A bunch of teams have already entered their offseason even with a few weeks left to play and 2022 has the potential to be one of the craziest offseasons in recent NFL history with some huge names potentially on the movie. Especially at quarterback with Watson still out there , Wilson seemingly out of Seattle , Aaron Rodgers , Big Ben leaving Pitt and who knows about lesser names like Jimmy G , Baker or even Tua. A few teams on my mind: Seattle Seahawks - I said Russell is probably on his way out and am interested in not only where he goes but what Seattle can get for him at this point. Him coming back from that finger injury might have been the worst thing to happen to Seattle ... not only did it not do anything for their season but it also might have hurt his trade value because he is not playing well at all. Not that he still won't command a decent haul but I do think the asking price has to have taken a hit now. It's why when Todd brought up the fake Jet's trade a few weeks back of Zack and a 1st for Russell I didn't think it was that far off base. Maybe a conditional pick or two and that seems fair. I think if they could get a young QB prospect and a Top 5-10 pick for Russ they should take it and start the rebuild. Houston Texans/Carolina Panthers - Honestly this is the Deshaun trade that SHOULD happen at this point. Carolina needs a quarterback , Deshaun might have the most equity in Carolina given where he played college ball and they could easily package McCaffery in there. I love Cmac as much as the next person but the fact is that he can't be counted on to play a full season and you aren't going where Tepper wants to go with him being the most important player in Carolina. Get Deshaun in there to revitalize his career and legacy and Houston gets Cmac , a fan favorite type player that should be able to sell some tickets and jersey's in Houston while giving them someone to watch on the field. Obviously Carolina would have to throw in picks to complete the trade but I like this as a starting point. Chicago Bears - A franchise in complete flux. Head Coach and GM are going to be gone , they have a bright young potential star at QB but not a whole lot else on the roster. If I were Chicago I would return to my identity and hire a hard nosed defensive coach and bring in a up and comer to coach Fields and the offensive side of the ball. Giants - They are standing pat aside from Gettleman I assume. I'm split on it , I don't think Judge is terrible but has been dealt quite a terrible hand and Jones has barely had a chance to succeed. I don't think I'd go into next year with Jones as the only option but I could see giving him another chance. Then again if Russell Wilson becomes an option and they get a more aggressive GM then all bets are off. Washington Football Team - Season not technically over but they should just start themselves on fire now.

No way Russell Wilson waives NTC to go to the Jets, too much of a bad stigma with the team and I think Mike LaFleur took this job because of Zach Wilson alongside the payday increase/playcalling. Can't see Joe Douglas even with his back against the wall mortgage all the draft capital he invested for a small term QB fix, especially with so many holes on this Jets team that the lost draft picks and salary of Wilson would take up.

Not saying it's a sure thing but anything can happen , especially for a big city franchise desperate for relevancy in a the biggest market of all. I wouldn't lay money on it happening but given that Zach didn't exactly show a ton of promise , Russ might come a little cheaper - I wouldn't completely rule it out. I don't think it would suddenly turn the Jets into contenders but it would at least make them interesting again.

A few more teams I'm curious about this offseason now that they've entered.
Browns - I know I say Russell to the Jets but I really don't see that happening. I do think the Browns could and should be major players in the Russell sweepstakes - especially now that the asking price should be lowered enough to enter their bidding range. Fact is that they cannot go forward with Baker and I think them getting Russell would be a perfect fit. They have the roster in place around him aside from maybe a true #1 target but with that offensive line and running game - it would bring him back a bit to his glory days. Especially if the defense continues to grow. Letting Russ cook isn't the solution but letting Russ be a hyper overqualified game manager and playmaker is whats best for him.
Vikings - Boring ass team - I don't see a ton they can do rosterwise unless they truly decide to move on from Cousins. Zimmer is out so I'm curious which way they go with the next coach.

I don’t think the Vikings should stay boring. Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook are both superstars. They need to figure out a way to succeed with these two on the roster.
Baker Mayfield will most likely stay in Cleveland since he’s guaranteed all that money on his final year and he will be playing for his career there.
I’m also curious what the Raiders do with Derek Carr. Is he bad or good? Nobody knows!
Deshaun Watson to Carolina better happen. I would hate for CMC to have to go in that trade though as I’d love to see them two on the same team.
I’m already ready for this weekend of football and the playoffs. I can’t even imagine the chaos of this off-season yet. It’s going to be wild.

The Vikings rarely make huge splash moves. They haven't been over .500 at any point for two seasons. There fans , which equal way too many of my friends have been screaming for an offensive mind that isn't archaic. I just don't know the Vikings do it. Tice , Childress , Leslie Frazier. None of which are exactly inspiring past hires or guys who were hot candidates. I could easily see them go safe with a Jim Caldwell type.
I see no reason why Cleveland sticks with Baker at this point. I'm not even a huge hater of his but it's clear he isn't going to be the guy and they have a roster built to win right now and have spent a lot of money and resources fortifying 52/53 spots on that roster. They can't waste another year on Baker.

