Unless you live in Saskatchewan because for some reason the government there decided to request like 11 million of them back when you could get as many as you wanted and nobody else wanted any. Literally the only smart thing they've done this entire pandemic.

Speaking of, I saw a graphic on the weekend that I can't find now, but someone collected the data for needless deaths due to COVID per 1 million people (I forget the exact word they used, basically deaths that didn't have to happen per 1 million) and Saskatchewan is right up there with Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and other countries that basically threw up their hands and didn't do anything about COVID. And they were ahead of the United States by quite a bit.

Canada as a whole was very low on the list, and I think Ontario was just ahead of where Canada was. SK really just didn't do anything at all and nobody seems to be talking about it.

I am shocked Alberta did anything as SK and AB are home to the most rednecks in Canada I would think.

I certainly never thought it.  You read about the Spanish Flu and the The Plague, but think 'we have technology now, that will never happen to us', but we aren't immune so long as viruses keep mutating to survive faster than us. 

The whole omicron is not very lethal is not proving accurate in the US. Deaths are still ramping up from it. Daily deaths surpassed the alpha outbreak and should match the delta outbreak by next week. On par to breaking a million deaths by the end of this outbreak.

Same deal as delta, mostly killing conservatives at this point who believe firmly that the vaccine is what is killing people not COVID.

For those of you who caught the Cron and were vaccinated, can you tell me what your first symptoms were. I think I am either coming down with a flu or I caught the Rona. I feel like a bobble head and I've got the chills something fierce. I just can't get warm. I'm hoping it's just a flu cause ain't nobody got time to be sick. I just feel like I got hit by a semi.

I don't know how I would catch anything.  I don't go anywhere.  All I do is work and sometimes sleep. 

Sore throat was mine. From what I hear it is the losing taste symptom for Cron.

Your reported symptoms match exactly what I had with Omicron. Never got a saw throat either time no cough with alpha, but a slight cough with Omicron. Both times the main symptom was fatigue, alpha also had diarrhoea and conjunctivitis.
I was laid out for two days with Omicron but was about two to three weeks before I got my old energy back and I'm not quite yet at 100%

Anyone know the closest interval between the same person contracting covid twice? I feel lousy last two days but I'm not testing because I can't fit covid into my schedule right now.

Well whatever this is both mom and I are down with it. Can't find any of those home tests here if our life depending on it. We're going to quarantine for 5 days or until our symptoms disappear whichever comes first. There are colds and flus going around right now too so hard to know as Omicron seems to mirror those. I feel like my head is an orange on a toothpick. My throat is a bit sore today, but it's the chills and fatigue that are kicking my ass.

Fast review I did not see any read flags but will need to read it in depth later. It is a meta-analysis though so easily challenged if you try funky shit.

Overall results were a 3% reduction in COVID mortality for the strongest stay at home orders.

Many of my sites are working at half capacity because so many are off with COVID. One of my guys just got back after 2 weeks and says he goes up the stairs and is winded still after 2 weeks. Non smoker, gym rat type.

Before we sent our kids back to school I emailed their teachers. Asked what attendance was like. Both responses were basically “we can’t tell you who is away for what reason, but our attendance has been under 50% so take that how you will.”

We’re understaffed at work and have been every week since Christmas. As far as I know I haven’t caught it yet but I’ve been off sick twice.

We’re all fucked and our government has finally given up. I’m this close to siding with the racist truckers. I can’t do this anymore. U-S-A! U-S-A!
