Finally watched Kamille's debut match and interview. She displayed good meanness and heel instincts in the match, while I thought the interview did a good job of giving her a backstory and explaining her motivations. Thunder Rosa vs. Kamille for the NWA Women's Championship with a few months build should be a big money match for them provided the world ever gets back to normal.

Ah, shit... Baker-man & @admin, my confidence in 8pm tonight is starting to become a bit shaken. I might have to catch-up independently later unless we want to push to tomorrow evening possibly? Although, there's a chance I could multitask off my phone while working out tonight.

Feels kinda silly to be talking about this stuff while the promotion effectively doesn't exist, but I was a bit disappointed to read today that Ricky Starks' contract has expired and won't be renewed. I could definitely see him catching on somewhere like Impact or AEW but he was a really good fit for the NWA vibe, and one of the very few guys on the roster that I could actually see in a title feud with Aldis.

Damn. I missed that. Bad news for the NWA. I'm with you on this one. Thought they were doing a good job of building Starks up as a future Aldis PPV opponent. The kid definitely has a future in this business if things ever get back to normal. I had long thought Starks and Thunder Rosa were the most NXT ready talents on the roster, for example.

So Carnyland is 30 mins of the silly ad break skits from Powerrr - and I'm perfectly OK with that. Good on them for being creative and still trying to build their characters when they can't run usual shows.

Particular highlights from episode one were Allysin's generic promo class, Mongrovia Unmasked (1.2 million Mongroves well spent!) and Entice Zicky Dice ("I was promised an 8 so I think we've both been lied to" :lol:)

Just more Carnyland until they can start filming in Georgia again. Slick Nick and Eli Drake are also hosting podcast/interview shows.

Finally got around to watching Carnyland. Some segments were glorious. Others missed the mark. Ben Franklin was the star of the show imo. NWA will be posting new content every weekday. I won't be keeping up with everything but will try to catch Slick Nick's show on Mondays.

I think Eli won episode 2. I wouldn't mind seeing French/German/Russian dog groomer Pierre Le Pew become a permanent alter ego fixture, Josephus/Question Mark style.

Thoughts on this from Slick Nick Baker & 🤯? I think this would be great:

I'm glad @admin is still keeping up with Powerrr. Hate to say it but my interest (in all wrestling) has waned since the Corona pandemic broke out. Chances are I'll just get in the mood again one day and binge watch a bunch of the stuff I've been missing.

Tbh I'm not terribly familiar with Curtis Axel but if he has Slick Nick's seal of approval that means he's cool with me. He also seems to fit the NWA style from the admittedly little I've seen.

I do think it's stupid that WWE never capitalized on Axel being the son of Mr. Perfect.

Reforming the Meta Powerrrs in NWA Powerrr would be all too fittingly epic.

This team completely past me by, must have been during one of the periods when I was paying no attention to WWE. Wouldn't be the worst idea at all, I love Stevens in his current role, but he's probably one of the guys on the roster who could transition into a more legitimate title contender. Stevens & Hennig vs Strictly Business could be a really good feud (and a lot more believable than RNRX).
