Nath, for Joey Ryan, the King of Dong style stuff is not what was the problem. It was the King of Sleaze gimmick and sounding like Joey lived the character too much.

Ryan doubled down on doing nothing wrong and claiming that social media culture is the problem on Patron. He is not apologizing for his actions, only if people were offended by them. This is what we see a lot from people who are problematic. They think the problem is how people react to him doing stuff to them, and not the stuff he actually is doing. This also means he will not likely change as he fails utterly to see how his actions could be problematic. If he posted a sincere apology that showed some self-reflection or growth it would be a different story. But he is not.



Abby Laith (Kimber Lee) posted an absolutely horrifying story.

Really shocked not seeing Rory Gulak (Little Mondo) coming up.  He was utterly blackballed and most of the conversation was said to be off twitter between workers and promoters.

Keyfabe still exists to some extent and some things people do try to keep offline. For each of these accusations there is likely shit being shown to promoters to back the claims.



Curious what happens with Havoc. His case is the classic one of two vulnerable groups clashing. On one hand he did a lot of fucked up things to women. Feel like if you have to go back over 40 year to find incidents to crucify people for that is a different story than people are having now. When you leave no room for people to change you remove all incentive to change. After he cleaned up he became a different person and did a lot of good, particular with the LGBT community in the days when they had few allies.

I went to an autograph signing a few years ago and went for Zack Ryders autograph. This motherfucker was staring at my girls tits the whole fucking time. I swear. Just an fyi, when you start a post by shit talking all the other members implying they don't do the sex enough, it really isn't a way to get people engage in meaningful conversation.

Nazzer covered things very nicely with his post before about consent, but I think an extra piece of information that people might be missing (and leading them to their "I'm not defending Joey Ryan, but I'll go ahead and make a post defending him" takes) is that he's the promoter of a wrestling company. It's not like he flew this woman in as a friend or guest. She was working at a show he was putting on. If you think that somehow permits him to sexually harass and assault her then you have serious issues.

There's a report out now that he's been fired by Impact. Hopefully he never works in the business again. Dude deserves to be in jail.

It's kind of ironic considering his cancel culture gimmick in Impact.

See this is why the hazing in the wrestling business needs to end now. I know it's a way to break someone in but it becomes so dangerous that people take advantage of it. Reading the Kongo Kong shit was really frustrating, just someone using their size and seniority to their advantage to bully someone out of money and enjoyment of humiliation. There was probably so much BS in the wrestler's court that I think Taker would be far less liked for enabling the JBL's and Bob Holly's from the treatment they gave the younger kids. I think the one good thing now is wrestlers are too smart and too social media caring of their brand to engage or enable this shit because it's so dangerous.
