I think it's definitely disappointing that there have only been a handful of NFL players coming out to criticise this, Jackson has doubled down on his stance and has received support from some other players like Marquise Goodwin. Guys like Malcolm Jenkins who were very passionate about what Brees said and the idea that silence = violence should be on the front foot here as well. One of the really positive things about the recent wave of protests is how we've seen a lot of unity across racial lines behind the cause of ending inequality. Jackson is doing the complete opposite of that by being anti-Semitic and then claiming he doesn't need to apologise because he's a black man and therefore is somehow immune from being racist himself. Ex NBA player Stephen Jackson even commended him and guys like Jameis Winston & Kevin Durant thumb upped the post by Desean. I don't get it. Is it because some black people believe they are the true descendants as Israelite's? Nobody is going to go after DeSean for attacking the Jewish community because they don’t give a fuck about the Jewish community. They want to keep the attention on BLM and there’s no such thing as racism against white people. Isn’t that painfully obvious by now or are we all going to pretend it’s not? I’m surprised to learn Edelman is Jewish and he had a message for DeSean that ended with him inviting Desean to a Holocaust museum. Then Schwartz said some PC stuff to DeSean and of course had to add that the attack on the Jewish people shouldn’t take away from the BLM movement. It’s crazy. White people have no back bones lately. It’s embarrassing. But if we defend our race, then we are deemed racist. It makes no sense that people allow this shit to keep going on. You want to talk about equality but actually be completely against it as you defend it. Chris Long said it best. DeSean saying that is a fucking disaster.

Current injuries don't matter in this though? Unless he retires? I feel bad for him, he had the feel good story of being a mental health advocate and he had vomiting, panic attacks during or prior to games, imagine how great he'd be without any of that? Awful injury. Makes me think Philly gets Peters signed asap even if he is a tackle, just for stability sake. Yes, no impact on the draft - I was just being flippant. It's the second time he's torn his Achilles too, and this one is the other side to when it happened in the playoffs two seasons ago. I agree this probably increases the likelihood they'll sign Peters, and everyone's connecting the dots to Larry Warford as well. And the Eagles officially do so. The man is playing past 40 years old in all likelihood folks, unreal.

A couple of big contracts signed today. Myles Garrett five years at $25 per year which is the highest AAV among defensive players and Chris Jones slots in behind third with four years at $21.25 per year.
No deal between the Cowboys and Dak who will play on the franchise tag at $31.4 million and may well end up as the new Kirk Cousins.

Only tagged player to sign a "long term deal" before the deadline is Derrick Henry who essentially added one year $15 million on top of this years tag. I think Tennessee are one of the most interesting teams heading into the season (if there is one) to see if they can continue to be the offensive powerhouse they were from when Tannehill took over as the starter, or if they regress.

www.cnn.com/2020/07/22/politics/woody-johnson-oig-report/index.htmlMy biggest fear was Woody Johnson, maybe the worst owner in NY sports(Which is amazing given we have James Dolan & the Wilpons running amok) coming right on back to ruin this team if Trump were to lose and Woody would lose his standing as the "UK Ambassador"......now it's over! Keep Woody the fuck away from this team and let his younger brother run the show! We are on the right track!

It's sad but rich white friend of Trump saying sexist and racist things can hardly be considered news, let alone one who has two names that are synonyms for penis.

He's denying it but between the photo with Epstein's girl pal and his noted neglect of his daughter due to her sexuality and inner demons, I just don't know. This isn't even getting into the whole "Johnson & Johnson is considered harmful to babies" thing too. Just let Chris Johnson run the team, he has some resemblance of the player's today's thoughts and seems to let Joe Douglas just do his thing without any meddling.

EDIT: Just listening to a podcast and learned about the link between Leon Hess and Bill Belichick - how different things could have been!

