lyon in context of who they could have got and Barca v Munich will be tight but with all the bad atmosphere there it wouldn’t shock me if Barca fell apart, setting up PSG v Atletico Bayern v City There’s not really a bad final to be had there.

I love how ruthless Bayern are, they don’t just play out the game when they have it won, they keep going for more goals.
Davies run for the fifth goal was magnificent. Absolutely destroyed Semedo.