Agreed on Baker. He’s clearly holding them back.
I can’t wait to see which team Mike Williams robs this off season. He reminds me so much of Will Fuller and Kenny Golloday of last season.
Speaking of Fuller; I’m not counting out Miami going for Watson either. Tua hasn’t been bad, but he’s not winning them a chip either.

Williams is just hurt too much so your comps make sense.
I think a lot of teams will be in on Watson.
Miami Carolina Pittsburgh (maybe) Denver Saints
Can’t say WFT because that would be terrible optics.

Watson has the NTC so he controls fate. He probably wanted Miami due to the black GM and HC and they are a QB away from contention(And some OLine tinkering), still stunned he didn't want to go back to Carolina since he's from the south and went to Georgia.
If Matt Rhule is let go and Watson gets a favorable HC in CAR they might not be out of it.

I agree with the buyer beware of Mike Williams, on top of his injury proneness there wouldn't be a QB he'd fit better with than Herbert.
Free agent WRs in general should be avoided, I saw a tweet earlier showing that basically everyone who has signed over the past three seasons has been a nonfactor. Unfortunately, the Giants have handed out the biggest FA contract to a WR two of those years.
With Godwin and Gallup recovering from torn ACLs I wouldn't be surprised if the situation is similar again with this class.

I would have loved to see Gallup go somewhere and try to be the guy. Not sure whether he is or not but it would be like a higher upside Corey Davis signing. Sucks it won’t happen now , at least right away.

So this AB drama got more intense as AB went public with his side of the story including having proof that Arians knew about his injury and seeing the top doctor of HSS to confirm his injury.
Looks like people got tricked into jumping the gun and blaming AB for all of it. It’s a slippery slope considering many athletes play hurt for the sake of their team. What do you all think of this story now that AB got his side out?

It's funny to see how quickly that statement has turned people in AB's favour. This is the same player and lawyer who lied about his vaccination status/card literally just a couple of weeks ago.
I imagine the truth is probably somewhere in the middle - he hasn't covered himself in glory during this whole situation but I doubt Arians would have aggressively cut Brown there and then in the spur of the moment on the sidelines. It seems much more believable to me that the "you're done" comment was in regards to him not playing in the rest of the game, not him being kicked off the team entirely - and that AB misinterpreted it and flew off the handle.

I don't think there's any real credibility to that, the rumour started because WashingtonAdmirals.com briefly redirected to the WFT site and people jumped on that like it meant something. It now redirects to a food service charity so was obviously some sort of awareness stunt.

Hard to really believe AB’s side of the story, giv n that he’s given no real reason to believe him for several years now.

Wishlist (unrealistic):
Fire Easterby and McNair out of a cannon
Wishlist (realistic):
Some interior O-line help to cover Mills' weak movement Some bulk on the front seven to stop the run A nice package of first round picks for Watson

Hard to really believe AB’s side of the story, giv n that he’s given no real reason to believe him for several years now. He was jumping up and down on that bad ankle pretty damn good when getting the fans up  Probably had to do with him not getting his incentives met due to the snap count and AB wanted in on what was heading into the game a poor secondary like the Jets. He cameback off injury and wanted more usage, TB said sorry but can't risk it and that's what happened.

Calvin Ridley apparently being available for trade makes the WR free agency situation that we were talking about a little bit more interesting. It will be intriguing to see what sort of market develops for him and what sort of a return Atlanta are able to get for him.

Are teams willing to spend any capital on him?
Not to make light of his mental issues but they are clearly an issue with his availability going forward and just how long he might even continue in the sport. I’m sure a team will take a chance but I can’t imagine Atlanta gets value back for him.

Slightly rocky ground speculating on exactly what his mental health issues are, but it could potentially just be a case of needing a new situation. I could easily see a team like Philadelphia giving up a first rounder (they have three!) to acquire him.

It's rocky but considering his own comments about it needed a break from football - I don't think it's totally out of pocket. It could just be a change of scenery is needed but is that any better really?
I hope for the best for him , he's a fun player to watch and great talent but as a team I would be hesitant to invest a lot into him at this point.

Would make sense , he can’t stay on the field and they need to start over completely on offense.

Brian Flores fired, insane. He did as good of a job with that Miami squad as one can do all things considered. I know they started the year off terrible and didn't make the playoffs once in his 3 years but cmon he inherited a dumpster fire of a team.
Not to make this race but if Culley and Flores are gone, it leaves Mike Tomlin, Ron Rivera and Robert Saleh as the lone minority HC's in the league.
