I had Zoolander at 4 and Waterboy at 5. Come at me, bitches. Zoolander ahead of Waterboy? You clearly have something wrong with your medulla oblongata.

Wedding Singer is fine , certainly not worthy of being #4 overall in this countdown , nor did it even make my Top 15 but it's... fine. Has some good laughs and chemistry with the leads and is a good kind of sappy for these movies.
The best thing to come out of it though is Somebody Kill Me Please - best part of the movie by a mile IMO. That alone almost got it to my #10.

Had it @ 6. Was expecting top 10 at least for it. This is one of those one and done films for me, ones I really liked originally but never one I ever find a reason to revisit. The complete opposite of an assplanter I guess.

The Wedding Singer was my Number 3. It's one of my go-to happy movies whenever I need a pick me up. It's a ridiculous, silly romance but with the best cameo from Billy Idol, of all people.
I love the 80's setting, the casting is perfect and for me this is Sandler and Barrymore's best picture together. She is ridiculously charming, the scene where she's trying on her wedding dress and laughing and crying at the same time always gets me. Sandler angry singing is just brilliant too. I love this movie so much.

Going to be really surprised if any Stiller movies make the top 3 unless I’m blanking on any huge movies he was in.

The Wedding Singer was my number 1 pick. It’s my favourite Sandler movie for so many reasons. 1) Solid storyline 2) Amazing chemistry between the cast. I mean Adam and Drew together was amazing and they continue to show how great of a bond they have. 3) Sandler singing - I mean it’s amazing, especially his songs. I wanna grow old with you is super sweet. 4) Billy Idol cameo 5) The quotes! My personal favourites ‘hey Aunt Linda, you a bitch’ and ‘you could’ve brought that to my attention yesterday’. 6) it’s a great mixture of genres. It isn’t too over the top funny, and it isn’t too lovey dovey 7) and the main reason I loved it so much when I was younger - taught you never to settle for a relationship just because it’s convenient or expected of you.
Honestly I love this movie so much. I’m glad it made it so high!

I think some of you need to see a specialist. Psychological or neurological.
Wedding Singer was my #1. Maybe it’s because I grew up in the 80’s and got all the references and maybe it’s because the soundtrack was amazing or maybe it’s the magic between Drew and Adam. This is one of my ass planters and you’ve sent list so you know it’s in rare company.
EDIT: All the women get it.

I stuck it at 9 on my list because I was running out of movies I liked. I only did a top 10.
EDIT: I will say, I still use “best man? Pfff....BETTER MAN!” on a regular basis.

Going to be really surprised if any Stiller movies make the top 3 unless I’m blanking on any huge movies he was in. The only classic Sandler comedy left is Gilmore and it only featured highly on my list because of Stiller's role in the film. Meanwhile Stiller still has There's Something About Mary and Dodgeball. I could see a lot of Sandler's comedies canabalising him points.

Count me in among the Wedding Singer fans.
The meh reaction to Wedding Singer so far is aggravation level second only to that induced by the Zoolander hate.
I've loved and but also hated this countdown.
By the way, Wedding Singer was on TV the other day... Guess what? Ass planted.

That's one thing I miss about living with my parents having cable TV. No chances for ass planters if all you have is streaming. I'd have to go out of my way to find my movie.

Mr. Deeds? It’s one of my favorites. And I don’t think of Ben Stiller when I think of Dodgeball. That’s a Vince Vaughn movie through and through. I'd be surprised, Deeds rarely comes up in conversations when discussing Sandler movies.
PW doesn't discriminate when it comes to roles, a lot of films have made lists despite actors having small roles.

I honestly thought if there was another movie that could take the #1 spot in the countdown it would be this , and it was actually struggling for awhile before making a late push to #3 where it belongs and possibly could be even higher.
It's a seminal comedy of the 90's and one I thought would even fare better in the 90's countdown. I still love the movie , Stiller is great in it and that bathroom zipper scene is iconic but IMO this was Diaz's big coming out party as the lead in a somewhat romantic comedy with again , the iconic hair gel scene and just playing the perception of a perfect woman.
The supporting cast is great , the writing is great , the jokes resonate to this day and it's probably The Farrelly Brothers best film when you take everything into consideration. Happy it got Stiller back on the board.

In all honesty I have ZERO CLUE why bodyslam submits lists. Sounds like a good story idea for a PW News INVESTIGATES! special feature. = = = = = I first saw TSAM in a cinema drafthouse when I was still probably too young to get most of the jokes; i.e., I had no idea what the jiz on Stiller's ear/in Diaz's hair was meant to be. And yet I loved it for whatever reason. Upon many subsequent rewatches, my love has only grown. And I think Wife loves it equally. I think it was either the first R-rated movie she ever saw, or her little sister ever saw. To this day we quote "I'm just fucking with you, Ted" to each other so often that she has this as my saved contact picture in her phone: In fact, now that I'm thinking about it... debating another avatar update.

Kinda surprised here as I really thought it was having a shot of not even making the countdown. Yeah, Billy Madison not making a previous countdown has me not always expecting the obvious picks. Think I've only seen it once and should give it a revisit since I likely missed a lot of stuff.
