I just thought it was a Canadian word for remote control. Like how Brits call it a clicker. Reminds me of the anecdote about how Jaws had a different title in Latin America because the Spanish word for Jaws translated to Mandible, which didn't sound intimidating for marketing. So Jaws ended up being called whatever the Spanish word for Shark is. tiburón.

Had PDL in at #9, technically better as a film than movies I rated higher, but I felt those were more enjoyable. PDL is a great movie, but not one I can return to as frequently as others.

I just thought it was a Canadian word for remote control. Like how Brits call it a clicker. God bless british regional dialects, I've never called it a clicker in my life. Remote control is how I've always rolled. Neither of these were on my list, but given the praise for Punch Drunk Love I may seek it out.

Is it just me, or does Punch-Drunk Love seems like it'd totally be mikec's jam?

I fucking hate Zoolander. I hated it when it came out , I hate it now and it's more than likely my least favorite movie either of these two have made. It makes me angry that it placed over much more deserving Stiller or Sandler movies and one of the main reasons I wanted to stick to ten is just so this movie may have never made a list.
I'll give credit to Stiller for writing and directing it and for also making a comedy that clearly left an imprint on a ton of my generation , but it's still an unfunny pile of shit.

I actually kinda like Zoolander. I don't even know why. Its quirkiness appeals to me, which is weird, because Stiller's quirkiness is usually very off-putting.

Whoa... Zoolander not only criminally low, but also got people ( UT - Yute) straight up HATING on it!? What. The. Fuck. Are you sure you're not confusing it with Zoolander 2? -_-

Zoolander is the first from my list to make it. It was my Number 10. It's been so long since I saw it that I'm maybe doing it an injustice being so low, but it is what it is.

I usually love them but this one missed all the bases.

I'm trying to think back and put myself in first-time viewer shoes... I vaguely feel like the first time I ever saw Zoolander, it was more miss than hit for me. But then it grew exponentially on me upon repeat viewings. I feel like Talladega Nights and Dumb & Dumber had similar trajectories for me too.

This.
I like the fact that Ben Stiller is not a gorgeous man, but that you could believe him as a vapid, male model was greatly entertaining and showed his range. Oh sure you lose a couple IQ points just watching it, but it's frivolous fun and as I said before I enjoy movies that are.
Like Rogue, it was my number 10, but there's one Stiller movie I forgot and am kicking myself for not putting on my list, I think it would have kicked Zoolander off. I hope it makes an appearance because it's very underrated.

For the record, it appears Zoolander was my #3 & Wife's #7... so this household is fighting the good fight along with ya, @ness. I think Wife enjoys Zoolander so much because she too struggles with left-hand turns.

I haven't seen Zoolander in a good few years, but it and another movie are my go-to images when I think of Stiller. If not for trying to sneak a certain film into the countdown as my #1 I would've placed it a little higher. Him and Owen Wilson are just magic. Love the strut walk in the cave, the little people house, etc. Just a great Ness-level comedy.

I just know I was sitting there watching it dumbfounded and annoyed that it wasn’t ... funny. The quotes that came after it never worked for me and annoyed me and fueled the hatred I’m sure. I would say I’d rewatch it and get back to you but I’m not rewatching it. Ever. Twice is enough and 10 years isn’t long enough ago.

UT's thoughts on Zoolander are exactly how I feel about Step Brothers. Step Brothers isn't just "not funny". It goes beyond that. It is so not funny that it makes me angry. It's anti-funny. To bring this post back on topic, I don't think even the worst Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller movie could instil the loathing I feel for Step Brothers. That said, I'm not willing to put that to the test.

What's a clicker and a doofer?
Pass the remote, please. Or handset. Handset is acceptable.

This is Dodgeball for me. What I watched was one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point during its brutal 93 minute runtime was it even close to producing anything that resembled a laugh. I felt dumber for having watched it. I award it no points, and may God have mercy on its soul.

We Canucks call it a remote and being that we are a British Commonwealth country this is the correct and acceptable term.

@ness I cannot speak for the others but I am 100% sincere. Dodgeball is one of my least favorite movies of all time and I regret not doing literally anything else that one night I watched it like 15 years ago. On remotes, I got a kick out of this article I found earlier. www.cnet.com/news/tv-remote-pass-me-the-hoofer-doofer-what-do-you-call-your-remote-control-tv-licensing/I have no room to talk though. I call it a paddle. :ugh: It drove my mom crazy. Can't believe paddle didn't show up in the article I linked to. You silly Brits.

'If you can dodge a ball you can dodge a wrench'
It's one of my go to's to tickle my funny bone up there with Bringin' Down The House, The Birdcage, The Hangover, Uncle Buck, Great Outdoors, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Wayne's World, 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Office Space, Austin Powers, Old School, Wedding Singer, Liar Liar, Ace Ventura & 50 First dates. If those are on I'm sitting down, watching and laughing no matter how many times I've seen them.
