On the issue of men being sexually assaulted that was brought up on the previous page, I thought it was really brave of Keith Lee to share his story of being roofied, to show that it really can happen to anyone and that being a big imposing dude doesn't mean you have to hide things for fear of having your masculinity compromised.

During my goth days I was in a few situations that would be #metoo moments if I was a girl. Shit definitely happens.

CHIKARA getting slammed hard. A lot of vaguebook posts from others by CZWiggy being done. Accuse Quack of sleeping with trainees, the trainers abusing students and other stuff. They all have a certain level of pettiness to them here though. One of the stories seems extremely petty and vindictive. The main complaints are having being expected to do ring crew duty, paying for training and not moving to the main roster. Implies that Quack ended the career of one of the students for not wanting to hook up with a trainer. Feels like some of the kids I seen who did not make training though that blame everyone else for them not making it, but really would not put in the work. They would not have the cardio to train properly, and seemed to not actually want to train. While girls like Banks and Mercedes known in my area for working their asses off, other girls would come and go as they pleased, get easily winded, not want to work out and not take bumps even in training or practice with guys. Then they would get pissed when they were not on shows but the girls who spent every chance they had in the ring working with the guys were put onto shows despite being "newer".

Not surprisingly the girls that were complaining did not make it.

Marty issued an "apology" and asked people to not making his accuser feel unsafe. What is weird, is never actually apologizes though.

Keith Lee posted a story about how he was drugged and (probably) raped by a woman. It’s on his twitter if you want to see it.

Insanely brave of him to share that. I can only imagine how much of the fan base is calling him a pussy from behind a keyboard right now.

Lee got shit from the start for posting about this. He knew it was coming and gives no shits.  Others on twitter are sharing stories in his tweet saying they inspired them to speak out.

When my parents split when I was younger, my mother sent me to go with one of her family friends during the school holidays (as she was annoyed I was sitting at home all day) for a work trip to pick up a dump truck. Said person and his wife had been a family friend for years so I didn’t think anything of it. The dump truck was there and he berated a worker for it not being there but I feel like it was a work. We stayed in a hotel and during that time he touched me inappropriately, kept trying to pressure me to let him perform oral sex on me (didn’t occur) and I woke up in the middle of the night to him masturbating in the bed across from me. Being young..I didn’t have money, a phone or a way to get home so I just had to hope he would take me home the next day.

He also asked my sisters then boyfriend for nude pictures and other weird stuff.
My younger brothers also just casually told me he asked how much they masturbated

I went to the police with this information however my mother told the police I was lying and told above parties not to speak to them and they didn’t have enough evidence to proceed without co-operation from other witnesses.

My mother is still friends with them.

My youngest sibling also revealed during a therapy session he
(she at the time, he is ftm transgender) was molested by my dads friend at my dads 4th wedding. I wasn’t at the wedding, but my siblings told me he started crying profusely and couldn’t work out why. There is a current investigation into the matter.

Always makes me uncomfortable when people let their friends or strangers look after their children unattended or without filming them.

I have my own story to share. It's tame, but it stuck with me and gave me a pretty good idea of how helpless and scared a human being feels in such a situation.

In my early 20s I attended a lot of gigs, often alone, because nobody likes the bands I like. I don't remember the band, but this particular show was a moderately large one for heavy metal standards, several hundred attendees. Going to gigs alone is not a problem for me. Totally cool with it. I was stood in the crowd in between bands, fairly close to the front. My ass was groped very firmly and deliberately. My initial reaction was fear. I was frozen. How the heck do I handle this situation? Some time passed, probably a few seconds, and I turned around. As I remember it, none of the people directly behind me met my eye. I think there was a man and a woman. I returned to facing forwards, terrified that it would happen again. What would happen if it did? I think I would have just walked away. Find somewhere else to watch the show. The thought of confronting an anonymous groper, who probably wouldn't admit it, was terrifying and embarrassing. I didn't feel threatened, but I felt violated, and unable to do anything about it.

Fortunately, it did not happen again. Even more fortunately, that is the only time that I have been sexually harassed. But it was not nice. Not nice at all. And that's only a tiny fraction of what most/all women, and a lot of men, experience on a regular basis.

As I’ve said before, it happens to men too. Sexual assault is sexual assault.

There is so many things I initially put up with, whether it was conversation wise or physical with friends that I never realised were inappropriate until now.

