They've removed the mandates in two Provinces already. The two provinces most of these hillbillies are from. The trucking mandate came from the US as I understand it, so how they think protesting on Senior Justin's front lawn is going to help, I don't know. Just makes us look like a bunch of...hillbillies.

It's more about them being told by the MAN they HAVE to have a needle.  I get that point, but I also believe in doing what's perceived to be right for the collective good.  

I'm about 60 minutes from the US border at both North Dakota and Minnesota. Some bored farmers blocked both highways north and south so nobody is getting in or out. Thanks for stopping ours goods from rolling in.

Been about a week since the Freedumb farmers setup downtown. They harass everybody and honk their horns non stop. On Monday they got a train horn and hooked it up to the air compressor in one of the diesel trucks. You can hear that thing from so far away. I really feel for the residents. I only work downtown.

And police? You got it. Doing nothing because they don't want to "incite" the protesters. No wonder we want to defund them. They now take up 25% of the municipal budget. They'll break up Indigenous and BLM protests but not bored white farmers and their racist out of work white supremacist friends.

I'm disgusted. I'm embarrassed that this loud, awful minority group of idiots have shut down a major road downtown to blare horns and a train whistle all day and night because they don't want to wear masks to shop, or get a needle to go to a restaurant.

There's been grocery trucks unable to get through as well as other goods. Some places up North (I mean more North than I am) get fresh fruits and vegetables once a week and now not even that. Likely things will get resolved real soon. They are blocking off a GM plant and other US businesses who are likely screaming to Congress now via their lobbyists. US will demand either Canada fixes this or we will. I really hope the resolution is our police go up and keep and the border clear. Those protestors will not know what hit them, literally.  Or allow the national guard to cross the bridge and handle it.  Them protestors are being very careful to stay on the Canadian side of the bridges.

It's very interesting. When BLM protestors and environmental protestors were causing blockages, etc Alberta used Bill 1 to deal with them. I find it very suspicious they aren't doing it this time even though these protestors are disrupting the economy. So I guess its only when the hippies are causing the issues, but not the rednecks.

Same with the Indigenous protests as well. Clear systemic racism in action (or inaction if you will).

As usual Canada is all talk no action. They haven't done shit and protests are growing around the country. New border blockade forming in Surrey today and they've began to move people out of the Windsor border crossing but are making slow progress.

Today a group of people drove through Kelowna while I was out running errands with my wife. A guy with Alberta plates was honking at us so my wife rolled down the window and told him to go home. He called her fat.

Lots still going on. Banks have frozen accounts that are being used to fund the protests from donations within Canada and abroad. I don't see any real charges being laid though which is interesting as if this was indigenous or environmental protestors affecting the economy like these protestors are, they'd be read the riot act...literally.

Protestors opposing the convoy here yesterday created a barricade of their own and stopped the convoy headed to The Legislature. They were asked by law enforcement to stand down and stop blocking roadways or they'd be arrested. Rich!

In Ottawa a similar demonstration happened as they blocked the convoy from getting to downtown Ottawa asking 'why are we able to do what the cops aren't.'

Many retail locations and restaurants have had to close in Downtown Ottawa affecting approx 1500 workers depending on those hours for their livelihoods. People are being harassed for choosing to wear a mask. How is this #freedom?

While reading about both sides of this, this line really stuck with me: “That extremist element needs to be gone. If they just returned to peaceful protest, I feel like we could hash this out: I know some of them have legitimate grievances.”

That's the issue at the crux of this. The extremists are going to turn things ugly. They are forcing police and government into extreme action so they can say 'see, I told you so' just like they did with these mandates.

For these people the rights comes with no obligation. It is straight virtue of selfishness cult of Ayn 101. Those who fight for freedom want it with not responsibility for their actions. This is why it is a paradox, one person's freedom and be another oppression.

Honestly that doesn't sound too bad.

There's a few things that the emergencies act does that I'm not cool with, mainly the power that is now being given to banks to freeze any account they want, and I gotta do a little more digging to figure out exactly what this is all about, but overall this is kind of being blown out of proportion by American media (big surprise).

The act is designed to not tear up our charter or anything like that, and CNN doesn't even know where the fuck Windsor is, so don't worry about it. We're fine. This is just so the truckers can't pull more money for supplies and will be choked out of Ottawa. Hopefully it works because the next option is to send in the military and they won't be as nice as the cops and RCMP have been.

Coincidentally, last time Marshall Law was enacted was when JT's father was in office during the FLQ Crisis in the 70's. It was necessary then, and may be necessary now though I truly hope it doesn't get that far.  Law enforcement needs to be very careful how they handle this for a few reasons: it backs up the protestors claims of the government becoming a dictatorship (even though they made it happen) and about 25% of the convoy actually brought children with them.  I'm hoping it was to show them their right to protest as democratic Canadians, but I fear it might be for a less noble reason. 

The Convoy Protests only have 30% support here in Canada, the media makes it look like we are about to 'Romanov' Trudeau and his family Bolshevik style. (I made Romanov into a verb, look at that)

The whole thing makes me sad.
