So there’s a show coming up on Saturday and I’m not booked (as of writing) but will be doing stuff behind the scenes, would you guys be interested in like a “day of an Indy show” style video?

If someone drops out I may end up in a match but no guarantees so if that’s the only part that’s interesting i understand.

Just woke up yesterday to a bunch of messages with variations of
“What happened to Kingdom?” And we all get was a brief message in a group chat then the public announcement which I was pretty disappointed with.

all signs point to it was just a money issue and was too proud to say it.
New venue wasn’t near any public transport and just a small hall so they weren’t a great draw.

my mate that came to the show (front row) brought it with him for me to use so I borrowed it off him during my entrance.

I pitched a bring your own weapons gimmick for that match to maybe help boost the crowd but it was a no. People have brought in stuff for another hardcore match I had, just ironing boards and crutches. Nothing stupid or dangerous.

Do you know match results like that ahead of time? Or do you mostly find out when you show up, up on the white board. Am I overthinking the prestige of an indy belt lol? Maybe there's no "reigns" planned and some retain based on who actually showed up.

90% of the time you just found out on the day. People higher on the card might have prior knowledge, for example people who have contracts elsewhere but still wrestle on the Australian indies have stipulations as to how and where they can do the j-o-b.

How it normally goes:

Promoter pulls myself and opponent to the side.

Alright I want 10-12 minutes, tells us stuff they specially want.
(IE hardcore match I had promoter insisted we used a ladder)

Asks us for ideas we’ve had.

(My opponent) over

Then when we have a group meeting we check the finish of each match to make sure people aren’t using the same finish.