There was an incident that happened when I was 6 with my brother, at the time I thought it was normal experimentation. I told my mother and she called me a liar and that my brother would never do that. I went through a year of counselling and they refused to let me go and stay with my Dad (At the time he was living at a caravan park and they blamed one of my friends there saying they did it). I started to go through all types of ‘touching’ that I simply did not understand at that age, and instead of helping me my mother hated me and refused to acknowledge anything about it. My friends were moving away, I ended up lying and said it was them so I could see my Dad again and put it behind. My brother has never acknowledged it (he is 5 years older than me, so he was very young himself and probably doesn’t remember it at all). I have tried to speak to my mum again about it multiple times - it doesn’t go well any of the times. This has severely impacted all my intimate relationships, and I’ve only told one person about it.

At one point during high school my friends created a game, where they would grab my chest. It started as a joke between a female friend and myself that the male friends than decided to adopt. At the time I thought it was just stupid fun and that complaining about it would make me seem like a ‘prude’. Since then (it’s been almost 12 years) they have apologised numerous times but I do wish I said something back then, as I feel like I lost a lot of respect for myself and they lost respect for me.

I let friends and ex partners push me into situations I wasn’t comfortable with because I wouldn’t stand up for myself. When I was 18, I had a very small party with my best friend, her boyfriend, and a guy I was into. I drank a lot with them. My best friend and her boyfriend were very open with their relationship, and I didn’t realise how much until it was too late. My best friend had sex with the guy I was into and forced me to go with her boyfriend. At the time I thought it was just a bit of fun that normal couples who are comfortable with sex do. But the guilt about sleeping with her partner, especially since it was my very first time. Caused me break down and cry straight after and they all told me I was drunk and I’d get over it. She then told my male friends what happened, and it spread quickly around the group that I was no longer a virgin. Again, the male friends have since apologised for talking about it with her/them before talking to me. But I have always regretted that moment and wish it never happened.

I went out to a nightclub with friends. It’s the local ‘gay’ club. My friend just came out at the time so he felt comfortable there. I was groped multiple times by men and women. The men were openly gay, and my friends made fun of me for being uncomfortable because they obviously aren’t interested in me sexually. I didn’t go out clubbing for almost a full year after this happened.

With my self respect still very low. The partners I dated were not any better. While one was very respectful when it came to intimacy, he lied consistently and ended up stalking me after we broke up. This caused me to do everything to be ‘pleasing’ to my next partner. There was multiple times where he called me a tease/bitch for touching him but not continuing (basically if I had a hand on his thigh, he would expect more from that). I fell asleep once when we were ‘fooling’ around because I was really tired after University, and once I woke back up he insulted me and said that I was lazy/useless/not good enough etc. a few times he insisted on sex after I said no and caused me to cry during it (lights were off so I don’t think he ever knew I cried, but I obviously remembered). He threatened to punch me multiple times for multiple reasons (he never did) this caused me to pull away from the relationship and he started to accuse me of cheating on him with my ex (my ex, one of my friends and myself did a shave head/dye hair for cancer fundraiser together) this was the first time I saw my ex in almost a year.

Since now dating System, I was super needy at the start of the relationship. I wanted to be around him constantly. I had no respect for myself, I just made my life about him (so it was the complete opposite of the other relationships) and it’s taken me out whole relationship basically to realise that nothing about my past relationships were healthy. The start of the relationship and how I was wasn’t healthy. That it’s ok to say no to the things you don’t want to do.
And while he or I might see something as a joke, it could actually really upset the person ie. if I slap him on the butt etc.

(Sorry about the long post, but it’s astounding how much one person can go through and doesn’t realise how wrong it all is until they are 28 years old).

I understand when you say you felt pressured and forced into situations. It shouldn't be the way it is, but often young men and women have low self esteem and want people to like them. They are sometimes raised with feeling like they cannot speak up for fear of upsetting the apple cart and so they just go along with things even if they are uncomfortable and even if they know it's wrong sometimes. So sad.

They take long leaves of absence and kind of do “seasons” where they run a bunch of shows then stop for a while. They would be active now if it weren’t for the pandemic.

Chikara after the stuff about Quack and Saturyne having an affair and that was why they went into a "shut down" due I *think* the wife (not her) pulled funding. So this doesn't surprise me. Awful industry.
