Russia has sabotage teams in Kiev.  If you are not in a army group and on the streets you will get molotoved.  Seem a video earlier of it.  This is why the warning was given.  Russia has special ops teams are in Kiev and other place that were dropped via parachute.  Also now it is open war, those with the army are holding their weapons and not a phone.

In the capture videos too can see how little resistance the captured soldiers are putting up. Said most are not sure why they even invaded and they were told almost nothing.

51 tanks outside of Kiev disabled last night. Highly decorated general was killed as well. Putin pushing the rest of his forces into Kharkiv to try to get some victory but is being held off there as well for now.

As for the nukes, Putin is getting his ass handed to him so he needs to appear to have some strength. I still doubt he will actually use one as that brings in NATO.

Sanctions have frozen 50% of banking in Russia so far. International groups severing ties and selling their stake in Russian companies as well, while they can get goodwill for their now worthless investments at least.

It appears that Russia is repositioning to lay siege to Kiev. US intel is reporting that the majority of Russia missile launchers are not working. 1/3 of the Russia force has yet to be deployed.

Likely tonight though, Russia will move to blasting Kiev with missiles and mortars to get a position of strength for the peace talks. They cannot maintain the offensive for long since they have no supplies coming, but they could lay waste to the city.

NATO feels that they can defend any nuclear strike launched against their countries. They do not believe Putin has high tech nuclear weapons and is relying on soviet era missiles, which can be shot down.

They will be meeting for peace talks, but not yet. And the meetings are get to a cease fire. Putin knows he is in a place of weakness so he wants that fixed before they start.

Then again, it is very likely when the Ukraine people show up for the meeting they are just massacred.

Likely if Ukraine survives tonight, they get the first batch of supplies countries sent to them.  These get to the troops and they can hold off indefinitely.  

Disturbing comments from the President of Belarus – a staunch ally of Vladimir Putin – has sparked fears that the neighbouring nation could be poised to join the conflict against Ukraine.

Meanwhile, The Guardian is reporting that Kyiv’s former defence minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk has claimed Belarus is set to join forces with Russia.

“Republic of Belarus is highly likely to join the Russian war against Ukraine. On Russian side,” he said.

He continued, "We believe that the only reason for that decision was personal demand from President of Russia, which completely depends from Putin in its policy.”

Russia is launching missiles from Belarus. They are not openly engaged in the war, but they are supporting it.

Not really that big of news if they join. Maybe 30k more soldiers armed in older soviet tech join in. Sure they can mass take Kiev, but the more people they use to break Kiev the higher the loss of life will be for the invaders since Ukraine is heavily using molotovs / RPGs that do more damage the denser the enemy is.

When the full supplies come in they are getting something insane like 20k plus RPG missiles.  Several thousand Stingers as well.  Perfect for urban defense.  

Putin is moving his last bunch of troops into play now to take Kiev. They finally have surrounded the city and will start siege mode. They have to outlast the Russians now basically.

While the military in Kiev is less than the Russians before the invasion started Kiev had 3 million people.  If even a fourth of them stayed Russia is greatly outnumbered.  Just becomes a matter of arming people.

I’ve had a hard time following this as it’s moving so fast and it’s so brutal to think about. I have one friend from the Ukraine - not close enough that we talk every day but she’s been updated Facebook and worried about her family. Thankfully they are still okay.

Ukraine President makes ‘immediate’ demand


As peace talks get underway, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the European Union to grant his country immediate membership, as Russia’s assault against the pro-Western country went into its fifth day.

“We appeal to the European Union for the immediate accession of Ukraine via a new special procedure,” the 44-year-old leader said in a new video address.

“Our goal is to be together with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be on an equal footing. I’m sure it’s fair. I’m sure it’s possible.”

The Ukraine delegation has arrived for talks with Russia on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. The meeting commenced roughly midday local time (8pm AEDT).

The announcement the two parties would meet on Monday came as Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his deterrence forces, which includes nuclear weapons, to be placed on high alert.

The delegation includes Chairman of the “Servant of the People” faction David Arakhamia, Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov and Advisor of the Head of the President‘s Office Mikhail Podolyak,

They will be joined by the First Deputy Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group Andrey Kostin, Member of the Parliament Rustem Umerov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Nikolai Tochitsky.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has remained in Kyiv.

According to a statement released by the President’s office, Ukrainian officials demanded an “immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian troops”.

Really curious how these talks are going. Bombs are still dropping in Kharkiv as these talks go on. Russia doesn’t seem to have any intention of withdrawing.

I do not see the peace talks going well. Putin will be asking for Eastern Ukraine to be annexed, dropping of their plans to join NATO and the EU, and a return to their mutual defense pacts.

Russia is shelling apartments now in Kharkiv. Also confirmed they are using cluster bombs, which are a crimes against humanity to use.  That attack should allow NATO to go in as well.

Occupation would most likely be worse for the Ukrainians than fighting a war. Nothing good ever happens when you put bored, angry, young men in charge of a population that doesn't want you there, and it's especially worse when your leader is a madman hell bent on destroying the world.

The pictures this evening of Russian tanks lying prone to a drone attack are crazy. To send a convoy in like that without being certain of aerial dominance proves the Russian military, at least in terms of their skill and strategy, is not what we were led to believe. Brute force might still do it, of course.
