Can't believe Blindy was online and didn't mention this - Darrelle Revis is back after signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was making $6 million this season not to play, but I always felt like it was likely he'd be back at some stage for one last run after things went very south during his second stint with the Jets.
The Chiefs were one of the most interesting teams heading into this week regardless, to see whether they would be able to revitalise their once potent, now struggling, offence against the flagging Bills. Revis probably won't play this week, but who do the Chiefs have in Week 13? The Jets.

I'm currently writing something up for this week. Life keeps getting in my PW journalist way! But while we're here, yes, crazy pick up by the Chiefs. No offense to my Jets fandom or Jets fans, but I hope Revis picks them off twice in his return game. Revis was the man.
Also, in other news, the Seahawks released Dwight Freeney who was immediately scooped up by the Detroit Lions. I still think the Lions are winning that division, because the next bunch of games for Minnesota are on the road against tough opponents. If Detroit wins tomorrow, they're taking that division.

I've got no idea why Seattle released Freeney, as he'd been really quite good for them. Good pickup for the Lions though, they'll need to generate all the pressure they can get against that really strong Vikings o-line.

I don't normally pick against New England. I just expected the game in Mexico to be the game that got Oakland back in the playoff picture. I predicted the Raiders to be in the AFC Championship game so I had to bet the marbles.
As for Thanksgiving,
I got:
Detroit Lions def. Minnesota Vikings 30-27 - The first matchup was a defensive battle in which Detroit won 14-7. The upcoming schedule is going to knock Minnesota out of the division lead and put Detroit in it. A win here for Minnesota will more then likely give them the division title. A win for Detroit puts them a game back with the 2-0 head to head lead. I see Matthew Stafford going Stafford-Time in the 4th quarter throwing for 2 TDs including the game winner with under 30 seconds to go to Golden Tate. 14 unanswered points for the win.
Los Angeles Chargers def. Dallas Cowboys 27-17 - The Chargers are coming off of a dominating performance and Dallas is coming off of back to back getting dominated performances. They get Smith back on the O-Line, but Zeke fought that suspension too long. The Chargers continue to fight for a wildcard spot and possibly a division title with a win here. The offense struggles again for Dallas.
New York Giants def. Washington Redskins 23-14 - The Giants beat the Broncos before it got cool to beat the Broncos. Now they stunned and shut down the Chiefs. The Redskins lost Chris Thompson for the year and Terrelle Pryor. They'll also be without Jordan Reed, again. The injuries are too much for Washington and the G-Men keep pushing themselved out of a top 3 pick with another win on Thanksgiving night.

With Giants/Redskins basically a toss up, but Vikings should roll the Lions and the Cowboys doing the same to the Chargers, but in this NFL, I won't be surprised to see any outcome.

Kaser missing the kicking net warming up on the sideline is one of my favourite moments of the season.
The Chargers are consistently one of the most hilarious teams in the league. 70 and 89 yard drives and no turnovers to start the game = zero points.

The crazy thing with the Chargers is they have so much talent on their team. They're mental mistakes away from being division champs last season and this season. Let's hope their defense can keep up this dominance in th 2nd half. Rivers to Allen is hot right now and they haven't missed a step since last week. Still can't believe I benched him last week.
I also nearly was perfectly correct about that Lions/Vikings game. I went nuts when they blocked that late FG until I saw that poisonous yellow pop up on my screen. Fucking offsides. The Vikings just won the division today. Case Keenum looked elite today.

The Cowboys offence just isn't the same without Zeke, and we know their defence isn't any good without Sean Lee.

Embarassing efforts on that Allen TD (nice effort by him though) by the Cowboys defenders. Five guys had a chance to tackle him and none of them could get it done. Stick a fork in 'em.

This is the sort of Jamieson Crowder performance I expected to see a lot more of this season, with Chris Thompson out Cousins seems to have refound him as his favourite receiver.

And the Redskins take the lead again on a completely horseshit defensive holding call. Giants 10 Redskins 10, Referees 7.

Flowers shows once again why he is the worst offensive lineman in the league. How in the hell he hasn't been released yet is beyond me.

Eli has been fucking terrible tonight. A few drops sure, but 11/24 for 77 yards?

Should have never been phased out for Pryor, he's the man. Battled an injury this year. And fuck Mevi$, he is fucking done. No speed, no heart, no nothing. Get ready for one on ones with WRs burning him down the sideline

Should have never been phased out for Pryor, he's the man. Battled an injury this year. Well he never really was, Pryor never got on the same page with Cousins and only received more than five targets once back in the season opener. I expected him to take another leap this season with D-Jax and Garcon out of the way, but his role has stayed largely the same while Thompson has become the focal point.

Was I trippin or was there a fan in the end zone with a big Houston Texans banner throughout the game? How pleasantly random, somebody repping the Texans at a Redskins game.

The only time I see you posting about something other than the Texans in here is Joe Gibbs. Could have been imagining it. I need somebody to confirm that this was real or I'm really losing it. I enjoyed today's games. Keenum was a guy I felt like we should have stuck with, he lost every game he started for us back in 2013 but he really showed some flashes of greatness in some of those losses, he was a rookie too. I always felt like we should have just stuck with Keenum and Yates going into that 2014 season, instead Bill O'Brien brought in a revolving door of jabronis that wasted a lot of fucking time and money. We got Watson now so I guess it all worked out in the end, everything happens for a reason. I actually learned over the Summer that Keenum was a big reason that Kubiak was fired here late in the 2013 season. I never heard this until I started posting on some Texans forums over the Summer. Apparently Bob Mcnair was big on Keenum(he was a popular Houston Cougar) and insisted that Kubiak start him there in one of those late games, Kubiak ended up benching him for Matt Schaub and he was fired that Monday. Two years later he's hoisting up the Lombardi, for the Broncos. The more you know.

Still though Eli also missed some key throws, including a 3rd down conversion he threw in the dirt and an easy potential TD pass he threw over Vereen's head. This offense just sucks all around.

Yeah that was definitely a rough showing on offense. The Giants defense held their own and slowed down the Redskins offense. Eli made some bad throws, but everything was dropped. Eli has the most drops by his receivers this season. They showed the statistic during last nights game. So all this talk about getting rid of Eli is just plain stupid. He's not to blame for this season.

However, winky face, they do have a legitimate chance at the AFC West. They have a cake walk besides their division games. Browns, Redskins and Chiefs. Then again, this is the bad luck Chargers and they may do it again by giving the Browns their only win of the season next week. So let's not get too excited just yet. If they do win the next two against Cleveland and Washington, their match up with the Chiefs will be huge.

The Chiefs remaining schedule is the AFC West and the three bottom teams in the AFC East. It’s gonna be hard to lose a two game lead.

Well if you can't beat the Giants at MetLife, why does it change vs the Jets who have given much more effort this year at MetLife next week? I would die to see Revis cover Robbie Anderson though......

Eric berry is gone though, he was the clear heart and soul of that defense that hasn't been able to remotely replace him.
