When I first started and I was travelling with wrestlers one of them expressed their disgust how it was basically a competition as to who could sleep with the new trainee each time there was one & if they weren’t interested/taken wrestlers would just ignore their existence
and they would never get booked. Male trainees would get heat if they didn’t have a girlfriend (I assume to keep them away from dating female trainees), one female wrestler was interested in a male trainee at the time..he got scolded for trying to date her saying it wasn’t on. Said wrestler has been pretty vocal about this stuff recently.

I can think of only one female trainee who went on to debut who didn’t date someone in wrestling out of many cases of trainees. Then they get hit with the “you’re only booked because you’re dating ___” .

Both Sammy and Sasha have issued statements about his comments. Sammy apologized and Sasha said they spoke to each other directly and had an open discussion. Sounds like they handled this privately like adults. Hopefully this is a lesson learned for Sammy.

Thank you, but that's just the thing, I don't know a woman who hasn't overcome something like this.  Not one.  Back when most of it happened, it was 'just the way it was', so while I knew it wasn't right it didn't get called 'assault' cause that was a bad word and it must be my fault.  There are so many like me out there who have endured the same, more and worse.

I don't really care to hear about the Corny story in terms of guilt or innocence, I'll just say this. I don't like what Jim has to say about modern wrestling 99.9% of the time. I find his commentary on the subject to be a waste of his time. I love hearing his takes on old school wrestling because they are actually useful. If he was a part of any of the things he's been accused of then I'd want him to vanish from everything but his cult. He can't scream about EVERYTHING that doesn't suit him. Thank you for having enough trust to share this with the community, IM. The more who speak out across the world, the better. I know too many women in my own life who have had to go through this, and I'm sure there's several more that I don't even know about.
