So, Lionheart says Dodgeball is fucking hilarious and he loves that toilet store line, it's his favourite anti-humour joke. I express an interest in this line and ask to witness it. Lionheart shows me a line from Anchorman, a line that isn't funny in the slightest. You got very little right there, but you were correct on one point. It is anti-humour. Brilliantly worded description of the events that just occurred, but your conclusion about getting little right was wrong. That entire scenario is a great accomplishment of anti-humor which I perfected by doing it all right. In fact, pretending to get the movies wrong was actually a pseudo-intellectual parody event that, since you weren’t in on it, made you think it was really the dumbest thing of all.

Ya know all this "PW has no taste" hating on great movies makes sense why there was such a meh vibe to the idea of a Sandler countdown. Oddly enough the hate is directed at someone else, but the fact that Billy Madison didn't even make it to the 90s SNL countdown should've been my giveaway that I would not enjoy the results going into something like this. I hope that changes as I'm losing faith in my PW brethren. Yes. Lose faith. Give in to the dark thoughts flowing within you. Join me on the dark side, Ness. See now Tropic Thunder is a great comedy , absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. The commentary on Hollywood is still on point to this day and I know people have a problem with the Lazarus character but I still think he is one of the most quotable and hilarious characters ever. I just love everything about him in that role and Downey nails it. It's also got the greatest cameo in movie history with Cruise.
It made my list , but I did drop it a few spots because though Stiller is awesome in it and he also directed and wrote it - I feel like RDJ and Cruise are the two main takeaways from the movie and what elevate it to greatness.
Should have made the overall top ten.

Nah Stiller is above Black. He's more annoying in that movie than funny. And RDJ is the best. Seriously go to the IMDB and just read some of the insane quotes that he pulls off. Cruise is an ultimate heat check and hilarious too but RDJ carries most the movie.
Also you forgot McCoughany , who is also fucking great.

2008 was really RDJ's year. Never seen it for whatever reason, but all the things I can recall stem around his character (you people, full retard, the used quote above) so now I'm gonna find a way to add it to the ever-expanding list.

I would've sworn @ness had not only seen Tropic Thunder but seen it multiple times and rated it in near proximity to Zoolander, Dumb & Dumber, etc. Also, thinking on it, I agree with your revised performance ranking, UT. Although I don't know what a heat check means in regards to Cruise.

I haven’t seen Tropic Thunder since it was in the cinema but I enjoyed it for sure. Forgot about it for this countdown , would probably have bumped my number ten off.

Even in the first five minutes when you start seeing the fake trailers it seems like this could go 10x bad but then they crush it and even a few of the trailers are hilarious. Tropic Thunder was my #2. Yes, really. I haven't seen it in a long time but I do remember it's one of those rare movies that honestly makes me laugh out loud no matter how many times I've seen it. It's a great commentary on Hollywood as UT said, and still relevant today. Downey Jr nails it, and the rest of the cast are just brilliant too. I am a Cruise fan (sorry) so that cameo I just loved, it's the best thing he'd done in ages. Another one I'm going to revisit when I need a break from Supernatural.

Best thing about Tropic Thunder was Tom Cruise. When I watched it I had zero idea it was him. I kept thinking ‘this guy reminds me of someone’. When the credits hit I was amazed.
I thought RDJ was good but honestly it’s not a favourite of mine so it did not make my list.

Just doing some incredible/memorable things in a very little amount of screen time. Paul Rudd in Forgetting Sarah Marshall , Matty Mac in WOWS are two of my other favorites.