Jets trading Jamal Adams and a 2022 4th round pick to the Seahawks for a 2021 and 2022 first round pick, a 2021 third round pick and safety Bradley McDougald.
Wow.
The Jets got a lot for him, but this is big for Seattle too. The Boom got a future.

Jets play Seattle this year if football happens and I know he will just run his mouth all over the place. He's an awesome player and so versatile just he's such a fucking headache and I am so happy with the returns even if they are late 1's. I know 49er fans are pissed but this is a good move. Guy clearly wanted out and would just bitch and bitch about not getting his contract. In about 5 years when he matures he will be amazing but right now, he's such an emotional mess. Tweeting upset the Jets aren't doing anything on Day 1 of FA, things like that are ridiculous. We don't need a locker room divider. We got more than Jalen Ramsey got the Jags I believe. Or Minkah Fitzpatrick for the Dolphins. I am really happy about this deal. Seattle got themselves a heck of a player no doubt. We get it, the Jets sucked but it got to the point he was bitching at Gase and Douglas because they're such easy targets. What a miserable player off the field, good leader and heck of a talent on it.

If Seattle can reel in guys like Sherman long enough to win a Super Bowl, I think they’ll be ok with this. The really just need to rename this team the Seattle Secondaries. It’s always their bread and butter. Well, and Russell Wilson.

They got lucky on a 5th round pick for Sherman, sooner or later the draft pick trading is catching up to them but I get it, Jamal Adams like the bitch he is won't yell for a new deal until 2-3 years and they have Wilson on a mega deal and need to win now. I somehow may dislike Jamal Adams as much as I did with Revis who lost me when joining with the Pats, winning them a title and then robbing(yes robbing) the Jets of their money on the 2nd stint.

The Seahawks are doing the right thing trading all those first round picks for Adams. They know Adams can be the future of this defense and he will be. As long as they got Russ, they're going to be good on offense. We all know he's made an average offense look great. If they can continue to build a great defense as well, then the Seahawks will be running that division for years to come. They need to stay ready with the new look 49ers and the up and coming Cardinals who made major noise in that division by getting Hopkins to pair him up with Kyler Murray. Then there's the Rams who have a bright Head Coach, but seem to be stuck in a weird I don't know if you call it 'rebuild' but a 'restructuring of the team' phase right now. This is a huge move by them to keep up with that division. I don't know if there's any division as stacked as the NFC West coming into this season. It works out for the Jets too as they can continue to try and get it right in the draft. It's a shame they're still not ready. Maybe when Bill Belicheck retires, they'll finally have all the pieces. I don't get them, though. They still have no real WR on that team and could've tried to get Hopkins or some shit. Dummies. Hopefully the Bills take the division this year so I can make money and RT can be happy.

They're hoping Mims can be something and hope Perriman builds off his monster final couple of games. Also hoping for a Herndon bounceback after his year was lost from DUI suspension and injury in year 2 after leading all NFL rookie TE in yardage back in 2018.
Adams is a really good player but he isn't a pass rusher(He can blitz though) or a cornerback, he is a strong safety who can do a whole bunch. He isn't worth the time, headache or mega deal he will get. Seattle can enjoy that. If Darnold steps up and plays like we all expect him to do, we have to get him inked very soon because I believe in the man.

