Let me know the recovery goes. I want to get the procedure done but rather not have to take time off work if I don’t have to. It was meant to be a 4 minutes and back to work deal. Mine was one of the worst he's ever done apparently. My vasectomy hurt like hell after. I was walking gingerly for fucking weeks. This whole “oh it’s so easy” is a crock of horse shit.

How old was she Lony ? One of the crazy things these days is the way they tell women that they can delay having children to later in life, women's fertility drops off almost like a cliff as a woman reaches her mid 30s. I think you dodged a bullet mate, any woman who would return to a man that threatened or showed violence towards her children should be beneath your contempt. Unfortunately some people are really broken and her attraction to a bad boy and her manipulation of you is a terrible narrative of her character. Do all her children have different fathers? That's a bit of a red flag in itself. She's 30, and yes both of the boys have different dads.

Yes they had to search the immense area thoroughly to find a way through my significant gentlemanly estate. Pre clearing the shrubbery doesn't seem to help on such generous acreage.

I want to get the procedure done but rather not have to take time off work if I don’t have to. It was meant to be a 4 minutes and back to work deal. Mine was one of the worst he's ever done apparently. Probably took him the majority of the time to prop up your massive dong so he could get to where he needed to get. Obviously. Jokes aside I hope you're ok and there are no complications. I've never heard of something like that before. I know of one guy that had some ridiculously bad swelling and had two basketballs between his legs for like a month even his surgery went ok from what I was told. Apparently it's something that can happen to like 5% of guys. I had the same procedure done and the entire thing was maybe 15 minutes, and that includes the awkward small talk between me and my family doctor while we waited for the surgeon and I laid on a cold table with no pants on. System when all goes to plan and there are no complications your recovery time is about 24 hours. I can only speak for myself and a friend who had the same experience as me though. Everyone is different. But generally speaking you get a day on the couch with an ice pack on your crotch and you're good to go. The best way I can describe the feeling is when you get hit in the balls and after the initial shock pain goes away and you feel that residual throbbing pain...basically a mild version of that which just doesn't go away for about a day. My doctor told me not to lift anything heavy for a week after regardless of if I was feeling fine or not, so I assume that rule applies still. Don't want to risk tearing anything and having to go back.

I've had three friends whine excessively about their vasectomies. I reminded them to know their audience - while I'll never have to have a vasectomy due to my infertility and not having vas defrens, I had sperm removal surgery twice, where the surgeon literally cut open my balls. The second was so much worse for recovery. No local anesthetic for those surgeries, right out. Anyways, happy healing iNCY. I'm sure it'll be great for the sex life not having to worry about contraceptives or pills or what not.

Major props to all of you who've taken the contraception 'hit' for your team (or for your own personal reasons), rather than having your partner going through surgery after they've born your children. Partnerships and peace of mind at it's finest. I'm sorry for any of you for whom it didn't go smoothly for and wish you a speedy recovery iNCY.

We waited to see if we wanted a third, but the second pregnancy was so brutally rough and high-risk, she just couldn’t put her body through it again. So … snip snip.

Really shows you how much easier it is to get the snip. No one mentioned anything about showing up with binders and a psych evaluation to get the procedure done. Opposite gender got a real battle to get theirs done.

Really shows you how much easier it is to get the snip. No one mentioned anything about showing up with binders and a psych evaluation to get the procedure done. Opposite gender got a real battle to get theirs done. It's a strange one, if you were 21 and had no kids you'd find it difficult to get the snip. Where I went they'd do it no questions because they see reproductive rights as human rights and it is none of their business what your motivations are. I get doctors being nervous though, they have a commitment to do no harm. This dr also did circumcision and there were some families in the waiting room for that, it is becoming almost impossible to circumcise here. I only had daughters but I'd made the decision if I had boys that circumcision would end with me. I have no issues with being circumcised and asking around amongst female acquaintances it seems there was a slight preference for the snip, but most preferred whatever their partner was... just couldn't find a good enough reason to continue the tradition. Again drs are seeing it as harm for no purpose.

Circumcision is not done here either unless you pay. They don't push it like they used to when we were born. You can now elect to have a caesarian as well for $. I don't know why you would want to though unless you had a particularly traumatic labor like I did. It's definitely not the 'easier' way, though many think it is.

