I posted about my friend on FB the other day and I just let it all out.
The amount of love, compassion and understanding I received was positively overwhelming; These were happy tears today. I feel so fortunate and grateful for life.
Me and an old friend plan to reunite soon and sing songs together to him on the front porch (due to his immune system w/Covid going on and all).
Gf and I spent the day hanging out with our friends (gf's longtime friend and her boyfriend). The bf is also going through some hardships and so I decided to introduce him to the band Vulfpeck to possibly cheer him up. My dude literally cried, sang, danced and smiled for the entire concert video; Music truly heals people.
It feels good to bring a smile to a downtrotten face. It feels good to live.

@admin -- Master of good taste; the PW influencer (yeah, sorry - I hate that term but the shoe does fit). If you were a shitty admin, trust me, I wouldn't be saying this. Instead you stepped up and helped to save a huge part of my teenage nostalgia and brought this place back to life. I'll forever be grateful for that. Thank you and others like you for everything you've done & do. I'll wear the title proudly like the activewear on a hot blonde running on the beach. Honestly, thank you, the recognition means a lot to me. I'm thankful for this forum too, and everyone that contributes to it. I love that the new PW really feels like a family, and that I've come to learn a lot more about those that used to just be names on the screen. There's no drama any more, just a great camaraderie. I feel extra appreciative about it, especially at the moment with our enforced limited interaction.

That was also 12 years ago and judging by his interviews he knew exactly what type of film he was making.
He's evolved a lot since.

So I did a thing.... .... feels SOOO much better to have it at shoulder-length now. It was getting so long that it was starting to get stuck in-between my armpits whenever I sat down, about 2 inches from my belt buckle before GF cut it. Proceeded to troll my friends on FB into thinking I had cut it all off only to pull a fast one on 'em: Me: "Nahhh, just fuckin' with ya!"

I never would've guessed in a half million years that Dr. Emperor had long hair. Totally imagined him with Harry Potter 4 hair at the most unkempt and longest. Just straight up stunned right now. And loving @ness's transition from newsman to roast master.

Such mad rizpekt for all the folks who've braved the parenthood path and lived to tell the tale.
Clichés aside, sleep deprivation is real and SUCKS. Gives me mad rizpekt for old school soldiers on combat patrols who had to operate in life and death situations with zero sleep.
Friends and family who've been there before says it does get better, just gotta grind through this first bit. But boy, what a grind so far. Still no idea how people return to work while there's still a newborn at home.

Guys! My first ever wrestling article just dropped! I am so geeked: "Beyond the Prehistoric Death Cult: Caveman Ugg"
I've wanted to do this since I was 13. I used to read articles from this very page on the old boards and think "I wanna do that!" and now here I finally am. Please give it a read if you have the time. Also, go watch some Caveman Ugg matches while you're at it because the guy is seriously underrated/talented and deserves more love.

I got a Oatmeal Creme Pie Big Mac. One side had a lot of baby batter and thought it just got squished in the box, but turns out it simply had 3 cookies instead of 2. Weird, but hey.
Also apparently I got an extra 1000 this check. I guess the recent contract called for backpay.
And it's quiet in my house. Can't ask for anything better.

Made a Soundtrap account earlier today. Ben and myself are finally going to work on this album that's been 5+ years in the making and hitting the studio... and by studio I mean my laptop. I've been messing with synth lines all night and having way too much fun in the process. The drum pad on the other hand is a tricky, sinister bitch and I want nothing to do with her right now.
Molotov Foxtail is back, bishes. This time I just wanna make a damn record for the fun of it rather than wasting the effort of trying to get laid and failing quite hard in the process.
Also considered just poppin' xanies and drinkin' some lean so I can live out my quarter-life crisis dream of becoming a Soundclap mumble rapper and just throw everyone for a loop: Lil' Rad???

