Keep at it. Working through mental issues is tough but it feels amazing when one day you realize they aren't affecting you any longer. Lexapro was great for my anxiety once I got the right dose.

It took me 10 counsellors to find one I liked.  No shit.  And shockingly I ended up with a male one when I was sure I wanted a female one. 

I was super angry.  Like beat my ex with his own shoe, got kicked out of a shopping market and theater when I lost my crap on people being idiots.  Went to anger management 3 times.  First time, I ended up cussing them all out, telling them they didn't know WTF they were talking about and leaving.  Second, time I stayed a little longer into the program before I lost it.  3rd time finally took.  Have been thinking recently might need to go in for a refresher.   People who've met me may think I'm lying because I'm a super nice person and I am, BUT...I have a terrible temper.  It takes me awhile to get there now, but before it was hair trigger. 

Your anger could be your defense mechanism of not wanting to deal with things. It's easier to say 'this asshole doesn't know what he's talking about' rather than facing what could be the underlying reasons of your issues or dealing with them. Scary and brave as fuck buddy. Good for you.

I used to be the same as well, especially in high school if someone pissed me off.
Glad I stopped before I could get charged as an adult with assault charges etc.

My wife and I celebrated Legalization Day by smoking. Unfortunately, I didn't take into account that it's been like 3+ years since I smoked weed and rolled a fat one like I normally would in my prime. I GOT BLASTED. I came up with some excellent inventions and ideas, too.

Nah it was 10pm BUT I did wake up late for work and showed up 45 minutes late today. Total low life status. LOL.

Now make it a daily thing.

Today the world felt more normal...
Took the day off work for a family outing into the city for the last day of school holidays.
Did some shops, caught a couple of trams
Went to the Melbourne star
Then Crown for dinner

First time I have felt like the world is starting to get back to something resembling normal, I wouldn't say the CBD was a ghost town but easily only half the people you find milling around in the streets.

But twas a good day... And I even had my t shirt on the right way.

So a documentary I've seen about pitbulls says that when shelters get overrun we ship them off to Canada to try and pawn them off on unsuspecting citizens. As much as I wish they were just put down... Canada kinda has it coming since Canadian Geese fly south to us.

I'd take Pitbull over geese.

The cobra chickens are everywhere in my neighbourhood. We have a number of man made lakes nearby so they flock here. People are always slamming on their brakes everywhere because the Geese are always on the road. People have caused numerous accidents trying to avoid the Geese. Drives me nuts. They'll move, trust me. They have a sense of self preservation.

Goose poop everywhere. Ummm Positivity? I love it in winter when they screw off and go bother Americans.

Feeling rather positive today.

Went out with a group of friends yesterday, some I haven't seen since the panedmic started, one I hadn't seen since the 2019 play off final defeat.

Was good to see people again, good socialising and what's not good is the hangover.

Hey guys, I'm not dead. I had to take some time away for personal reasons.

Apologies for ditching out on the draft, it honestly wasn't intentional. Let's just all agree not to ever let me start a draft again.

Hope all you lovely fucks are doing well regardless.

Things that happened while I was gone:
- I got a raise. My boss is talking about paying for me to go to school so I can hopefully become certified. So that's pretty exciting and is a good bounce back from quitting HVAC.

- Saving my money like a big boy for once and not living paycheck to paycheck. I've had one slip-up since starting here. Stimulus definitely helped, too.

- I'm no longer a "centrist". I listen to a lot of political commentary on Youtube or Spotify when I can at work. The irony of listening to anarcho-communists while I'm there is certainly not lost on me. I haven't veered that far left but I have no doubt anymore that I'm closer to that side of the political spectrum than anywhere in the middle. Tl;dr: The Pol thread is gonna be even more fun now...

- I got hip to cartridges and have a co-worker who sells me gummies from Michigan when off the clock, so that's been fun. I regret not getting on here sooner to document the experience but promise to do so next time.

- I've been doing some soul searching and I'm considering therapy. I've still got a lot of things to work on but I was not in a good headspace to be posting here or any social media for a few months, coupled with some toxic family drama that was going on in my day-to-day.

Anyways, I missed you misfits and I'm back.