Jamal Adams dancing with a cigar on Instagram over the news tells you all you need to know. Media attention near mid 20 something year old millennial who is a great player on the field but thinks he's an upper echelon type of talent based off fan hype(Which I did in the past) and his camp pampering him that he's a once in a decade player. As LeVeon Bell said, he believes the hype over the web and is so immature and irrational. Love seeing CJ Mosely, Alex Lewis, LeVeon Bell and Sam Darnold speak up for their HC and not fall into this locker room division BS over a contract. Gase is an easy target, Adams camp just went for an easy hit to the mainstream puppet sports media. Going to one of the worst beat writers today in Manish Mehta was the final seal for Jet fans on Adams, he fucked up with that one. Awful advice by his camp going to a agenda driven fool who did a 180 on Gase and hates that he forced out his top internal source(McCagnnan).
Guys like Frank Gore lead by example and let their resume speak for themselves, guys like Jamal Adams can go "RAH-RAH" and pump their chest loud enough so everybody can here. We got better leadership this year no doubt. Happy about MacDougald over here, seems like a consistent player who may not be as versatile but is a qualify safety in pass coverage. And the draft picks even if they aren't so high(Never know) are an added bonus, say Russell Wilson gets hurt due to his suspect O-Line then they got the ultimate Jet Geno Smith in relief. And it's still run by one of the worst OCs in the game today who will run the ball 30X despite having a top 5 QB in the game today.
I said it in the draft but I really feel good about Joe Douglas. Gase is irrelevant here, but the hate gets to a point that it's hyperbole by Jet fans and I want him to succeed to Sam Darnold isn't given a 3rd OC in 5 years. Love Douglas approach, the trade downs he did in April were masterful and this trade is selling high on a great, great talent but a headache who has shown he cannot transform a bad team and will be happy on a better squad. Adams 5 years when he matures will be awesome and will look back at this and shake his head, he blew it and could have been apart of a potential turnaround for an NFL franchise hungry for success.

I really think Adams is going to flourish in Seattle. I didn’t know much about him before this trade but everything I’ve seen of him and the way you guys describe him makes me think he’s going to fit right in.
Seattle encourages hyped up defence and flashy players. They have the loudest building in the league for a reason. They love that shit.

Seattle encourages hyped up defence and flashy players. They have the loudest building in the league for a reason. They love that shit. He's great, a top safety and is great in Seattle. I know why they did it, they can't draft worth a shit and often trade down and try and go for quantity over quality. They have hit a few day 2/3 picks like Russ Wilson, Bobby Wagner and Sherman that they lucked out on but they haven't been as good drafting. DK Metcalf is another 2nd round steal. Been a while since they hit a good 1st round pick, maybe Earl Thomas? I love it for the Jets, Adams showed he can't single handedly win games for the Jets. Not a player you want when rebuilding and retooling, perfect player for a title contender. His attitude away from the field is worrisome though, not a troublemaker but seems like a nightmare to deal with. KINDA reminds me of Porzingis for the Knicks, everything checks except the off the field stuff and his brother being some Scott Boras wannabe and wanting more power in the organization based off his talented brother. Seems like Adams dad, ex NFL TE George Adams is a real winner, reminds me of Revis Uncle who insisted he would be in every single convo about contracts. Porzingis refused to discuss long term implications as he was letdown by the Knicks lack of winning, which is understandable except he would then decide to get upset that Phil Jackson was shopping him and really thought he was someone you don't ever, ever trade. Adams and Porzingis are like brothers from another mother. Both can get the fuck off my team with their politicking behind the scenes and be 2nd/3rd fiddle in their new teams, roles that they quite frankly belong to. Just like Seattle is Russell Wilson's side, Mavericks go as far as Doncic takes them.

I love how trading has come (back) into fashion in the NFL. People can complain about good players on bad teams downing tools and wanting out all they like but it's definitely made for more entertainment.
This is another one of those trades where everyone looks like a winner on paper. Adams goes to a contender, Seattle go a long way to reestablishing their identity with the perfect chesspiece player for their defence who is also an ideal fit for stopping their division rivals strengths, and the Jets get a (probably overvalued) huge haul to help them plug some of their many holes, get rid of a headache, and Joe Douglas looks like a boss GM for holding out rather than taking some of the earlier smaller offers that teams like Dallas supposedly offered.

Jamal Adams and Antonio Brown on the same team, holy shit make it happen. Two absolute nutjobs. As a fan of the team that owns your two 1st's for the next 2 years and a 3rd rounder this upcoming draft, give Antonio Brown Brian Schottenheimer. Dear god do it you bastards!