I fucking love you all. Yinz made me cry happy tears like a little bitch with all your outpouring of love and support. Cliché as fuck, sure... But PW is family. Leetle Seester in-law smuggled in a charger for us, so back in action. Also through the thick of things, so have a little more mental/emotional bandwidth to update yinz. Not to bury the lead, but things seem to be working out good here finally. We'll hopefully be getting discharged to go home any hour now. The quick background... son had started puking about two weeks back now, with frequency and velocity and volume steadily increasing to the point it was getting really hard not to believe friends and family and even the nurse's desk at the pediatrician that babies just puke... It's what they do. Wife —being the genius and amazing mom she was clearly meant to be— helped connect dots on some other symptoms earlier this week, and we strong-armed the pediatrician into seeing son on Wednesday. Pediatrician was like, well... This could be nothing, but not a bad idea to get an ultrasound just for peace of mind to rule out this one unlikely hard to pronounce problem. So we get an ultrasound scheduled for the next afternoon with radiology at Children's Hospital. Radiologist does her thing and is like, uh... We need to get a hold of your pediatrician. son apparently has/had pyloric stenosis, which as we've come to understand it in layman's terms is his sphincter muscle is too thick to allow food to pass from his stomach through to his intestines. Hence all the vomit, stomach distension, weight gain stagnation, lethargy, etc. Hilariously this is apparently an issue that mostly happens to first born white males. I guess that demographic is so privileged otherwise, nature had to come up with something to teach them a little adversity? Anyway, at least son and BROCK LESNAR!!~ now have having gastrointestinal tract issues in common. Something for them to bond over between wrestling lessons! Anyway, where were we? Oh, yeah, suddenly on a conference call with the radiologist and pediatrician. son needs surgery, we need to go downstairs to ER to be admitted. Uhhh, ok... What? Talk about making shit suddenly seem terrifying. Gravy on the poutine to the situation was son hadn't eaten since noon so that his stomach would be theoretically empty for the ultrasound at 3pm. We get down to ER and admitted, thinking son will be taken back into the OR any minute. Instead... We wait. And wait. While son starves. And no one informs us of anything. No real plan. No status updates. Every hour or so we're asked if the surgeon has been by to see us (no...); then told, oh... we, the surgeon will be any minute... Finally around 11pm they transfer us up to a patient room. We figured maybe this is where the surgeon would finally come see us and brief us. Nope. We deduce on our own that surgery now isn't happening until sometime Friday. At least one of the nurses was straight-up Mary Poppins magical though, so that was nice as far as helping to sooth son who's supposed to be eating every 3 hours and instead is nearing 12 on an empty stomach. A doc finally comes in around midnight, recaps us on what pyloric stenosis is and what the surgery entails. OK, great. When will the surgery be? No idea. Schedule for Friday is already set, and you're an add-on. First availability, if there is any. Otherwise rinse and repeat and hope for an opening Saturday. Dafuq!?!? 24 hours after his ultrasound, son is finally slotted in. The trip into the depths of the OR was actually the best part of everything in so far as the surgeon we finally got was very communicative and clear (had a sexy Australian accent to boot), surgery went according to plan and timeline (perhaps even faster than expected), and we were back in the patient room by 5pm thinking we'd be heading home in a few hours. The surgery was a laparoscopy and involved cutting the muscle so the inner tissue could/would bulge out through the outer tissue and thereby create a bigger opening. Scars will be three tiny holes, including one through his just-healed belly button. He'll match his mama from where she had her surgeries to clean her endo off her bowels. Feeling a little bit like I need to get my guts cut on now to feel like a proper member of the club. Anyway... To go home, we were told son would need to eat two 2oz meals three hours apart and keep them both down. Docs and nurses made it sound easy peasy. son gets his first 2oz of food 33 hours after the last time he was allowed to eat anything. What a tough fucking trooper! And he holds it down. Until just before the next feeding. Each puke resets the counter. He puked up his second attempt at 2oz three hours later again. So reset again. Third attempt 12 hours after the first was a puke too, which Mom & Dad knew was coming. Docs said fuck it, don't feed him again for a bit, plug him back into the IV. Is what it is, we guess. By this point, even though no one communicated it explicitly to us, it was clear we'd be spending another night. Don't feed him again for a bit turned into like another 8 hours without food. Then, yesterday (Saturday? We've lost all sense of time and day) we tried giving him just 1oz. He kept that down, so we tried 1.5oz a few hours later. Then a few hours later, just before midnight, we tried 2oz again. He kept it down this time, but we were in for another overnight since he'd have to hold down a second consecutive 2oz. Which... He did! We're now up to four in a row, about to attempt a fifth before being discharged. All in all, as unexpected and scary as all this has been over the past however many days... Still wouldn't trade or change a thing. Everything happens the way it's meant to and all works out eventually. As hard and terrifying as this parenting thing can be, it's definitely super worth it. You just man those foxholes, do what you can do, love as hard as you can love, and be thankful for all the support you're fortunate enough to have. And for us, that includes our extended family on PW; i.e., yinz. Also, best part about all of this over the past few days... Discovering Wife might be just as into AOC as me. So perhaps a three-way to celebrate one day? Maybe once she's elected as first-ever female and youngest president. We'll paint the walls of the White House white. To close things out until we get home, here's some pics... One for all of our extended PW family: And one specifically for Uncle @ness: ... I'll catch up on missed shit and backfill required likes as soon as I can!