It's a personal choice absolutely. If I'd had born a son, I would have.
With regards to a Caesarian, it means greater healing and having one can cause it's own complications, so I always get upset with people who think having one means it was an easier birth. The literally cut your abdomen and then your uterus. That's a lot of layers to cut through and then have to heal all while taking care of a new life wholly dependent on you.

I'm not circumcised so there wasn't even any discussion about doing it to my boys. Unless it's religious reasons, it simply just doesn't happen in Canada anymore. At least the past 35+ years.
Reading a few Reddit circumcision threads and holy hell all I remember is how angry each side was at the other.

It is different to that here now iron maiden, it doesn't matter whether you pay or otherwise, most doctors refuse to circumcise these days. I take your viewpoints Foos, iron maiden, and KJ, Circumcision is something people have strong views on and that is fine. It is only annoying as with many things, people already have their strong opinion.... Then use data to validate the opinion they already had. I think it is kind of weird that I am circumcised, my wife prefers it, but it wasn't done for any religious reasons... Only because my Dad was. Just didn't seem enough reason for me to subject a baby to a pointless medical procedure. The guy doing my vasectomy and the pretty young nurse we were discussing while my circumcised old boy was flopped out there shriveling in the air conditioned office. I think he was circumcised but none of his sons or grandsons have been. His attitude was if kids ask you why their dick is different to Dad's you say because some idiot cut the end of mine of when I was a baby now go outside and kick the football.... I thought this was a fair response.

For what it's worth, my dad is circumcised, but stopped with him, generally because of your similar viewpoint on it iNCY. Pretty much all of my friends of the same age are not circumcised, and of course none of them circumcised their boys. I know one friend a bit older than me that had his three boys cut, because that's how he is.

Everything I’ve read says there’s benefits and risks. The benefits, to me, outweighed the risks, and like for like, I absolutely defaulted to my situation.

I know one friend a bit older than me that had his three boys cut, because that's how he is. I am pretty sure it is going to become illegal here at some point. If if didn't it will become next to impossible to find a doctor who will do it. Everything I’ve read says there’s benefits and risks. The benefits, to me, outweighed the risks, and like for like, I absolutely defaulted to my situation. I read pretty much the same data I am sure... What it seems to me is that there is very little risk/reward to make a definitive decision either way, so it just defaults to what you were planning to do anyway. I have read a lot of information that talks about the loss of sexual pleasure in the removal of foreskin and there are many different types of circumcision apparently where different amounts of skin are remvoed. Even that data to me seemed to skew to the viewpoints of whoever was making their case. We would have to find a sexually active male who was circumcised as an adult to really know I guess and to be honest, I really don't care that much... My penis is spectacular though... In case anyone was wondering.

It's interesting how its never viewed as male genital mutilation. Poor choice of wording. "Never" is inaccurate. Maybe in America, but that is certainly not true for many other countries who have all but stopped the practice.

Ugh. So how much extra work do you figure will fall to you? Only some. We are pretty good about being realistic on how much work can be done with the amount of resources we have. We don't have a bunch of busy work that needs to be done each week. The pace we deliver features will slow down. Brutal. Assuming you’re okay though? Yeah, I made it through. Looks like it was LIFO and I'm the most senior on this team.

Company had layoffs today. My team lost three, leaving us with four. We were the hardest hit single team. I'm sorry. I know this pain all too well. We went through so many layoffs, up until 2 years ago, I had an empty box under my desk. I'm glad it wasn't you though. Hopefully, it doesn't affect you/your area too negatively in terms of work distribution.

Get some sort of ivy/brush rash on my arms at least once a year because the entire perimeter of my acre of lawn to mow at work (outside the fence) is nothing but nasty poisonious plants. I can't do much about it since it's an abandoned field. No matter how much I do to be proactive it always gets me every season. Usually around April so this is the longest I've lasted without getting hit. I wish I could just rent a bulldozer at the start and end of the warm months to bury these hoes. All I can really do otherwise is spray and trim. Usually ends up going away in a week or two so I don't waste time going to the dr getting a steroid shot. Sadly health insurance is basically if I'm being admitted overnight otherwise I don't chance getting a nasty bill.
